I really appreciate you sharing this. It's helpful as we go through these horrific expensive times to learn how others are navigating and feeling about it. I am a single Canadian girl too - from Calgary - and when I look around I sometimes assume that everyone else is doing great and what is wrong with me. So it's pretty isolating. That is one reason why your video helped so much. I have a health condition and to keep things under control I spend a lot on fruits and vegetables, so it's pretty hard to keep grocery spending low. ( I'm finding the quality and prices are a lot better in the ethnic markets. ) I've pretty much eliminated ordering take out and very rarely go out socializing. Have to take the good with the bad I guess. We are all just trying to survive. Right now I am focused on where can I move for a better and healthier life where I won't have to live in poverty. As you can imagine or may have seen - huge topic in Canada right now. Thanks again for sharing. 🧡
Thank you so much for sharing. It is not just you at all! It's so tough out there right now, sending big hugs your way 💗do you have any thoughts on where you might relocate?
@@kateismostlygoodwmoney Hi Kate! Same back to you - 💗. As far as escape routes - my friend has decided on Panama. Lots of benefits there. Malaysia comes up alot as well as Serbia if you can believe. Mexico is out as they've raised the qualifications for residency. It's pretty much only for the wealthy. But that's ok, there is still options for people like us. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Dang, that's about what I was paying in the USA also per week, maybe a little less, but around there. In Paraguay, after rent, $800 is more than enough for an entire month for all other expenses... TV, WIFI, Phone, Electric, Water, Food & Drinks, and casual leisure. It's about 1/4 the cost on average to live in PY vs. the USA. Just so folks know :) I hope you're able to relocate to a lower cost-of-living country yourself down the line!
It really is incredible how far that money goes in other places. I remember living in Bangkok VERY well for a fraction of the cost of being in Toronto 😭 so happy to hear that life is good in PY 😊
I use a budget app called every dollar. Literally track every cent every month in and out. I’m seeing that my average monthly spending is about $3000-3500, which includes almost $2000 just in rent and utilities. So about $1000-1500 for everything else in one month (I don’t count savings in my spending)
Ooh I've heard good things about every dollar! I'm in a similar boat as you, where it's just over $2000 a month for rent and utilities, but I think $1000-1500 for your discretionary spending is fantastic! 👏 👏
I watch the videos on your channel❤❤. Your video content is great, Also, the thumbnail design is very attractive. but your channel is not properly SEO-optimized. Your video description is not SEO friendly, with no related tags and video tags are too low. No channel tags, so views and subscribers are very low. If you don't solve these problems your video won't go viral, I can help you if you want.
How do you budget or track your spending? 💸

We have the same in Australia. A few companies own most stores, so everything is insanely expensive!
Loved this 👏♥
