- Well, this is just the beginning of the treehouse. I know it doesn’t look like much now,less than a month it’ll be full.
I have a few more things I still have to do out here just didn’t have time for this video, but I’ll get it done real soon and I’ll post it, follow along to see this treehouse turn into a nest.

You know it’s funny. I made that video five days ago and already my morning glory and nasturtium are up. It just goes so fast things grow up here.
That’s my favourite part watching it grow and then it gets overgrown lol 🤷🏼♀️
I did cut back a bit this year, but most of my seeds are coming up really well.
Just goes to show us what you we can on a dime🌸🍃🌸🌺 as I always say the ugly before the pretty .. because I’m a Thrifter I find things that aren’t that pretty and I make them pretty therefore that trickles into my garden. I just can’t even get over the cost of things this year so if I want to travel, I have cut back on some other things. We have a new carbon tax here in Canada and house taxes went up 10%. It’s just out of control. We really need a new government. We’ve gone up about 38% since the pandemic. 🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ This was a lot of sh#* you didn’t need to hear . 😂🤣🤣 I guess I feel like I’m talking to my girlfriend because we’re friends over this …just venting. Hello Brooke, I just love how the black and white compliment the vibrant colours especially the hot pinks and the deep greens. Those gorgeous candelabras and the striped lounge add an air of sophistication that is reminiscent of the Art Deco era. The Great Gatsby, stunning! I can already see the treehouse in full bloom and it is looking magnificent. You really do have a green thumb Brooke. Cannot wait until you hook up the light fixtures and day becomes night - it will look even more magical. Enjoy every minute of the day in your treehouse. Such an optimistic time of year. I’ve had two trips to nurseries, planted all of it, thinking of visiting a few more places. It’s easy to spend $200 isn’t it? Now I’m starting on my next hundred….it’s fun listening to you narrate your spring floral journey. I feel like I’m right there.
Oh thanks so much yeah it doesn’t take long at those nurseries. I’m trying to stay away. I went a little over budget but I had to buy some sod and soil too so you know it is what it is. I had a $250 budget but doesn’t take long when you have a new shade garden the porch and then my treehouse. It eats up the budget for sure it’s OK. It’s all pretty princess loves enjoy your garden.🌸🍃

I don’t use any plant food. I use banana water, ground up eggshells, coffee, grinds and then I take my old soil and mix it with new potting soil and remix it. I use no fertilizers no chemicals.🍃🍃🌸

Amanda, believe it or not it’s grown in front of my eyes. I left to go out for two hours today I came back and then nasturtium morning glories of growing 2 inches. I’m not even joking. You know how it is.🌸🍃

I'm so excited for your beautiful garden! It's coming along fabulously! ❤ The orange million bells, I'm like "Oh, they're here, Brooke, they're HERE!" Wish I could send them to you. The country garden center here has them in every color. I got red, light purple, burgundy.
I started my morning glories and nasturtium different this year... popped those seeds right in the ground and pots,... they took off so fast! 😮 I was amazed!
I'm doing little paint projects now... The old floral framed art needed some color in the sunroom. So now two are purple, and really pop.
I was visited this morning by a very petite female cardinal. She's the smallest one I've ever seen. She was watching my cat in the window. So cute! We have Robin babies in both nests, front and back of the house. They're dropping poop everywhere. Lol 🤣 i don't care

Brooke, looks amazing. Moving forward, May I suggest the annual called “Portulaca”. I always buy it in a hanging basket, re-pot when I get home. It is an ever-blooming floral, trails down over the side of the pot. Blooms during the day (sunny spot) and then closes up at night. Blooms from May-October
Love that! The thing is, I do perennials downstairs because they’re not in pots and where I have full sun is the treehouse so mostly annuals the ones I can save like my birds of paradise and stuff but I’m willing to look at it for sure. Thanks for watching. I appreciate your time.🌸🍃

The pink and orange will look fabulous…I had some seeds for these plants I brought back from Turkey, but can’t find them so next year if I find them…some were pink and some orange..I took my bistro set out and put a nice small fern on it with a tiny bunny….well my granddaughters put everything under the table and set up their bubble making machines.?..oh well I guess that will have to stay, they said they need that space.lol Have a great day…🌹💐🌷🌸

Love it. If you removed the grill you could add a little chair for setting with a beautiful side table with a small solar lamp. It could be so quaint. Always enjoy your videos, you are such a lovely person and a beautiful light.

I love all you did to the treehouse. I’m in Northern California and I have lots of vibrant orange poppies that came up all on their own. I will try your trick for putting mint around the base of the plant to ward off bugs.
Make sure your mints in a pot though cause it spreads like crazy don’t put it in the ground. Just put it around the plants in pots if your plants are in the ground, but it really does work .🌸🍃

When I was a little girl, I had a pink and orange dress and it was my favourite dress and I think it just stuck with me🌸🧡

Good morning Brooke ! I am a huge fan of wild salmon ! One thing we have up here is a great fishmonger! He cuts the filet right in front of me ! I want to thankyou for the crushed egg shells last yr on your blog - putting around roses so insects etc. wont eat them. It works so well and now my roses are healthy and doing really well.❤
No problem I just went and did it to my hospice cause I saw one was getting eaten. It does work really well though doesn’t it so glad it worked for you too.🌸🍃❤️

MORNING Momma B💕🌼🌸💐🌷Started my morning with you❤ Question. Do you use fillers in the bottoms of your pots or do they have holes for drainage? Like for the Geranimums🦋🐝🐜🌸🦠🌼🌺💐💐
Also do you always use new soil or do you just turn over and resuse old soil?
They have holes in the bottom. I don’t do anything special. I just use what I have. I’ll post in about a month. The garden will be beautiful up here again. I did wean back a little bit though. Thanks for your time today.🍃🌸🌸🌸 I use the oils old soil with a potting mix the and dump it all on the piece of plastic and then I mix it all through again and then I plant❤️

Busy, busy lady!!😉 I'm not a big plant person, but they're so pretty. Doesn't help I have a brown thumb. My grandmother had the greenest thumb ever! She could break a piece off a plant, stick it in the dirt & it would grow! lol My sister's that way too. I do like tomatoes & basil during the summer though.💖
It’s OK not everybody’s into it. I wasn’t into it for years either. It’s just been the past three years that I got into gardening. I used to do a couple pots in front of my house and walk away and cut some grass, but I’m Retired I found a new hobby, thanks for watching. I appreciate your time.❤️

We're not doing 1:05 tomatoes,bell peppers,or jalapenos like we usually do, we've had record breaking heat and drought the last 2 years. Over 60 consecutive days over 100 degrees and no rain the last 2 years! La Nina is about to give us a third year. Gardening has become quite a challenge here in south central Texas.
I’m so sorry to hear that We’re We’ve been lucky so far but where my sister lives they’ve had drought and so many fires.🤦🏼♀️ I think the whole world is just a little messed up🧝🏽♀️🍃🌸
Your treehouse was beautiful last year! It won't take long for it to fill in this year. I don't know why, but I always have a hard time growing things from seed. I've tried many times! Luckily, I have a great nursery close by so I just go buy all my plants now. I just planted my herbs and lavender this week.

My Wisteria that I grew from a stick, besides a few random blooms, has taken 20 years to bloom, now the top of my Pergola is covered.

I was thinking how could you get your grill downstairs without taking it all apart. Are there any teenagers in your neighborhood who could move it for you? Or on Market place but they have to move it.
Yeah, totally have to take it apart. That’s why I didn’t wanna really do it as I wanted to give it away, but if I take it all apart, I’m not putting it back together.
I love using worn out old silverware serving spoons for filling small flower pots. Something about the pretty ornate handles make me smile while Im working with spring flowers. 🌸 I love you little sitting area upstairs.

Some old fashioned orange marigolds would look great and they are fairly inexpensive (or they are where I am) and you can save the seeds year to year. I hope you have a great rest of your week. 🙂💐

I have them in the front planters box ,so I didn’t really want to repeat them and I like the wisest of the ferns blowing in the wind, but I’m sure they look lovely🍃🌸🦋

I take my all soil mix it with new soil ground up eggshells that I bake in the oven and they save all year ,coffee grounds, banana water, banana skin water. I should say I just soaked bananas skins in water.🍃🌸

A lot of work but coming along. I think that idea of planting the mint at the bottom of the household plants one brings outside is something I will do. That little oasis terrace is a nice escape to relax and have a coffee and read. Lovely Brooke as you always do in every video you make.
The birds of paradise is a little bit of work because when I bring it back in, I give it all new potting soil so don’t bring any bugs in the house for my other plants,. it’s worth it and she’s done really well. I don’t know what I’m going to do when she gets too big though I might donate it to the botanical garden. I give them my ferns every year.🍃🍃🍃🍃

I think you can add some nutrients to your pots and maybe not have to carry them to dump the old soil out. Maybe do some internet searching…..I love your gardens and your videos! Love your style! Thanks for sharing!
Good morning ! Come see in o 3 ,4 weeks my treehouse turns into a big nest full of flowers. I don’t dump the old soil out I bring expensive potty mixup and I remix it all together and I reuse it. I recycle it works every year. I don’t really waste too much and my plants grow beautifully. 🌸🍃🌺

Hi Brooke, all your gardening is really coming along. The street side garden is so lovely and enticing for ppl walking by. You may find several ppl relaxing in it one day. But my favorite is the treehouse garden. It’s a wonderful little retreat for you to chill after a long day of thriving.
