  • Suttúngr Mjödr is the first single of Hyperborean Roots.
Lyrics are verses selected from the Hávamál. The history of poetic mead. (Suttúngr Mjödr) The mead of Suttung the giant.
The staging of the video is a very down-to-earth version with a humorous touch. Very far from the verses of the original. To learn the real story please refere to a version of the Hávamál traduced in a language you can understand.

I've been discovering and hearing much Nordic folk and tribal music lately and this particular piece is such a great production. I once attended a Wiccan Mabon ritual some years ago and it was a most positive experience. There is so much ignorance in today's modern world on how tribal cultures celebrated and practiced there spirituality.

Soit Do - Sol. Music is really good, but please stop stealing from other cultures (in this case siberian and inner-asian shamanism) and rebrand it like it was "nordic". Finns and sámis are culturally tied to Asia/Siberia, but the Germanic Nordic people have their own rich culture, this "nordic shamanism" is not a thing, and not needed. Thanks.
