LYRICS
Dear, I fear we're facing a problem
You love me no longer, I know
And maybe there is nothing that I can do
To make you do
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother
That I ought to stick to another man
A man that surely deserves me
But I think you do
So I cry and I pray and I beg
Love me love me
Say that you love me
Fool me fool me
Go on and fool me
Love me love me
Pretend that you love me
Leave me leave me
Just say that you need me
So I cry, and I beg for you to
Love me love me
Say that you love me
Leave me leave me
Just say that you need me
I can't care 'bout anything but you
Lately I have desperately pondered,
Spent my nights awake and I wonder
What I could have done in another way
To make you stay
Reason will not lead to solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don't care if you really care
As long as you don't go - Видеоклипы
Holy crap the bassplayer is absolutely slaying!
Sam Wilkes. He's a legend.
So stank. Amazing.
Sam wilkes
Man, he fuckin' that bass up! I love hearing people play that good with four-string bass guitars. To me, it seems like people are all over the five and six-string, but not very many people appreciate the four-string any more.
The pigeon bassist
HOW HAS IT BEEN THIS LONG??!?!?! Ok, so just so you know, starting this week we'll be uploading A SONG AND VIDEO PER WEEK! And later this year we'll be releasing an ALBUM! So this puppy is officially on a ROLL (as the saying goes).

A big hug from a Brazilian fan :D
Yusss
PomplamooseMusic will this be on the album?
Finally! Seriously missed you guys. What the heck have you been doing for 11 months???
Missed you so much!
I love the keyboard player with a passion usually reserved for my cat.
Jack is awesome!
I never thought I'd think a band was adorable, but his energy and her semi lost look definitely are.
I have no passion for your cat.

looks like he is on meth
Jazz chords. Rock beat… almost bossa with a funk bass…. Simply complex and awesome…….. halftime groove finale………. Love it!
The bass line on this is INSANE! Everything about this song is amazing. GREAT JOB!
I don't know. When the bass overplays on the verses I want to turn this off. And the POP POP versus Cardigans single hit and walk from the third, the charm gets lost. And the Rhodes piano makes me think smooth jazz or Grover Washington Jr. or ... Looking Glass - you know, "Brandy, such a fine girl"... . This is a bass player showing off while simultaneously missing pretty important elements of the original. for the sake of showing off chops, takes away from the whole performance. It just doesn't groove. The original bass line makes this: The syncopation with the keyboard and drums on those strong POP POPs, and the bass just hits the first note of that and walks to 3, then 4. It works really really well. And in this one the guitar player is nowhere to be found to hit the verse melody line during that transition, "So I cry, and I beg..." Ack! And then the definite smooth jazz swank down at the end. Stab me dead, just awful. Obviously great musicians, but I think some arrangement decisions were really bad ideas. The original song is literally one of the best songs ever. And a big part of that is that unique shipwrecked nautical keyboard tone, the fuzz guitar counterpart to the vocal melody in transition, the beautiful clean guitar harmonics that sound like a harp. Clearly people love this version, and I am completely WRONG. But the bass line is way off. Pull it back, stop overplaying, lay in the pocket, use that beautiful staggered walk that the Cardigans used, let the keyboard and drums hit it together, it's like the whole band is hitting the melody, and it is painful. It sounds dumb when everybody hits those strong notes together without the walk. And, sorry for being a critical jerk. Most of their tunes and interpretations are pretty darn good. Not saying anything about the chops, but give the bass player a chill pill and play him the original.
I like the bass tone.
@@DarthMaui agreed, and the mix on the bass was a bit hard hitting compared to the rest of the accompaniment.
@@ftwopointeight Seems they have a rotating cast of bassists, and obviously the dude has chops. But the guy that is sitting in on Something About Us and Bigger Better Faster Stronger just hangs in there and it is PERFECT. So good.
@@DarthMaui that would be Nick Campbell. Check out his channel Nick Campbell Destroys. Good stuff.
I love Natalie Dwan's voice.. her voice feels like the early morning breeze... such a mystical beautiful voice...
1:56 listen to that bassplayer, out of this world.
true, is it davie504??
Golden Bison you’re right
THE BAND IN THE BACK IS TOTALLY SLAYING IT. EVERYONE LOOKS SO FREAKING INTO AND ARE PUTTING THEIR MAX EFFORTS INTO THIS WOW. AMAZING. AND THE VOCALS WERE AMAZING.
Every so often I do forget I am subscribed to you wonderful folks, but man as soon as she starts singing and you start playing the joyful shivers go up and down my spine and I spend hours happily drowning in the vortex of videos you've made over the years.
Fucking love you two.
this.
Gotta love the guy playing the piano.. he has that energy that you can't find anywhere else

That bass player is Sam!
I remember he played with Knower in that funky song "Overtime".
He is a beast!
I'm a bass player and immediately went.. "good lord that bass playing!!!" really awesome tone, punch and chops!
Likewise. "Been playing bass for 20 years on and off, and I will never be that good :'("
those muted notes tho
THANKS! I was desperately trying to find that song, to listen that bass, from that guy, Sam. Everything he plays gets 10 extra points!
Erik Klein
- I'm a tuba player and thought the exact same thing! I knew I wasn't the only one.
"Anything but you" I loved this line😍I played this song 100s of time for this line only...😌❤️
I never thought a different artist could enhance one of my favorite songs. You guys nailed it! Bravo
Such a pleasure to listen to three beautiful girl's voices. Just as great as the original group. Love your work.
Good to see Pomp back in action with some new faces! Cheers!

They are jammin in the back room, dude on the keyboard is All IN, AND I love the melody of her voice just a pure sound.
Awesome cover!! I keep repeating it!! The lead vocalist has an old school type of Jazz voice. I love it!
I wonder how they convinced VSauce to play the keys
lmao
you mean Shel Silverstein?
I don't know why y'all can't recognize David Cross when you're looking at him.
Idiot. I laughed and woke up the house.
he's totally in to it lol
Another incredible cover. You guys are amazing.
Mauricio Diaz Shit sandwich
Agreed. This song is one of my guiltiest pleasures, haha.
my lord 2:55 , is there anything else in the world that can give me chills as good as that
Great Job Guys! Thank so much. You all look and sound great, and I really love the way Laura Mace moves and her lovely sultry eyes.
what a great rendition! this is how you do cover- by owning it! im in awe with this one! the arrangements were superb!
Sam Wilkes is all kinds of yes on bass. Great cover, guys! Happy Valentine's Day!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the fact that these clever lyrics were penned by two non-native English speakers. Peter Svensson and Nina Persson of Swedish band The Cardigans wrote it in ’95 when they were both 21.
swedes have been making hits in english for some time now.
Played this a few times recently. Every time that chorus kicks in I started smiling... they're tight as!
Love this version!! All instruments are great! The voices too! The original finale! Wow! Thanks for this song!
Brings to mind the CLASSIC studio rhythm sections/record labels e.g. Muscle Shoals, Motown, American Sound Studios. Please keep doing this, you're really hitting something great here.
@A S And the funk brothers!
Good lord Sam is a groove dispenser
yes!
Just love how Sam and Jack are just grooving away to the beat in the back
Which one is Sam?
Tenaciousdomi the bass player
@Tenaciousdomi Sam is the bass player
This is such a breath of fresh air. Stellar musicianship all around!
You guys not only rock but you never fail to cheer me up. Many many thanks.XX✌️🇬🇧✊
that was so worth the wait!!! Awesome ensemble as usual, but dang....that bass!! Just shreddin' it!!
Sam Wilkes is the only bassist who knows to adjust his tone so that we hear him well on laptop speakers. Legendary.
You guys just really make me want to go back to playing music again! So much passion it's contagious. I love you guys
One thing that always comes across in your performances..is the joy of the music, the love of making and performing it, and that is the difference between 'making music' and making beautiful music ;) Keep making beautiful music please, and keep having fun doing it.
I love 1:15 when she say “so i cry” is sublime!!!!
This was INCREDIBLE!!! LOVED IT!!!
Absolutely awesome piece of work! Really a magic cover!
Nataly is incredible and the chorists are not bad
Thanks a lot for this, guys and keep up!
Wow,tremenda versión,voces,arreglos,y mención aparte el bajo 🙌❤️👏👏❤️😘🇨🇱
I am particularly enamored with the stylish low harmonies by Laura. 1:47
That's assuming I can single out only one for excellence; cos there's an abundance in this little number. Awesome.
Dear, I fear we're facing a problem
You love me no longer, I know
And maybe there is nothing that I can do
To make you do
Mama tells me I shouldn't bother
That I ought to stick to another man

Lately I have desperately pondered
Spent my nights awake and I wonder
What I could have done in another way
To make you stay
Reason will not lead to solution
I will end up lost in confusion
I don't care if you really care

this was soooooooo good!!!!... The bass got me slayed especially!!!...and these ladies have a really melancholic way of bringing out their voices..
all these years and I still get the chills at home much I like Natay's voice.
God I love this so much, Pomplamoose never disappoints!
When you think everyone is high but it's actually the amazing music playing. LOVE IT!
Omg, all in this cover is perfect, voice, bass, guitar, keyboards, drums, interpretation, all. I really love this video
I simply love the song and rendition
Seeing this in my notifications made me so happy, one of the best songs!
So much eargasm for my soft ear, thank you!
Brilliant cover so groovey and the lady singers are beautiful and do a wonderful job and the band are amazing 👏👏
I am so happy to not only hear you guys make more music, but also to (just now!) hear that you guys got married as well. So happy for you guys, you guys have been working so hard for so long, its exciting to see it all work out. I moved to a big city recently, hoping you guys start touring again so I can actually see you live!!
You could mash this up with "Dancing in the Moonlight" really easily! Great sound
When I heard that little hook in the beginning I was wondering why it sounded so familiar. I just couldn't tap into what song it could have been until I saw your comment.
Jack is the CEO of Patreon. Plays with Scary Pockets as well.
2:55 Gawd this is beautiful!
Dear god jesus the drums! Those drums!
Paul Fuoco-Binette and that slap back tho!
I wish they played a whole cover in this style.
Lol when the drumer played that fill it sounded like it was goin into careless whispers
Oh, I cannot say enough good things about your sound. I LOVE it!
And, you guys seriously look like you're having fun performing EVERY song!
Great things will come from and to you! .
Insane what they do. They squeeze the unmistakable essence out of the grapefruit, leaving the whole scene light and airy. With the precision of chamber music.
And Nataly is a human metronome.
What a lovely version! 😊❤️
Ahhh the bassist in that bassist groove, the real deal.
great combo! perfect vocals, perfect instrumentalizations! loving the bass and that ending, just wow!
SAM IS A BEAST!!
I'm permanently in awe of him. mad props.
pianist is having the best time of his time
this bass! man I felt that so hard when he started grooving the hell out of this song!
You have to love the passion shown in this video, just look at the guys playing the instruments. Their flawless skill allows them getting lost in the rhythm .. if watching that doesn't make your day I don't know what would!
The way he plays the bass WOWW !! excelente
I aint know why i'm always smiling whenever i listen to their music
I love the enthusiastic look of excitement on the keyboardists face every time he plays.
don dennis That’s Jack, Nataly’s husband and half the duo that mess up Pomplamoose.
Makes up*
Quel justesse, et quelle interprétation. BRAVO !!!
Awesome vibes from the whole band! You guys do great music and bring out the best of each instrument/singer
WOW! I was mesmerized by the original by the Cardigans, but you guys hit a home run with this one! Love your version as much as the original!
Nataly could probably read an adressbook to me, and I'd stand there like a cardboard box, with my mouth open unable to move. That voice is so smooth, holymoly
Almost everything about this is absolute ear candy, incredible!
It's been almost a year since you released this cover, and I still love it as much today as I did then. My four-year-old was just now listening with me and she was watching intently and singing along with you guys. :)
Mmmmm that bass... nice!
It's 1 AM in Indonesia & this is a perfect song before i go to sleep. Absolutely love it !
I love the voices,it's so harmonic
What an absolute jam.
My eyes got real real big when I heard this cover for the first time. I thought it was so cool, so good. Sometimes, I need to hear a song twice to really like it. Not this time. Not even halfway through the first time I heard it, I knew I had to buy it on ITunes and so I did.
This is my favorite cover I’ve heard! She doesn’t push the vocals like most do. Funk is supposed to be ridden and she does it perfectly. Fucking awesome guys. Subscribed and I’m looking out for y’all.
Love it! You are all super talented and passionate!
Feeling the vibe... Great work guys!! Cheers
I can’t believe it took this long for you guys to do this song! Beautiful 👌🏻 💜
Really like the percussion in this.
Ben Rose KILLS it. And I love that he's smiling the WHOLE time.
que buena energía se siente entre ustedes, sigan así. saludos desde CHILE
You dropped it a bar and raised the tempo and it suits your style and voice perfectly - love it.
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!
Have i told you
About to get a steady dose of Pomplamoose!
I love the guys' enthusiasm in the background! They steal the show! :D
Beautiful voices!
I'm in love with the bassplayer
You all inspire me to strive as a musician myself, beautiful harmonics and everything im sitting here making beautiful harmonies with this whole operation wowie. James from oregon ( also a badass guitarist and pianist dont be afraid to hit me up it wouldn't break my heart) one love
Absolutely beautiful, you have definitely done one of my favourite songs justice!
