    Esthetics are always welcome in my book. I have some high quality brushes such as the H&S Infinity, Creos PS-771, and the Paasche Raptor, that not only perform very well, but also look like pieces of jewelry. I love a beautiful brush. Just got the Mobius .2. Can't wait to unbox later today.

    The box sleeve of the other series offerings are slicker. The cellophane looks a bit cheap.

      Thank you for your comment!!
      I agree a bit that the Swallowtail box design, for example, does look slicker.

    Good review on the Mobius. A small pointer on the video production. Try and keep you volume at an even level. I found I had to turn down the volume during the music portion as it was quite a bit louder than your voice over. Otherwise this is a great vid with good content.

    So, I bit the bullet and bought all three of the new Gaahleri airbrushes (The Rex Swallowtail and the Mobius 0.2 & 0.3). Total price = $221.97 using rewards points (averaging $73.99 each) with free UPS Expedited shipping. So, hopefully a package will show up Saturday! This will round off my current Gaahleri roster which includes the GHAD-39, GHAD-68, and GHAC-98D. The only one I am missing now is the GHPM-65, which though an older design, I still want to add to the collection. I am really excited about the Mobius GHPM 0.2! Thanks Gaahleri!

    The ergonomics for this airbrush look great. What about control, did you feel any slugging or drag when spraying?

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  11 месяцев назад

      None whatsoever. It was smooth, with total control.

      I actually got that one from when Gaahleri was doing the limited Barbatos rex one. But i think SprayGunner has airbrush holders in stock.

      Hopefully. I haven't gotten it. Probably due to holiday delays.

    The reason I haven't bought one yet is because they don't use PTFE packing.

  • @landwand

    It seems as though you didn't test the airbrush's detail capabilities in fine detailing such as lines, dots, spray pattern and consistency.
    It looks to be a fine product, though. I can only wonder about how it stacks up to a Creos.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for your comment!!!.
      Not for this one. I did not feel like it was necessary. However. Compared to the Creos, I can definitely set them side by side as far as performance.
      I do prefer that my creos has the valve to regulate the psi for finer details.
      I would have liked for Gaahleri to send me the 0.2mm. That one had the valve, and i would have then compared it to my creos which is .2

    • @landwand
      @landwand 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@animousworks - thanks for the response. It's good to know where this one stands. Agreed about the MAC valve; if they released one that came with the 0.3 airbrush, that would have been a real win. I guess you can buy the 0.2 mm one and swap out the nozzle and needles in the future (or buy them on the side?)
      Even the cheap $20 airbrushes can lay down colour smoothly (My Paasche single action H can do that and it's design is about 50 years old!) but it's really the upper end testing that would set this apart from the wide sprayers.
      Glad to see another review of this online, all said.

    • @animalyze7120
      @animalyze7120 11 месяцев назад +2

      Details would be better suited to the 2mm version, 3mm is a general use nozzle/needle setup. While it can give you small detail ability the 3's are superb in the midrange.

  • @olo398
    @olo398 11 месяцев назад

    98 .38 or mobious .3, you can only pick one, which would you recommend (mainly gunpla-hg/mg-1/20 ma. k) as a main/go to?

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hmmmm. Although the 98 has more in the package. I would probably still go with the mobius .3
      Having that mac nozzle feature really puts it ahead of the game. I got excited for how well it was spraying and continued to use it on the current build series lol.
      Mobius 0.3 is my answer. And on top of that, it is currently on sale. Which is a HUGE plus.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  11 месяцев назад

      The .3 mobius will be good for all scales.

    • @olo398
      @olo398 11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your considerstion. I already have the 98, rex swallowtail, and just bought .2 mobious.
      So trying to pare down my ab collection to be better for my specific use cases. 98 will be primer base coat...swallowtail .5 will be for clears and main for bigger projects (head busts for ex) and .2 will be that detail brush/chrome brush.
      It will replace my ps289/2 eclipses...specific good tools for my needs is where gaahleri really shines. Jus sucks i sorta feel like a beta tester cuz the ace, doesnt seem so ace like anymore.....and what about supreme lvls of perf/qual/price? Makes me excited for what they will have, whete do u go? Hmm.

    • @animousworks
      @animousworks  11 месяцев назад

      @olo398 i agree to some extent. The swallowtail is still a great airbrush. In my setup i have the rex .5mm with the fan cap for primers and clears. I use my 98 with the .3, the studio g with the .7, 68 with .3, and now this one with .3. I want the .2 for smaller details.

      So, I haven’t figured out yet how I will set up any of these brushes… though I do have the Rex Swallowtail and one each of the Mobius brushes coming. I am really anxious to see how well the Mobius 0.2 performs with various paint types and brands.
