You did a great job explaining yourself. I really like your set up very nice. The light in receptacle, that was thinking ahead for dark mornings. Even radiator cover was cool to see.
We had block heaters on all of our tractors when I was growing up on our dairy farm. They meant the difference between spending 2 hrs to get a 20min job done or the thing starting right up and getting out of the cold. Only one tractor had a cab and it wasn't used everyday like the barnyard and feeder tractors.
I remember doing some creative things to create warmth under our Bobcat to get it started on those real cold days. No block heater and it had to sit outside.
Can you close the hood when you have the block heater plugged in? Really wondering if there’s a hole or somewhere I should stick the extension cord to? Thanks
@@michaeljordan6090 Yeah, I usually plug it in when the engine is still warm, and then it’s just maintaining. Didn’t notice a big difference in electric bill.
When I ordered my skid loader and excavator, a block heater was my most important option. You are correct about it making a big difference!!

Thank you! It was helpful again today, -9 outside.

@BacktoBob1 "creative" like a pan of coals under the oil pan? I wouldn't know anything about that.
@@bioniclife Me neither 😂🙈
Been years since I had a block heater, I wish my trucks/car had them
I have a 1981 Rabbit Diesel and when it gets below 25 if I dont plug it in it straight up wont start

@@fionamacdonald4852 Yes, it closes. This way I can still remote start it.
Do you leave it plugged in all night
