Getting Started with AI for Medical Imaging: Exploring CXR Foundation from Google Health AI

- Artificial intelligence (AI) for computer vision is growing in both popularity and usefulness on a daily basis. In fields like healthcare, AI for medical imaging is poised to save millions of lives over the next few decades. But it’s still hard to know how to get started with it, particularly if you don’t have access to large computational resources or datasets. Recently, Google Health AI published research and released a tool called CXR Foundation that enable you to get started with creating machine learning models for disease detection on chest x-rays (CXRs), of which there are over a billion taken every year. With CXR Foundation, we showed that it’s possible to train models that can diagnose tuberculosis or predict the severity of COVID-19 using only a few hundred images. How does CXR Foundation work? In this tech talk, we’ll explain the research we did to create the model and walk through code to train your own!

I was wondering if they had AI for medical imaging. Thank you.
Very interesting and thought provoking.
This is something I would love to get into being a licensed imaging technologist.
What a nice view
amazing👍
Is this lecture a part of the latest CS50x version?
Very nice. Thanks 👍
Amazing!
Nice

12:00 he starts about the class
I did have an idea for people who are autistic: an ai to help identify emotions in others with the dual purpose of monitoring body functions, heartbeat, eye movement, maybe even body language to help the autistic person identify what is going on with themselves. This would help them as they attempt to go to therapy which is designed for neurotypicals. Maybe even reduce the executive function burnout of having to pay extra attention to understand the people around them. Google glasses would be an amazing tool for this type of app. Maybe even alert an AI therapist bot in periods of heighten distressed bio signals to reduce the stress of connection with another person with the option of contacting a human therapist should the user consent.
I am not connected with the right people to make this happen nor do I have the education necessary to make an app l, so feel free to make it happen if you can!😊
Some of you may be wanting to learn C to get a job fast. So I met with a senior C and Unix programmer. I asked him why he's learning python. He said bc it'll help him get a job fast.
Then Puppet50 realized it's not just a doomed science. Maybe the whole industry is doomed. Anyway...
I want to buy book for
Ai with python so which one should I buy as a beginner?
Don't buy any books just learn to code

Is it day 1
This whole video is backwards. First he explains the abstract. Then he gives a very complex example and glosses over any explanation of what is going on. YOU SHOULD Demonstrate a simple example, go back explain the work flow then explain the more abstract things. I don't need to know how an engine works to be able to turn the key and start it. I don't need to know how the throttle works to accelerate. Nice guy, im sure hes good at what he does, and I am sure what he does isn't educating people.
Do you have a twitter handle @Andrew. Would love to connect with you
amazing👍
