hey, i mean, stabbing your doppelganger is one valid way to vent your self-deprecation in a healthy-ish way (on a side-note, I do kinda wish the Retainer/Lord doppelgangers were their 3 Houses versions. pretty much because of dimitri)
This was an informing essay on the jeweled caterpillar, thank you for sharing! I especially love how smoothly you transitioned between your three topics.
I like how you and the house leaders have to face off against your dopplegangers, only for Dimitri to be like "nice". I can already imagine Claude being like "bro u good?"
Usually in music pieces I like one part the best and it ‘makes the whole thing amazing’ for me, but this has multiple great moments. The beginning, the drop after the beginning, the transitions between the three parts, the drop after the build up beginning of part 3, returning back to the Three Houses theme at the end. So good

Fr same, I feel like the final part of Scarlet Blaze at least was sort of a let down, ending in a really non conclusive way, but this map was awesome and did have some real finality behind it.
@@burgermeister8261 nah all of the endings are great and have finality, it’s just that not all parts of the war have to be shown when it’s basically been won
At least in crimson flowers case, the one I’ve played most recently, you don’t even kill Thales or Rhea, they just disappear and are assumed dead and then the game tells you Edelgard goes and beats Dimitri. Where is the satisfaction in that??? I don’t even get to kill the three main adversaries I’ve been going after the ENTIRE game?? All I get is Edelgard going “well they’re probably not alive” and then the game just flat out ends. No reckoning with what happened with Arval after Shez beats them, Sothis flat out is never brought up again past her one appearance. I think the final map of a three way battle was really cool, but the ending certainly didn’t feel at all final or conclusive if the three people Edelgard has staked her entire campaign off of defeating are all left unaccounted for by the end.
@@burgermeister8261 keep in mind, there’s different versions of each ending that might be more or less fleshed out based on a couple major decisions you made. Taking that into consideration, all of the endings meet the top tier writing of Three Houses too
@@DavidHosey1 I very much disagree. The only pivotal change that really happens in the story is Byleth's recruitment or not. Taking into account the idea that recruiting Byleth is canon (as it is what allows this whole shambhala area of the game to happen), the ending of at least scarlet blaze leaves much to be desired. There is no satisfaction in the game finishing before ANY major foe has been actually defeated, whereas in crimson flower Dimitri was defeated, and Rhea as the immaculate one is killed in an awesome cutscene to close out the game. While the slitherers weren't taken care of by that point, I still think the ending was good. In three houses every ending has real finality, real stakes, and very little loose ends relevant to that route remaining at the end. Not so in three hopes in my opinion. Not to say I don't like three hopes, I think its awesome, I just think its endings are a little lackluster.
Reminder: this is from a Warriors / Musou spin-off game that no one really asked for. And yet, Koei Tecmo have given us one of the best tracks you'll find in the FE discography. Rock on. \m/
Honestly I kinda wish Arval's true form was a bit...more. Like imagine a big writhing monster fused with agarthan tec, lost hero's relics (seeing as the reward for the chapter is a lost hero's relic) and the face of arval to show that while yes originally they were human, they lost their humanity long ago and are now nothing but an artificial creation, a fake god. Something like that would've been real cool but I'm happy with what we got anyway
I think it’s funny that the S Rank reward for Escape Zahras in Scarlet Blaze is fucking Aymr. Shit shouldn’t even exist in this timeline, but thanks! I totally get it, Agarthan tech from their man-made god, who else right?
Is golden wildfire the hero's relic was Blutgang It was at that moment I knew I had to make Marianne a dancer and oh god having a high speed class with snowslip...
He just made phantoms both to fight and mess with the lords + Shez. So Byleth is there for the same reason as Hilda, Hubert, and Dedue: just a phantom to mess with the characters.
The most epic final boss sequence that isn't even the final boss
I listened to this before doing this and I had no idea what this comment ment BUT HOLY CRAP I CANNOT AGREE MORE
This makes me literally every final boss in the game look like a fucking joke
The whole segment felt like something out of a Kingdom Hearts bonus boss.
This battle had my favorite suicide joke.

By making the entire chapter just 1 battle that is continuous action. No side objectives, no strongholds to capture, just dudes to kill.
