As a grown ass adault I was Recently stripped of my gold medals for this year just because the head coach caught me packing my bowl and wrapping it with plastic wrap. And even though I had was a 1/2 gram on me they were all That is against Pennsylvania state law without a permit and you either give that to me and I call your parents or you keep it and we goto the police. They won't let us have as much as one drink from the bar. Instead we gotta spike our power aid like 16 year olds. I nearly reason why they keep kids and adults together it's make this stupid ass rule easier to enforce. The only reason like coaches are allowed to drink is out of fear that they will share with or buy for Adult athletes who they think are cool.
As a former Special Olympics athlete now a Peer Mentor and Coach, its not true at all. Special Olympics is for anyone with a developmental or intellectual disability age 8 or older. However, some sports have higher minimum age requirements, such as Powerlifting where an athlete has to be age 14 or older.
In exactly which way is it ridiculous to give handicapped people great opportunities to compete in olympic sports? I don't think you have any good answer to that at all - I think you are completely clueless there - so I will not be the least bit surprised if you don't answer that question.
