Quick update to my prior comment, the nmea2k interface on the Simrad/Lowrance/Navico/Mercury Vesselview was an easy upgrade. Very clean and functional with what looks like almost total control of the HU. I scoured the web for screenshots, nothing. Stay tuned and I will have some up on THT & BBC. Mine will be on the Vesselview.
So... this is a 25 w RMS x 6 amp. Say I don't use zone 2, and I only have 4 speakers. Would this mean that it is now a 35 w x 4 amp? Or it doesn't work that way? Thanks
It will depend on the ohm load. Most speakers are 4 ohms, so you can either run multiple drivers per channel to lower that ohm load (the tradeoff is that you are now powering two speakers on one channel, thus splitting the power) or you can go the external amp route and get a lot more - and cleaner - power.
I accidentally deleted my current iPhone from the KMC5 and now when I can’t connect. I put it in pairing mode, my phone can’t find it. I’ve done soft reset on my phone and all kinds of other troubleshooting with the phone. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

Help please I bought your kicker km65 speakers which are 4 ohm but is see that your head unit runs 2 ohms . Will there be any complications with this mismatch on the ohms ??
Its not a mismatch. It simply means the KMC can handle 2 pairs of speakers per channel instead of one, but if you want to want to run one per channel, that's perfectly fine too.
How do I hook this thing up on an older boat to 2 amplifiers? I don’t need the powered output, I don’t believe. But there is no actual help as far as installation that I can find
Hi help please!! I have connected my kmc5 to my nmea 2000 to my Garmin echomap 122sv but it does not show up on the Garmin. All my other accessories show up no problem. Can you please help me ?? Garmin recommended contacting kicker

@@KICKER-AUDIO just recieved an email saying that it does not work on a Garmin unit even though it states on your website that it works well with Garmin units .I bought this kmc5 bc of what I read very disappointed
The internal output becomes zone1 in regards to volume only. It is not tied to either the front or rear outputs, so fading front/rear has no effect on the zone 2 internal outputs. It also works the opposite way so if you select internal power only the preamp outputs become tied to zone 1.

Kicker kmc5 DOES NOT work with Garmin units even thought it is stated on their website site saying it works well with Garmin. Just received and email from kicker to say so. Now I have a kicker unit that want work with my Garmin great.

If you pick Pre Amp Only for zone 2, does the internal output shown become zone1? Or is is inactive
