Slurpees Defeats WCLL Gators AA Despite Allowing 4-Run Inning
The Gators scored four runs in the third inning, but Slurpees still won 14-4 on Thursday. Angelo G, Ryan S, Luke H, and Connor J each had RBIs in the frame.
Slurpees got on the board in the first inning. Slurpees scored on a stolen base during Judah L's at bat. Then Judah singled.
Slurpees tallied five runs in the third inning. Cameron J, Benjamin S, Peyton P, Dylan M, and Jackson S each had RBIs in the big inning.
River O was on the hill for Slurpees. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on zero hits over two innings, striking out six.
Draper B was on the pitcher's mound for the Gators. The righty surrendered six runs on four hits over one inning. Angelo and Camden W entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively.
Slurpees launched one home run on the day. Logan S had a long ball in the second inning.
Slurpees had nine hits in the game. Rohin J and Matthew O each collected multiple hits for Slurpees. Matthew and Rohin all had two hits to lead Slurpees. Slurpees was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Logan made the most plays with six. Slurpees tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Peyton led the way with two.
Ryan went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Gators in hits. The Gators didn't commit a single error in the field. Ryan had the most chances in the field with three.
