By the way, the neighborhood is called THE Fenway. When a local says, "I'm going to Fenway," they are referring to Fenway Park. No one lives "in Fenway" (not even Wally, the Red Sox mascot)! It's a shame that you spent an inordinate amount of time talking about the noise in The Fenway. Yeah, it's a bit noisy during games and the lights are bright, but that's part of the excitement of living in the neighborhood. I'm a 30+ year resident of The Fenway, the last 20 in a condo pretty much adjacent to the ballpark. The noise is not a problem during games. It is, however, problematic when they have live concerts at Fenway, but even that is only a handful of times. Also, just wondering how you can do a video about The Fenway and never mention Symphony Hall, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Gardner Museum, the Huntington Theatre and all the other great cultural stuff that's going on in the neighborhood. In my opinion, The Fenway the most under-rated neighborhood in the city, mostly because everyone thinks it's nothing more than a baseball Stadium.

It definitely is a neighborhood that has grown to become so much more than the stadium!

I believe my neighbor works as a nurse at the Brigham Hospital (I am not sure which hospital it is but I know it is one of the big ones in Boston and I am 90% certain its Brigham) which is like a block or two from Fenway Park and is also part of Harvard’s Medical Campus. Anyway she works like right near the Pahk, and one time I was watching the Patriot’s Day movie about the Marathon Bombing and there was a scene that was filmed/took place at Fenway Park and in one shot you can see the building and my mom basically pointed at the screen like that Leonardo DiCaprio meme like “oh look that’s where the neighbor works!” lol

Kenmore Square and The Fenway are completely different areas, as yiou know from living there. Queensbury area, Victory Garden, etc., is The Fenway. Kenmore is BU, Bay State Road, etc. Totally different vibe. Totally.

Hi, very informative video. I was doing my research about Fenway and Back bay since I will be going to one of the universities in the Longwood Medical Area. They both look nice, but I live in Chicago and I've never been in Boston, so I wonder how is the safety on those neighborhoods and the public transportation? . Here depend so much on where you live. Thanks

@@jossierenneke1110 Hey there, great question. I cannot give personal opinions on safety, so here is a link you might find helpful. If you scroll down there is a section dedicated to safety around Longwood: www.niche.com/places-to-live/n/longwood-medical-area-boston-ma/

My parents have lived there since the mid 1980s. They never wanted to move.
