    When adjusting the clutch, it's important to consider the type of terrain the child will be riding on, whether it's soft sand or hard ground. I have mine set to 11 clicks (2023 TC50), but in Hungary, there are many deep sandy race tracks.

    So that means: The softer the adjustment is, the earlier it slips (less power) and more heat occours? Just got a used SX50 for my son which is on 6, but thats still way too aggressive, i'd like to start at 4.

    • @FHCOutdoors
      @FHCOutdoors 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, the lower the setting, the less power that is transferred. But yes that also means more heat and damage. As you move up, the power kicks in with less throttle, less heat. But I change the trans oil every ride!

    Hello, greetings from Nayarit Mexico, sorry, can you help me, my son's 2013 KTM50 runs a little slowly during his training and gets very hot, it leaks antifreeze through the radiator cap, once it's rolling hard, it doesn't, but it stops for a while. little and that happens, it could be a problem 😵‍💫

    Super helpful I appreciate the post I was wondering does either adjustment why do you take it up or whether you take it down make it harder at all on the clutch or make the clutch burn up any faster?

    Great video thanks. For a beginner what would you recommend? What is the rpm range of the powerband?

    • @g2motocross330
      @g2motocross330  3 года назад

      Personally, I just kept it at stock settings and it still continues to be good for my 8 year old. He'll be getting a 65 soon, but we've had no issues with the bike. We change the transmission oil every 2 hours (it may seem overkill, but you have to keep the fluid fresh).

    Is turning the clicks all the way to the left to 1 bad for the bike?

    • @g2motocross330
      @g2motocross330  6 месяцев назад

      It's not "bad" but it does create more disc slippage, lower power, but creates more heat. I change the gear oil on this bike every ride. Just had it rebuilt and mechanic said they still looked okay! Just a recommendation.

    Is ot safe on the clutches to go down to say 5 clicks? My son is just getting into riding and im afraid to have it at 9 clicks.

    • @g2motocross330

      Yes it's "safe". But the more slip, the more heat. I have changed the gear oil every ride. Just had it rebuilt and my mechanic said they still looked okay. Just a recommendation!

      @@g2motocross330sorry I'm no mechanic but basically what your doing here is adjusting the bikes power/ speed on the automatic clutch so the bike or more or less aggressive when the throttle is pulled ? Are u fully changing the oil in the bike after every 2hrs riding why is that ? Sounds costly

    • @g2motocross330
      @g2motocross330  3 года назад

      There could be many reasons, first would be to check out your clutch plates as it sounds like you may have an issue not involving the "clicks" and setup.

      5 or 6 clicks is a good starting point. Go up as your rider gets used to the bike!

    I’m a newbe hear but if I went to 9 then 14 should the back wheel still feel like it’s dragging when it is turned off and it’s hard to start unless it’s on a stand brought it 2nd hand
    Does that mean clutch is stuffed
    Thanks Dean

    • @g2motocross330

      They always feel like they’re dragging cold. You should start the bike on a stand (I use a milk crate) and let the bike start to allow the wheel to spin. It will spin a little always because of the internal clutch.
