The "Chi-Chi Bud" background music in the into. is brilliant. I remember 1965 when we had the only TV in the neighborhood, and all the kids would come to our house after school and wait for the "SIGN ON" while sitting on the floor. Great memories.
I Think my cousin by my mother side worked at JBC for a hot minute. DON COOPER left JBC and went to join RJR in the early 70s. DJ Don Cooper in the Morning. We used to live at 10 Studley park Rd, Jones Town. Not too far from Mazzuca electronic store and the blood bank on Slipe Road or Slipe Penn rd.
Dennis Hall contributed to the JBC through news and Schools Challenge Quiz. Unfortunately he passed some years ago and there is no materials that shows his presence. The “behind the scenes” folks made their contributions as much as anyone else. These were my coworkers who contributed to making me who I am today and most importantly to the heritage and culture of Jamaica.
@@lukkee2006 I am not saying behind the scenes people don't need to get credit. Without them there would be no JBC. All I am saying is no mention of Dennis Hall who we see on the news. He was the oldest news anchor at the time. When you see an old man doing the news, you think he was there forever. Ask anyone if they remember JBC and they will mention Dennis Hall.

I didn't like that station, JBC for neither love or money.. very sloppy station and that is why they did not last.. RJR was and is the station...Long live RJR..
Yeah but I think it's should still exist even under new management of RJR who buy out JBC they should of have a JBC division radio and television station still as a Jamaican trademark and resources it's part of Jamaican history 😢😢
