Great project. Is any plant being constructed to produce the hydrogen? and/or how does that work? For the power source, anywhere down the line to hide a solar farm? Or shed roof? Best of luck
*In the UK, hydrogen costs about £12 per kg, which means a 62-mile (100km) journey in the Hyundai NEXO, for example (which does 0.95kg/100km), will cost around £11.40 - Saving the Planet or reckless misguided and ill conceived **_PROJECT_** !*
Good luck....so good to see young people getting involved in such a necessary evolution for the heritage sector.
Well done, best of luck with the project.👍👍
Very interesting project. I look forward to seeing the reborn hybrid hydrogen electric loco working.
Don't even consider sustainability for the steam locos.
Wood firing 😂
Interesting. How are they planning to source and store the Hydrogen? Is there going to be a small storage tank in the yard somewhere?
I’ll be interested to hear what a hydrogen shunter sounds like

with tons of old locomotives and trains about makes sense to test out new technologies on them, good work SVR 👍
good luck, where is the original 6rkt engine out of this loco ?
Hopefully refitted when they find what a total faf it is to operate on hydrogen.
Who is funding that?
Hopefully not their £1.5m survival fund….

Seems a terrible waste of an 08 for no gain, more of a hindrance to operate.
This project has totally destroyed my sympathy for the SVR.
*So that's why you in April 2023 you are appealing for £1½ MILLION to get you in the black - How much has been spent on this WOKE Project ?*
