Recipe of THE ULTIMATE BLACK/FRUIT CAKE
1 White Box cake mix
5 eggs
1 Teaspoon of Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
1/2 of a whole lemon
1 Teaspoon of lemon zest
2.5 cups of Blended fruit
Browning
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1 small tub of butter

For 2 cake mix should I double
Lovely presentation I try this recipe and I feel my way around the kitchen and I did mine.
4 sticks of butter
2 cups brown sugar
12 eggs
teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
teaspoon cinnamon,allspice,nutmeg,cloves
Tablespoons vanilla extract,almond,raspberry flavoring
Lemon, lime zest and juice
6 boxes of white cake mixes sifted
8 cups of blended fruits
Cup of white rum- cup red wine
1 bottle browning
I followed your way just added double to make a big batches for Thanksgivings and Christmas gifts

I just wanted to say this is the best tasty easy recipe I've ever made I never tasted black cake before but always wanted to please my husband in cooking his favorite Caribbean food I must say this is more flavorful moist cake batter recipe and I appreciated your videos my jamaican family and friends says you can't tell this from the Real McCoy it's the real thing Wicked cake so love I'm making my big batches cakes this Christmas for gifts big up yourself love

I made the cake and at first I did not like it because it was too spongy and not dense enough for me. Then I decided to just keep putting rum and wine on it and it came out a lot better. Thinking I will try it with 3 cups of fruit and maybe it will do the trick for me, but I LOVE AND APPRECIATE THIS VIDEO! THANKS ADRIANA!

How much butter did you use?? The recipe says 1 tub and she said 1/2 stick in video. What is equal to a tub?
Tamara Wilson Hi Tamara, put one tub of butter. Please note, use the smaller tub of butter. In the grocery store there are two sizes of tubs of butter, a bigger size and smaller size - use the smaller size. Hope this helps.

What is the ounce weight of the tub of butter? Many of the comments are related to the weight of the butter. Saying "small tub" is difficult to interpret due to availability of butter in different containers in different regions. Also what length of time did you bake it for?
What size pan did you use?
Suggestion; instead of using white cake mix ,why don’t you use a spice cake mix🤔?

One question how long did you baked the cake for is it the normal mins on the box or longer
It depends on how much you are making! It could take about 1 hour
