    This would be amazing to see Studio Ghibli produce a Zelda movie! Their stories are legendary!

      I think it would fit the Zelda aesthetic perfectly.

      @NindieGames I totally agree with that statement,and it is Link approval 😎

    Very cool to hear someone else talking about this. In my opinion, I think if they were to make a movie they should based it off of skyward sword story. The origin story of link and Zelda and Demises curse would be a perfect plot for a movie. You would have development for Link and Zelda. You would see link turn from this academy student, to a hero wielding the master sword, and I think it would be a perfect start to a greater cinematic universe. And you could of course follow it up with sequels and such.

      Great idea! I think actually beginning the story chronologically would also be much easier for the casual viewer to get into

    Maybe a series of Legend of Zelda episodes would work better than stuffing all the possible content into 1-2 hours

    I couldn’t agree more. There’s also another direction it COULD take though: maybe link could be a war veteran by this point, ptsd running through him. That would be why he doesn’t talk. It could also make an interesting dynamic and character development with link saving hyrule and pushing through the ptsd, and by the end getting over his original ptsd

      Very interesting take. That kind of gives me Logan vibes and honestly would make for a darker movie. I don't think that's something Nintendo would start with but I can see something like that down the line.

    The forest things and kokiri are inspired by the same Japanese folk tale if I’m not mistaken.

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад

      When I was doing some research, I do remember seeing an article that Miyazaki was inspired by a folk tale, so that wouldn't surprise me if the Zelda team also was. I just though there were a few other similarities that kind of made me feel like they were giving some attention to Princess Mononoke.

    Can't wait for Illumination to completely not understand the heart of the franchise and just make it a 3D movie with some cliche adventure

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад +4

      I think it seems like they're going to do the Mario movie some justice. But ya for Zelda I just don't think that'll work. Luckily Miyamoto has been helping behind the scenes so I assume he would do the same thing for Zelda.

    • @stachu5049
      @stachu5049 Год назад +2

      @@NindieGames so it depends if Miyamoto's influence in the movie will be good. I would also love if Aonuma worked on it too. But I gotta say, your idea probably would be better than any zelda movie produced by a big studio. It will probably be either childish in a bad way or too epic while it should be mainly whimsical

      @@stachu5049 I agree! That's why I feel like the Mononoke direction is great, it's not kiddish or too epic. It's just a good story with some amazing music and visuals

    Even though it's not my favorite Zelda. I think the land of Termina from Majora's mask, could work really well as a film/tv, as it could focus more on the people Link is helping rather than be focusing on Link constantly, making the silent protagonist less jarring.

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад

      I would love to see Termina. My guess is they would start with something more universally known such as Hyrule. Only the core fans like us would love to see something like that

    The way you describe the story sounds much more like for a television show than a movie. Going from location to location and opening up a larger story with a bigger evil sounds like the end of an episode than a movie.
    As for what I think it should be? I have a series coming out that will consist of three different videos approaching that topic, followed by 14 more videos that go into much deeper specifics. I have a trailer right now, and the videos should start releasing March 22nd.

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад +2

      Ya, I just think that because the Zelda games are all so vast and full of exploration, that it would be hard to condense the true zelda experience into a single movie. Whether it be a show or a trilogy of movies I'm open to whatever, I just want it to maintain the aesthetic.
      As for your videos, I'll definitely have to check them out it looks like you've put a hold on your channel so you can get them all out. Looking forward to it!

    • @HowToAdapt
      @HowToAdapt Год назад

      @@NindieGames Thanks!! I appreciate it!! And yeah, I started working on these videos 5 years ago, launched a completely different Nintendo channel to talk about Mario Party and practice putting videos together, and the last couple of months I've been grinding hard to finish these videos so I can release the first 9 videos within a month so people aren't waiting too long for the next video.
      Also, I do agree that there's no way you can fit everything into one movie. It's either a tv series or a movie franchise. One, big, ultimate movie wouldn't give us enough lore or time, unless it was more of a spin-off that took place in the Zelda world, but didn't feature the main characters. For example, if you did a movie about the Interloper War, that could definitely be one and done!

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад

      @@HowToAdapt A spin-off series would be so cool. That's why I think it's vital they get the first film/show right. There is just so much lore in the universe that they could make an unlimited amount of content on pretty much anything.
      That's great to hear that your finally ready to release some of these after 5 years that is some true dedication. From my personal experience, I recommend spacing your videos out even more considering you have so many lined up. I'm pretty impatient and will drop videos without having anything waiting after, and this makes me even more anxious to create something new. It's so nice having a back-log of videos to release

    • @HowToAdapt
      @HowToAdapt Год назад

      @@NindieGames I plan on releasing 2 a week and having each video about 3-4 days apart, because so many are tied together, and because what I say in one video tends to play in the next video, so I want the information to be fresh in people's minds. All 10 of those people who watch it at least lol
      Also, I agree with how much potential there is for Zelda!! I touch on how much you can do and explore in Zelda adaptations, which is why it's so important to get it right and use that as a spring board to do so many different things. However, even if they got it wrong the first time, that doesn't mean they can't try again. Like, the 90's Super Mario Movie was awful, the cartoon show that came before it was even worse, and even the anime movie they did was terrible, but I think they will finally have gotten it right with the new movie that comes out in April. Ya just gotta try, try again and not wait 30 years after a few failed attempts lol

    • @NindieGames
      @NindieGames  Год назад

      @@HowToAdapt If you're producing some consistent solid content, especially Zelda content, I think you'll find that you'll have a good amount of people watching. All it takes is one video to get caught in the algorithm and everyone will be watching all of your videos. That is something I have still yet to figure out.
      I'm not sure how much Miyamoto has worked behind the scenes on the Mario movie, but I think it's just important to have the creators around, so the directors/producers don't lose the vision. The creators actually care about the product and don't view it just as a movie. At least that's what I would like to think.
