Imma kinda cheat, I have two favorites on the album but for totally different reasons. First one is Ascensionism bc yeah its a FIRE song and his bars made me do a double take. My other favorite is Euclid, because as someone who's been listening to them since mid 2022 I've had the chance to listen to their other two albums and it has a LOOOOT of "callbacks" to their older works and it just feels like a perfect chapter closing for their music.

I cried the first time i listened to Euclid. Honestly the first several times. The call back is incredible but it somehow feels like a perfect ending. Like its the only conclusion possible. Idk how to explain how it makes me feel.

The thing with Euclid is that it's not just only the end of the album but the end of a journey dating back to Sundowning their first album of this trilogy amazing song best way to end this journey in my opinion literally brought me to tears
The end of Euclid is the start of their first album Sundowning, so when he says "we tangle endlessly" it loops back to the beginning technically lol so pretty cool trilogy dynamic.
Brother it's been fun reliving this album with you my man. If you do plan on continuing this journey with this band, brodie....their discography is there. From Sundowning all the way to the damn early EPs.....they don't miss. They've been making good ass music since the beginning of time. Congrats on making it through one of the best masterpieces of all time. S tier Album. Btw, I know other people are gonna say this but, The last part of euclid is actually a redone callback to a part on the very first song on the very first ST album: Sundowning - The Night Does Not Belong To God. In case of Sleep token having features, They never had anyone featured on their music. However, since that Take me back to eden is the end of their 3 album trilogy. I could imagine that Sleep token would do features in the future. As for my personal favorite ST songs, I don't know man they're music all around is so fire I cannot choose. I showed other people who dont listen to rock and metal and they F with Sleep token. But I highly recommmend to check out their earlier material including their first album. What I recommend for you to check out are: Jaws, The Night Does Not Belong To God, Dark Signs, Give, The Love You Want and of course the song everyone wants you to check out: Blood Sport (both the regular version and the from the room below version as well. ) Even better if you react to both in a single video

Vessels voice is very beautiful, the fact that men and women like to hear him sing says enough about how he sounds, his voice is like deep, rich chocolate and the vocal range he has is unreal. Yes, Euclid was a mathematician from ancient times. There are quotes he coined about being two parts of something, they are equal...but together they are more or whole. Something like that anyway. 😂 My favorite songs on here are (the whole album 😂) 1)The Summoning 2) Ascencionism 3) Rain.... it's too hard to put one above the other but those are my top 3. Definitely check out their older stuff when you get a chance. They're all very good. Glad you were feeling better and were able to complete the album. This album is straight 10/10. It was my album of the year for sure in 2023. Sleep Token quickly became one of my favorite artists out there, by far. If you are really enjoying this genre of music, or are just interested in some more rock/alternative/metal artists to check out, let me highly recommend the following: Bad Omens (especially their newest album, The Death of Peace of Mind) Bring Me The Horizon (so much content, but recommend starting with the album Sempiternal, specifically the song Shadow Moses, or with their new song Amen!) Motionless in White (banger artist, the newest album is absolute FIRE) Ice Nine Kills (their whole schtick is that every song is based off a horror movie, awesome concept) Ghost (can do no wrong, but Square Hammer, Cirice, and Faith are quality songs I discovered them through) Definitely loved your reactions so far that I've watched, especially for just how real they are--100% subscribed.
The guitar through-line in “are you really ok” reminds me of the guitar in “can’t you see” by the marshal Tucker band. So, yeah, I’d say a decent classification would be a low-tempo rock ballad.
Euclid is my favorite song from TMBTE, just because there's like a 50/50 chance that any time I listen to it I will randomly start crying. The whole album is amazing, but I think top 3 would have to be Euclid, TMBTE, and Ascensionism. Also YES, you were right, Euclid was an ancient Greek mathematician, he was the father of geometry!
Oof favorite song? That’s hard dude lol. Really depends on the mood. This album really covers the entire spectrum of emotion, y’know? Generally, I’d say that Take Me Back to Eden is the set piece of the album for a reason. But sometimes the smoothness of Aqua Regis is just what the doctor ordered. And sometimes a good introspective, meditative, rage out to Vore is perfect, too. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that you could literally go down the entire list and say that each song is your favorite lol.

Honestly dude, you just need to do the trilogy. Go on the emotional journey of this story. Start with Sundowning, then This Place Will Be Your Tomb and then revisit TMBTE. I think you will not only love the other albums but the emotion resonances will ring louder in the end track.
Confirmation bias is really strong. If “Are you really ok” were the first song you ever heard from sleep token you’d say it was trash and wouldn’t hear another song from them, but since other ones are so amazing it’s hard to say that you just don’t like it.

By the way, I think an album reaction to Sundowning and TPWBYT-including the earlier EP’s-will at least help you understand the overarching lore of Sleep and Vessel. Regardless, the cinematic journey you’ll get to be a part of is otherwordly. It’s like nothing you’ll ever experience if you fuck with them this heavy already. All I gotta say is buckle up, because these guys aren’t of this planet. Idk where they came from, but we’ve been blessed and touched with this music. This is something seriously special. Sleep Token quickly became one of my favorite artists out there, by far.

The guitar through-line in “are you really ok” reminds me of the guitar in “can’t you see” by the marshal Tucker band. So, yeah, I’d say a decent classification would be a low-tempo rock ballad.

Euclid is my favorite song from TMBTE, just because there's like a 50/50 chance that any time I listen to it I will randomly start crying. The whole album is amazing, but I think top 3 would have to be Euclid, TMBTE, and Ascensionism.

Oof favorite song? That’s hard dude lol. Really depends on the mood. This album really covers the entire spectrum of emotion, y’know? Generally, I’d say that Take Me Back to Eden is the set piece of the album for a reason. But sometimes the smoothness of Aqua Regis is just what the doctor ordered. And sometimes a good introspective, meditative, rage out to Vore is perfect, too. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that you could literally go down the entire list and say that each song is your favorite lol.

Start with Sundowning, then This Place Will Be Your Tomb and then revisit TMBTE. I think you will not only love the other albums but the emotion resonances will ring louder in the end track.

Confirmation bias is really strong. If “Are you really ok” were the first song you ever heard from sleep token you’d say it was trash and wouldn’t hear another song from them, but since other ones are so amazing it’s hard to say that you just don’t like it.
