I'm not from North East side but i'm kind of happy that others have started considering about North East Indians. I mean, it's also a big part of INDIA but people usually ignore it.
Exactly when people talk about India it's usually North India no matter what.
People actually forget that there are 2 more parts SOUTH & NORTH-EAST.
NORTH-EAST is the most beautiful region in India (after Kashmir) covered in thick forest surrounded by mountains and valleys. Most of India's beautiful looking place are in NORTH-EAST
@@technicalgadgets6302 I do agree with that. Almost every other part of India consists of it's own beauty. I truly like the nature of North East and the thing with casual lehangas and cultural rituals (not the oppressing ones) from the South.
As a kid unknowingly, i must also hv judged many people as Chinese and got excited. But thanks to the social media i learned many things. Now they aren't any outsider to me but my own people. I still get excited when i see ppl from other region, but i try to not show them, so that they won't feel awkward/embarrassed in their own country❤
Some people of India don't know much about North East India and sometimes even ask them questions like are you Chinese or Nepali before asking are you from North East.
But for me North East are always Indians.

@@technicalgadgets6302 People talks about how Northeast Indians look more similar to Southeast Asians, however that's not always the case if u ask me. There are Southeast Asians who look like East Asians and vice versa. For instance, some of the Thais and Vietnamese don't look that different from East Asians, and some of the Japanese and Chinese can be mistaken as Southeast Asians. And not all Northeast Indians look like Southeast Asians. There are Tibetans in Northeast India too.

Lots of love to NE Indians as my fellow Indians of India and I visited Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Nagaland and loved them all! I have made lifelong friends from Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim and love their cutest looks/features and culture. I once loved meeting a Thai lady chef at Thai restaurant in Gauhati, Assam where the hostess was Indian from Mizoram and they looked totally alike except for Mizo girl being Indian origin like me as I Oriya while we look different, though Thai girl looking like her lol.

So I'm from churachandpur, a district in Manipur. We have limited research on Northeast but it have information that northeasterns are from Mongol. So, Korean and Chinese and Japanese and Even Thai we're kind of related?? I think. Maybe that's why we northeasterns have similar features with Thai, japanese, Korean or Chinese. If I have missed out anything, please tell me

Its complicated. There's a genetic project on asian groups and it showed that sikkimese, arunachali(nyishi), and nagas are almost pure east asian with 5-6% indian genes. so they're identical to tibetans basically. manipuris, bodos, garos and mizos are more similar to burmese with around 80-85% east asian and 15-20% indian. burmese have 20% indian genes too. khasis of meghalaya are 60% east asian and 40% indian. assamese are very mixed. they have equal amounts of east asian and indian genes.

The ahoms from Assam were actually inhabitants of thai, Burma. Their genes matches with some thai people.
but none of them are assamese in the video. they're mostly naga, arunachali, sikkimese, mizo, manipuri, etc. they're more pure sino tibetan related to tibetans/chinese, burmese, etc. Tai ahoms were originally tai, but most assamese are very mixed with indo aryan/dravidian genes today. most assamese look mixed today. same with khasis of meghalaya.
