  • 22ND APRIL 2017 - 23 Mins - Live at The Black Cap Camden High Street Stage, the 2nd Anniversary Black Cap Vigil was a particularly spirited affair with great musical performances by Alex Green, Jamie Johnson, Rob Irvine, and Simon Happily.
The Pub had been closed by Stephen Cox, owner of Kicking Horse, and the Faucet Inn pub chain, to turn into three high end apartments and a restaurant. 8 failed Planning Applications and three failed sell off attempts later, he now has over 12,000 very determined campaign members against him, and an Asset of Community Value order, and Sui Generis order to deal with. His actions have been heavily criticised by London's Mayor and Night Mayor, MPs, Celebrities, the Press, the people of Camden, and Camden Council.
Three of the most popular songs including, of course, the Black Cap classic Windmill In Old Amsterdam, and at the end an excellent rendition of George Michael classic 'Let;s Go Outside' are included, along with interviews by Black Cappers' Aoife O'Sullivan, Nigel Harris, Joiners Arms Amy and Dan and one other, and Camden local resident Janet.
The sound was a challenge at times, but the videos, songs, and images give the viewer a good idea of a great afternoon Vigil.
    Re-Open The Black Cap!
