i was literally going to comment filipino culture regarding the singing as soon as yall said it. as a filipino american , ever since i can remember my family was surrounded with music. my parents are always playing the guitars w limited knowledge bc they couldn’t afford music lessons when they grew up and just singing out on the porch allll the time. definitely serves to bring friends and family together in a form of self-expression and just pure fun no matter if you “sound bad” or not ! ik it’s easier for me to say but something to help w maybe that reluctancy to sing, just try humming to songs at first and even that can be so relaxing in a way…or just get drunk w a bunch good people and kareoke the night away ahahah, love yall 🇵🇭❤️❤️
also no matter how you sound when you sing if you’re with good people there should be no room for judgement as they can see that you’re all just there to have fun :)
