I did a raid once for the elite diary and got 50+ deaths. It actually taught me so much about the different rooms and got me a torn prayer scroll 😎
Ive been wanting to learn this for the past few weeks. When you said you were going to work on more guide style videos, i prayed, and it came true!
Got my first two deathless Olms following yours and Soups guides on 4:1. Thanks for going into as much detail as you did, a lot of your recorded gameplay and commentary helped me solidify my understanding the mechanics at Olm, and steadily improve into my first completions.
Theres still so much to learn but will keep improving, thanks for being a part of the community Kip :)
Thanks so much for making this vid :D I've really fancied doing more solo raids lately, but it's been over 2 years since I properly played osrs and I'd forgot most of it! I'm definitely feeling a lot more confident now!
bless mudkip for always being able to explain things in the way I can understand
Thank you for explaining it in a way that someone that isnt already a raider would understand. I've looked at plenty of guides and most of them assume that you already know most of what's going on
I wasn't sure if the vid would come off that way, so glad to hear it did!
honestly been learning chamber solos the past two weeks and this video is a wealth of knowledge. Keep making videos like this mudkip
Good luck with the chambers!
ty for the guide I will do nothing with this information. but I like watching your videos
You never know maybe some day😉
I was gonna request a Raids guide from you a couple days ago. You're awesome :)
thank you so much for this guide mudkip, you are the best ❤
Over a thousand kc and this week just got my first 10 solos deathless, I was always so intimidated doing a solo because of how long it’s takes to get to olm if you fail. But after some frustration and these guides I’m getting it down and using less and less brews it’s awesome!
Over the years I've done only about 200 team raids. Just tried my first solo 'blind' as I've only ever seen streamers do it. Had a few deaths at olm and realized it wasn't as easy as it looked. This was exactly what i needed. Thank you so much 🙏
I haven't even watched this yet but I'm so glad you've uploaded this. You're very good at explaining things at a baseline level compared to a lot of other content creators. Looking forward to this
maybe i missed it on other guides, but the cue on when to attack for the timing is amazing thank you
Just ran into you at Birdhouses while watching this lol, small world! Tyty for all the breakdown on getting back in cycle!
loving the Mudkip guides!
Excellent guide sir. Showing the duo 1:0 with Loki just reinforces how crucial it is as a starting point. Some people try to skip over it as its "too basic"
Thank you, that's high praise coming from you!
@@WildMudkip oh stop :3
I’ve definitely put off learning olm so I’ll be checking this out after work, ty ❤
Hope it helps!
That ending clip had me cracking up! Gotta love chambers sometime...
Nice loki cameo. Thank you for this mudkip I "know olm" but I don't KNOW how to olm especially solo and its a very daunting boss in comparison to like Wardens. Might start to give some solos a try now.
very happy to see this video notification today! thank you!
Ay hope it helps!
holy shit you just made my day with the prayer points run energy thing
I'm even more scared than before when i knew nothing 🙂
RUclipsrs make it way more detailed and complicated than it needs to be. Mistakes will be made and damage taken.
thanks for the guide!
after 529 experts (lots of 425/450s) and 63 normals at TOA without a shadow or even a masori body, i decided to give up and learn cox. this vid came just in time, thanks ‘Kip :)
I love you for doing this
You can also bring a watering can if u want to use thralls amd still have a safety net for the flame wall. This is something i learned recently and it blew my mind
Gricoller's can works too. Wouldn't recommend using thralls when learning though since you're sacrificing 2 inv spots for the book and watering can. Usually when learning people bring minimal switches so generally 2 extra switches would be more dps than the .625 you get from thralls. Plus not having to use as many restores to continually summon them throughout the raid. And with everything going on especially at olm, having to summon thralls throughout the fight just adds 1 more thing to worry about
Super helpful video! Thanks man. Olm seems so esoteric next to any toa fight.
No problem, glad it helped!
very helpful, thank you
The best 4:1 setup explanation right there. I finally figured out how to do it thanks to you!
Really glad to hear it helped!!
I know how to 4:1 but I'm still here to support my favorite youtuber!!
Ty ima learn cox solo tomorro so this is gonna come in handy
damn first view, 13s after post. i always love your guides, keep up the good work you help me a lot, and you are the reason i can solo most stuff now with your tips in videos.
actually unironically the best solo olm guide out there
I remember truying to learn it half a year ago and I only wish I had this guide
I don't play this version, or understand what you're saying, but you get a full video watch for algorithm and support sir!
Ty for watching!
I'm not ready to learn chambers yet but here's some engagement ❤
can’t wait to use this guide when i’m soloing olm in 2 years!
thank you mudkip!!!!!
30 kc in, the information @16:50 is completely new to me and I really appreciate you passing that on. Jumping straight into the 4:1 whilst getting 2 hammer specs in will be super nice and should save me a fair bit of supplies. Thanks boss!
Really glad that helped!! GL on the drops!
This is great. Could do you a mage 3:0 guide too?
nice
Could you please make some more alt account guides? i loved that series and followed birdhouse/smithing one was amazing
NICE :)
Thanks cementstix!
when you 0-0 and olm moves to middle, you can stay in cycle but it will just be one 4:2 and instantly go back to the 4:1. You dont gotta do that fancy stuff to skip that one auto
Still working slowly on my way to respectable combat stats (only 80atk/82str/70def/77range/79mage) but once I get them up, I hear entry ToA is the best raid to start learning both raids and solos right?
Yeah because of the toa invocation system you can slowly add more difficulty and adjust it an endless amount of ways. Versus cox/tob which only have 2-3 preset modes
Serious question should I just deiron if I don’t plan on doing raids
im just about to start solo raids on my GIM, this is perfectly timed.
Good luck!
lmao just saw you as i clicked this vid at the craftguild
If you have 2 hammers for the final phase you can double hammer run mid till olms head turns to the middle and 4:1 is insta set up
I'm aware, that's what every guide on youtube shows so I think it's good to have an option that doesn't require you to tank an auto at the start. Although I shouldn't have even brought it up in the first place because this guide is meant to be a lot more basic than that and people looking up how to do 4:1 for the first time might get confused and overloaded with extra information
As a learner should I just bring like 3 Stams? I wasted a ton of time in 1:0 trying to get back into 4:1 and ended up gassing. Walking olm just becomes a brew chugging contest.
Yeah not bad a idea to do a couple olms doing 1:0 melee the whole time with some extra stam. Theoretically if you do 1:0 melee and 3:0 mage right, the only damage you would take the whole fight is at the final head phase
You should do a video teaching spookdog how to do solo olm. Go through the entire process with someone who actually hasn't done it, and get live feedback to what explanations are good, and what are assuming underlying knowledge
Believe me I'd love to. Spookdog's the one you'd have to convince, not me
@@WildMudkip I'm guessing you might have slightly more sway with her than I do
Literally just did my first ever attempt at solo.....went terribly. Wish I would of seen this released before going in
P3 can just double hammer the melee hand then run middle and 4:1 is set
If you are iron with no dhl but a fang and want to send solos for the first time, would 1:0 be a good strat to use? I tried 3:1 solo like you would with a scythe and although I got the kc, I died 3 times and it was almost all because of my confusion with setting up 3:1.
Yeah that would be good to practice 1:0 which will help you with learning how to time olms head movement. You wouldn't want to grind out raids long term doing 1:0, but it's a valuable skill to master. You'll just need more stamina if you're doing it for the whole fight
@@WildMudkip Thank you!
Ayyy first!
Ok man I got it ok... I will keep doing ToA
only ARTICULATE olm guide out there, bless mudkip. I swear every other guide is made by someone speaking english as a fourth language literally not forming sentences and speeding through everything lmao, no offense to them.
best guide
i never done cox so ill wait for them to be get entry level
You’re right. I have to use we do raids. That means i have to voice chat with actual people…😩
You might even make some friends :D
it feels really bad when you're learning, and you're not attacking on the correct tick so you're just getting every attack in the universe even though you're running the 4:1 pattern. i did get a 1 death olm eventually but im gonna try out your method to cross the center line to make sure im attacking on the correct tick
thanks, deathless soon
We do raids is super toxic.. people will report you for making a mistake or having a fury in stead of an anguish. It’s crazy
Mudkip I love your content so much but my last year at uni is going to be financially difficult so I relinquish my super sub. 😢😢😢
Just watching the vids is all I could ever ask for!! GL finishing uni!!
I went from not knowing to completely lost 😂
14:25 you would've been caught had that burn been a flame wall instead
The amount of information is so overwelming. Learned a thing or two tho. thnx
what about irons who only have fang
I guess i just wasn't meant to raid with or without a team
19:15 horrible spec combo XD
Adding the 4:1 melee skipping is going to be very confusing for noobs watching this it looks nothing like a solo 4:1
Like I said right at the start at 0:22 the point of this video is to show the process I went through to learn solo raids. And as I said at the end at 19:09 I encourage people to watch a bunch of olm guides and use the cumulative knowledge to figure out a strategy they think works for them. To not provide my unique experience how I learned to solo, and instead just copy all the other olm guides, would be disingenuous and defeat the point of making this video, don't you think?
Everyone learns in a different way and I think the more variety there is across youtube the better. There's many comments on this video saying it helped them learn how to do olm. Even if this guide doesn't work for some people, there is a group of people that it has helped because they haven't seen a perspective like this on youtube before
Woah man I never said it wasn’t a good guide or that it was bad or that you couldn’t learn olm from this, I was just saying for me as someone trying to learn 4:1 it was a bit confusing for me
First =D
Olm guides with 4 switches is wild
Anyone want to help me learn lol zero kc RSN is nolyfeIRL
i cant stand this fucking boss
title "solo olm 4:1 guide" 1st thing he tells you to do is to do team raids -_-
The first 5:30 of this video is straight irrelevant.
