My favorite part of novelist songs @1:20 when the beat drops and then a mellow sound begins, then it goes into singing. Very good balance between the instrumental and lyrics. The sounds of the instruments are very good these guys can play.
I have never been disappointed by a Novelists song. All of their songs speak to me, their music is like drugs. You want more and more, you can never get enough.
Really great go to track after this. My easiest difference is based on a 1 hour clock. I love periphery and that song is equally epic. The difference are the components that get you to the finished product. I love how Matteo punches the even numbers and finishes like 59 on 59. Let's call 59 his guttural screams. Periphery has a more even style, also peripheries song is over 6 minutes. They had 2 more minutes to get us through the song. But the two songs play so well together like they belong together.
The overall vibe is but i would argue that Flo has a much stronger emphasis on playing chords and groups, Mark goes more for individual notes. they sound similarish but each guitarist has their own flair on how to create an arpeggiation riff.

Im all for that but personally I usually dig the more basic groovy stuff and ive never been a huge fan of a ton of leads. So for me the 2 new singles are not my favorite but its all good! There still dope songs and i still haven't had that proper time to let them soak in im sure they will grow on me.

The chord progression goes lower or something. I’ve been trying to figure this out for years. Same sort of sound is in the single ‘Drift’ by ERRA.

Sounds like Novelists... Dope. Litterally one of the only bands that found a sound and stuck to it while being refreshing at the same time.
