William Crighton (solo) - Wollongong - January 12 2024

Both times I’ve seen William Crighton before he’s had a band with him. They were great shows. I wasn’t too sure how his songs would translate to a solo performance but I was very pleasantly surprised. Without all the other instruments his voice really came to the fore, and I’d never fully appreciated before what a wonderful voice he has. This was most evident during a request to sing ‘Priest’, the majority of the first half sang as an a cappella. Truly moving. Unfortunately, I didn’t record it. I did video these three songs:

This last song is new. And what a terrific one. We were treated to two new songs during the set. Hopefully, this is a good indication that a new album isn’t too far off.
