I have been through a "job" epoque -meaning in physical distress:diseases, operations, accidents etc. and loosing my children first trimester- since I came to God (1990) and people in my church - pentacostal church- kept telling me it was because I was lost because "God blesses those He love" and I just hung on to Jesus no matter what... and now I understand it was NOT because I was lost but because I wanted to grow in Him. that more of Him showed in me and less of me... I am still suffering physically of many things but lately thinking I had to fight for HIm... I let go. and I understood finally. and I thank God for His "forging me!" I have left the pent.. church over 15 years ago when in my heart He said: "Read My word as I have written it, not as men interpret it, Read my word as I wrote it" and I realized that the 10 commandments still stand to this day. even if the other churches don't believe that, and I thank Him for telling me. revealing to me things I couldn't find in that church... Thank you so much for this, it is an answer for my prayer (My husband and I live in a region without SDA so we grow alone but we are not alone for He is and always was with me to reveal His truth) THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY and His Love!
I have been an adventist for a few years. I have neglected to read the testimonies at times because I ache so much for the poor choices, poor use of time and powerlessness to fix it. But then I realize God is not asking me to, but to follow him moving forward. And he never asks us to do anything without supplying the means. Praising God for His faithfulness.
Mary, I couldn't have put it more eloquently & accurate. My regrets are same as yours...& I've been a Seventh Day Adventist my whole life so I was taught better than my some of my later behaviors & choices poorly witnessed. I feel a lot of shame in that realization at this age😔 I thank God every single day for His mercy, grace & forgiving love! So grateful He never gave up on me!...and for His repeated chances & patience for me to change my ways. God bless you & stay strong in Him! Time is near & I so rejoice in that truth!🙏🌈🕊❤
What do you mean though by "God is not asking me to"? He is indeed asking us to cooperate with Him in our salvation and education. Part of that is daily studying (not reading, reading is for newspaper) the Word of God and Spirit of Prophecy. I think we often don't do it because it's easy. Like Naaman we dismiss it. If God were to say to us to climb Mt. Everest as part of your salvation, I can almost guarantee 99.9% of Christians would plan to carry out the expedition because of how difficult and unattainable it is. There lies our true test of faith. Simplicity + Trust in God = Eternal Life

Jacob/Israel transformation is a key story on so many levels - well studied here in regard to the 'remnant' - Thankyou. The comments are very encouraging - to see so many watching and earnest to follow truth. Although we, as all, wrestle against our sins while holding to Jesus -- Our biggest discouragements have been about the hardness of hearts that do not even want to entertain any meaningful dialogue about the truths of God's word. By and large we see... -- If it can't be said in a sound-bite; they are not interested. They have no time to study God's Word. -- If it even begins to encroach on any of their pleasure and conveniences; they shut the proverbial door. -- If it begins to convict them of sin; then you are a legalist, and have become the enemy. Galatians 4:16 "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" Psalms 120:7 "I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war." We reach out in love, ...we cannot keep silent as they comfortably float toward the lake of fire. Thankfully we have seen a few coming to truth - but ever so small a percentage. We are coming to really understand Jesus as a 'man of sorrows' -- He looks around and sees these throngs and knows WHO will be saved and WHO will not be saved -- it is hard to even imagine the grief associated with that prescience. The road is narrow (strait) and at times we will be walking single file -- NO ONE beside us But JESUS. And He is all we will need. Although I am so thankful that my loving wife and I are on the same exact 'page' in terms of our spiritual believe and faith in Jesus. We have helped each other forward. It was her that led me to check out Christianity, then upon becoming a Christian God opened up truths in the Word to me which are not properly taught in the Sunday keeping denominations; and led me and her to the Seventh Day Adventist church. Iron sharpens iron. Prayerfully, we can remain aiding one another along the path as long as possible. Few of our old friends want to talk with us, as they know the conversation will at some point lead to us speaking truths about where we are in history & the soon coming of the Lord. Even our families are become distant. And we've been through much physical & circumstantial suffering as well. But we see how through this God has been doing a work in us, with patience being developed, and the world growing more faint in its attractions. There is a ever-widening divide in the world - which we must reconcile with in our minds; while simultaneously not missing opportunities to bring others into greater truth. And also assuring that we spend enough time at the feet of Jesus, and take of His bread from which we might share with others. We can have nothing to share UNLESS it comes from the Master's Hand. That all said -- Jesus ALWAYS gives us more than what we give up. He is an ever present help in time of need. Jesus is at the controls - we can only do what we can do - He is in charge of the converting and the results. And He is at the door of many hearts patiently knocking - He won't barge through the doors with a drawn sword to coerce any to His side. Praise His Holy Name. There is no greater place to be than holding onto Jesus as part of a people that truly seek to follow Him and be overcomers - regardless of the worldly cost thereof. Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." RH
Many years ago a certain Walter Martin brought Adventism to its knees before the Evangelicals, but now THIS Walter and Martin are lifting up Adventism to sit in heavenly places with Christ. Very good job guys! 👍

Jacob's trouble with his brother and the parallel to today. I see a parallel in my own life and my trouble with a sibling. I imagine we can all find parallels in our own lives. But the large picture they are describing is amazing.. I am 85 and going to be baptized in August. I struggle everyday to keep up with the things I need to do and my wretchedness and sin. Dependence on God is the only way I can continue.

I am experiencing delay. It has been tough, often times excruciating. Now, I know why. The Lord has me in His training camp. His spiritual gym. The importance of Jacob’s refusal to let go of the angel without a blessing reminds me of the woman of Canaan in Matthew 15 otherwise known as the Syrophenician woman in Mark 7 who would not be deterred from seeking a blessing though ignored and insulted…O Lord Jesus, may I have that faith!

Absolutely brilliant study today. The Lord has been bringing me through this process. 35 years ago my right hip bone died and then my left a few years later. I have been limping with Him ever since, but my walk through this life is being brought back to me and I can do nothing but repent as I am a particularly hard headed man. I see now that this wretch has been saved by Him alone. As I continue in my walk with Him in constant prayer and study of the Word, I realize more fully that I cannot do anything without the Love Jesus Christ has given me. Oh how wrong headed I have been in my life on far too many occasions to remember. However, He brings the sins to my remembrance and I am broken hearted at my lack of understanding who He is and what He has commanded me, us, to do. Thankyou for presenting an in depth study of Jacob's trouble. Many former things have been coming to mind lately for me, of which to repent. After a year and a half of chemotherapy I now have covid, and a sore hip! Either the devil is busily attacking or God says, "try this" ! Nevertheless the blessings received through this ordeal are absolutely incredible. I bow before God and my Saviour in grateful thanks and humility for His rich blessings and love for such a fallen creature. 💖💖

I was recently listening to the book, "A Trip into the super natural". After Hearing the accounts of Roger J. Morneau with the occult world, it became perfectly clear to me that, generally speaking, one cannot subdue the power of Satan for the purposes of saving the world. One can, however, turn to Jesus in all things and pursue His will in their lives. Many people, Christians, right now are trying to solve the dilemna that Satan is thrusting on the entire world. This cannot be stopped. We must pursue the calling of Christ in the Three Angels Message (Revelation 14) and focus on the needs for the uplifting of the church in readiness for His "Imminent Return". We cannot forget that His return was foretold to happen around or shortly after a time like never was before. That time is rapidly descending upon us. Maranatha!

Hi exactly, I'm just sad at how willingly my church / our churches followed the script. Received some harsh criticism for the choice I made and the welcoming sprit left also. Still don't feel comfortable attending when comments are thrown around by the appointed leaders. I have great appreciation and respect for the effort and message these guys deliver. I have heard some awful gossip from people who say they know Walter and the eyes that roll when one mentions his lectures is really disheartening. The earth seems to darken with every passing day.

I think it's time to look to a forever future, away from this sinful world 🌎 & to a new Earth & a new Heavens. I have met WALTER on enough occasions to know, the way he & His wife think, Is forever. Heaven / eternity/ new earth is cheap enough. I have also met Francis Du Plesis ❤️ this man has a heavenly glow & can see inside your soul. He is Walter's mentor & Heaven will be full of people like this. Unless our hearts become changed we cannot know this peace that shines so brightly.

Great message! We definitely need to be searching our hearts. Opening our heart to the Holy Spirit as He leads us to our unrepentant sins. These must go before the coming judgement so our sins will be blotted out and the latter rain can fall. Acts 3:19, 20 I would have to disagree with your comment on minute 55 about perfectionism. Perfectionism as defined by Jesus, is not compare ones self to everyone else but only to his Master which is Jesus. Luke 6:40 The DISCIPLE is not ABOVE HIS MASTER: but EVERY ONE that is PERFECT SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER. Our goal as a church is to use our gifts to bring everyone in the church to the stature of Jesus which is the goal for those seek to be a perfect man. Ephesians 4:10-13. The purpose of this gift, as stated by the aforementioned text, is perfection. If this is not our goal then we are missing the point. The goal is through the strength of Jesus Christ, we are to be like Him before He comes. 1 John 3:1-3

Jacob's trouble with his brother and the parallel to today. I see a parallel in my own life and my trouble with a sibling. I imagine we can all find parallels in our own lives. But the large picture they are describing is amazing.. I am 85 and going to be baptized in August. I struggle everyday to keep up with the things I need to do and my wretchedness and sin. Dependence on God is the only way I can continue.

I am experiencing delay. It has been tough, often times excruciating. Now, I know why. The Lord has me in His training camp. His spiritual gym. Even though my promise is yet to be fulfilled, I know that I am extremely stronger today, than where I was seven years ago. I shall listen to this message again and again and again. Thank you. The importance of Jacob’s refusal to let go of the angel without a blessing reminds me of the woman of Canaan in Matthew 15 otherwise known as the Syrophenician woman in Mark 7 who would not be deterred from seeking a blessing though ignored and insulted…O Lord Jesus, may I have that faith!

Absolutely brilliant study today. The Lord has been bringing me through this process. 35 years ago my right hip bone died and then my left a few years later.
I have been limping with Him ever since, but my walk through this life is being brought back to me and I can do nothing but repent as I am a particularly hard headed man. I see now that this wretch has been saved by Him alone.
As I continue in my walk with Him in constant prayer and study of the Word, I realize more fully that I cannot do anything without the Love Jesus Christ has given me.
Oh how wrong headed I have been in my life on far too many occasions to remember. However, He brings the sins to my remembrance and I am broken hearted at my lack of understanding who He is and what He has commanded me, us, to do.
I thank you for your diligence in bringing the Truth to all who will hear.

Thankyou for presenting an in depth study of Jacob's trouble. Many former things have been coming to mind lately for me, of which to repent. After a year and a half of chemotherapy I now have covid, and a sore hip! Either the devil is busily attacking or God says, "try this" !
Nevertheless the blessings received through this ordeal are absolutely incredible. I bow before God and my Saviour in grateful thanks and humility for His rich blessings and love for such a fallen creature. 💖💖

You know a quick story here back in the summer of 2017 while I was sitting in my thinking about finding a job , the holy spirit brought to my memory chapter 12 of the book early writings "duty in view of the time of trouble " since that time onward by God's grace I have been struggling on and hope continue till he comes may God bless his people as they move forward to carry out his ever present will for their lives amen 🙏
I feel the distress of end times already. I get so scared sometimes and have to remember that God can and will take care of me and that God loves me!
I was recently listening to the book, "A Trip into the super natural". After Hearing the accounts of Roger J. Morneau with the occult world, it became perfectly clear to me that, generally speaking, one cannot subdue the power of Satan for the purposes of saving the world. One can, however, turn to Jesus in all things and pursue His will in their lives. Many people, Christians, right now are trying to solve the dilemna that Satan is thrusting on the entire world. This cannot be stopped. We must pursue the calling of Christ in the Three Angels Message (Revelation 14) and focus on the needs for the uplifting of the church in readiness for His "Imminent Return". We cannot forget that His return was foretold to happen around or shortly after a time like never was before. That time is rapidly descending upon us. Maranatha!

Hi exactly, I'm just sad at how willingly my church / our churches followed the script. Received some harsh criticism for the choice I made and the welcoming sprit left also. Still don't feel comfortable attending when comments are thrown around by the appointed leaders. I have great appreciation and respect for the effort and message these guys deliver. I have heard some awful gossip from people who say they know Walter and the eyes that roll when one mentions his lectures is really disheartening. The earth seems to darken with every passing day.

I would have to disagree with your comment on minute 55 about perfectionism. Perfectionism as defined by Jesus, is not compare ones self to everyone else but only to his Master which is Jesus. Luke 6:40 The DISCIPLE is not ABOVE HIS MASTER: but EVERY ONE that is PERFECT SHALL BE AS HIS MASTER.
Our goal as a church is to use our gifts to bring everyone in the church to the stature of Jesus which is the goal for those seek to be a perfect man. Ephesians 4:10-13. The purpose of this gift, as stated by the aforementioned text, is perfection. If this is not our goal then we are missing the point. The goal is through the strength of Jesus Christ, we are to be like Him before He comes. 1 John 3:1-3
