- Got our hands on the first new BlackTip Scooter on island and had to make a video of it. Super excited about this new DPV. I’m all about maximizing each dive…. and plus it’s just awesome. And at it’s price range, it’s way more affordable. This isn’t a sponsored video. We are just fans of great dive gear. Cannot wait to explore more areas with this thing.

Wow- really great that you guys compared these two awesome dpv's side by side underwater- thanks!
A note that was made by a distributor friend is you can put a couple pounds of lead shot in the nose when using the lower Ah batteries. The weighting is designed with the bigger heavier 12Ah batteries in mind. Easy fix.
with 2 12ah battery. the dpv is actually negative buoyant. but it's still nose up.
@@CoreQ negative buoyant? Is that normal for scooters?
@@kasperk679 depends on preference right. I like it to be little bit positive because I can hang it at the back of the strap so I can harvest
I have that exact same wetsuit your wearing I like mine a lot and shows because it’s covered in abrasion wear and scratches from many dives I bought it originally for a sailing and snorkeling trip down in key west Florida with my Boy Scout troop almost two years ago great suit though
I have a Yamaha 280 that i hate. A dive shop in Monterey recommended these. great video thanks.
That looks like it would be fun as hell!
we dive off of a revenge 22w/t too. Great boat.
So sick!
Where are y'all?
Hi there.. I was wondering... what's the compas "at 6:44", I really want to know hope to hear from you soon.
You got a name or a link?
Very informative. Thanks! 🙂
What do you think about this scooter with you are using a twin tank?!
Victor Ferreira we will have to try. Bigger batteries are on the way. My piranha obviously works fine with them.
@@WorldMaverik These scooters are amazing, especially for the price point. However, they do not replace the P1, etc. for technical diving. The P1-3 cannot be beat for tech use, especially in caves or at depth. We dive mostly P2's and 3's for that reason, or 2 P1's for redundancy (in caves,) and the P's have features that really make it the perfect technical scooter, especially with the new smart slice and the option to change out the gear ratios, etc., thus, the price difference. And yes, the newer model P's use belt drives, which make them as quiet as the Blacktips. But if you are diving recreational, or even tech lite - with say a single steel 100, or recreational sm - this scooter is all you'll need. Or you can buy 2 Blacktips and tow the 2nd one for more range and redundancy in solo diving, which would fall between a P1 and P2 range wise - if you use 12Ah batteries. As for the nose lightness, you can just add lead shot out a soft weight pouch or your v weight to the nose if not using the 12Ah batteries.
rabukan 58 DiveX is releasing a new body to correct for the BT nose up issue. Looking forward to seeing it. Will help with towing and just general use. Love the innovation they have over there. The firmware update making the BT motor quieter blew my mind.
defintley slower. but if you are in twin tanks ... you will need a scooter anyway.
Good afternoon, my name is Mikhail, I am diving and making an underwater tug for myself. You have a video on your channel about testing the DiveX BlackTip scooter. I would like to know some technical parameters, if possible, the characteristics of the motor voltage and power, the motor works in water or is installed in the case, the voltage and volume of the battery, what is the speed of movement. thanks
I'm making one as well, how does yours going?
@@JashTheLandlord hi, things are going on. What is the voltage and power of the motor on the scooter?
@@Буксировщикдайвераизготовление 48V 22.5Ah,motor max output power is 2000 Watts. The force is about 30 kilos
@@JashTheLandlord Thanks
What is the motor model? If you can take a photo of the motor?
How does she compare to the Sea Doo for power?
Great video!
It’s not quiet both are obnoxious send your scooter to explorer technology to make it completely silent
I have a black tip, can't wait till dive xtras comes out with a tech tube...neutral horizontal buoyancy...
Grant C same here! Looking forward to it!!!
@@WorldMaverik Have you done the firmware update yet? If not you should, amazing difference.
Grant C. I just did this last weekend! Mind blowing! I would love to know how a firmware upgrade can do that. Magic.
What island are you guys on!?
ciara vickers we are on Kwajalein RMI
why do those scooters cost more than my car?
New technology and price of badassery
Wow, that place looks dead dead. What island is this?
Coral head inside the lagoon. Not really great water flow in this area unfortunately. West winds and warmer than usual waters years ago destroyed a bunch of the reef. Slowly recovering.
Is it quiter than yamaha ?
Loud Did not know these were that loud
Wow, everything seams dead down there, :’(
Looks super slow
Thats really annoying music
Nice value horrible customer service. Here is their response over a $7.50 handle that broke during assembly.
Note they never asked for photos.
Hello John,
The part was already ordered and per you email you said, the handle broke as I took twisted off the nose. In most cases if the handle was broken upon opening of the box that would be stated instead of saying it happened as you took off the nose.
I'm sorry you are so upset over this small part to feel so compelled to be " pissed off" but warranty doesn't cover customer broken parts only out of the box and I don't know how I would have a chance to inspect it when no photos were sent of the broken parts only of your order with another company so it did not ship direct from us and the email in no way stated I opened by box and it was broken.
We will ship out your parts per your order.
Thank you and have a great day.
