Glad to see you back broseph! Those ElAC units are ok. No pitch control is the biggest issue. When there is no ground wire.....the negatives of the RCA R / L are ties together and tied to the metal chassis. All my restorations are rewired to eliminate the ground wire as it is the most effective way to eliminate humm and eliminates a variable in the humm algorithm. Use metal polish on black oxide. Cuts time by 90%. Put it on and let it dwell while you clean the mechanism. Then flush with ISO and contact cleaner.
That's a good tip - Actually, both! I'll have to look at the RCA's next time to see if I can see where they connect to the chassis. It seems it would be easy enough to properly ground them...Never thought about the metal polish...
Up until today, I never have seen nor heard of the brand...Just got educated, UK based co - a competitor (some say) to the Linn. How long have you had yours?
@@1JGP1 I had several well known decks ending with the Pink Triangle. It was easily the best to my ear, neutral, stable and subtle. It let the expressive Koetsu do its thing. I sold all vinyl related stuff quite a while ago now, but I'm just recommending the best I know here. Better choices may have been built in recent years, but I doubt it.

Pink Triangle, powered by a car battery. Choose a Rega arm and find a Koetsu Black.

My ELAC/Miracord 50H says hello.
That table is not even close to being in the same league. It looks nice though.
