Indeed. I wonder if it's because Japan has already a solid rock culture with their J-rock culture? I feel Day6 is getting more into their rock visage in Japan while in Korean they mostly thread in between pop and rock and swayed more to the pop. I enjoy their rock qualities more, tbh, and I hope the Korean side notice it, too (Sungjin and YoungK's voices are so rock it's kinda sad they rarely get their perfect platform). Okay, guys, let's be honest here. It's obvious that Day6 is lacking something. I've expected this would happen, especially as they have explored musical styles outside of what we were used to with their korean releases. They're obviously lacking the skills of releasing a bad song, like they're physically incapable of doing it. It's been years now and they have never disappointed me even once that I'm starting to believe they aren't human. Day6 is perfect and thats the tea, sis. EDIT: 2 years later and this dumbass comment still makes me an enemy of the state for like 5 seconds everytime someone reads it lol On a serious note (and no one asked for this, I know, I just like to overshare because I'm sexy), I don't listen to them much anymore. I'm not sure what, or how it happened. I think this is one of the unspoken parts of growing up, when your special interests fade out over time without you realizing it. It's sad to think about, but it's life. So sometimes when I'm feeling nostalgic, I like to go back to my favorite songs of theirs. This track holds a special place in my heart, and I think when I lost interest in the band itself, I lost a part of me as well, the part that enjoyed my youth. Just listen to more pop punk/alt rock shit, most of them have the most annoying vocals ever (Neck Deep is one of them, and people like that a lot for some reason), but if you can take that you'll find some great bands there like Joyce Manor, Modern Baseball, Remo Drive and The Wonder Years

Actually I don't like that they put so much English lyrics into their Japanese release. I believe they can sing in Japanese well, and I think Japanese people don't really like so much English in Japanese songs either, so I don't know why they have to do that. Their Japanese music is so good, it just needs to be in full Japanese to complete

I guess it depends on a person by person basis but this album is produced by Warner Music Japan and has a different EQ matching that of what's popular and more well accepted in Japan.

dude, the *guitar solos* in japanese songs are the highlight, and day6's korean songs should have guitar solos too. even their ballads, that'd be perfection. (in fan-terms, they could call it jae's solo, or whatever)
Again, these guys are a really hidden gem among an industry dominated by hip hop inspired groups. These guys are underrated, found them on Spotify and just started listening.
I would literally go deaf if I was to play anything on my headphones at 75%+ volume. Headphone volume or specifically decibels are determines by the resistance, amp, and headphone itself. Then you got to consider if is a neutral or bass/low frequency boosted headphone, if they in ear, on ear, or over the ear, closed back, or open back. I understand what you mean though, the song does have some sweet vibes with a good center stage. Definitely one of their better ones.
Was this composed by the same guy who composed Stop the Rain for Day6? Whoever it is, they are really helping Day6 find their classic hard rock sound. It’s not 100% Day6 which is not a bad thing , that’s just what happens to be their formula for composing songs. Collapsedone does a great job along with the members to put out their korean releases. i can literally see male anime protagonist running on a dessert with a background of all the friends and nakama and villains he has faced when brian hits the chorus, this is it the best anime opening song without being an anime opening song
I love Day6 Japanese songs, in my opinion they can show more their talents with this style specially if we talk about instruments. I love their Korean songs too. But like the Korean rock typically has more chill vibes so they can pull off more voices and symphonies making you cry most of the time but without using so much of their talent on instruments. And then when you go to their Japanese style they just slap you in da face with the drum, shoot you in the dignity with the guitar and bass, and then they burn your wig with their voices and the piano, also the lyrics of Japanese songs are more powerful most of the time and dark so they express their feelings punching you in the ears till you agreed with them. And the lyrics of Korean style have most of them a beautiful or sad meaning but they transfer it to you as a gift and like a baby. I personally prefer an more aggressive use of the instruments :D Thanks to read my opinion uwu

I love the solid rock sound in their Japanese releases. And the english lyrics. They can totally pull off a full english album.

Actually I don't like that they put so much English lyrics into their Japanese release. I believe they can sing in Japanese well, and I think Japanese people don't really like so much English in Japanese songs either, so I don't know why they have to do that. Their Japanese music is so good, it just needs to be in full Japanese to complete

But yeah, I do agree that this song has more english than Japanese. It sounds like a western band trying to reach out to their Japanese audience like that time Avril Lavigne added Japanese lyrics to one of her songs. :D Hopefully in their next songs they'll have full on Japanese lyrics. I'm sure it'll come. Day6 always delivers. ;)

I would literally go deaf if I was to play anything on my headphones at 75%+ volume. Headphone volume or specifically decibels are determines by the resistance, amp, and headphone itself. Then you got to consider if is a neutral or bass/low frequency boosted headphone, if they in ear, on ear, or over the ear, closed back, or open back. I understand what you mean though, the song does have some sweet vibes with a good center stage. Definitely one of their better ones.

It’s not 100% Day6 which is not a bad thing , that’s just what happens to be their formula for composing songs. Collapsedone does a great job along with the members to put out their korean releases. they didn't lie when they said day6 songs are relatable.
I love Day6 Japanese songs, in my opinion they can show more their talents with this style specially if we talk about instruments. I love their Korean songs too. But like the Korean rock typically has more chill vibes so they can pull off more voices and symphonies making you cry most of the time but without using so much of their talent on instruments. And then when you go to their Japanese style they just slap you in da face with the drum, shoot you in the dignity with the guitar and bass, and then they burn your wig with their voices and the piano, also the lyrics of Japanese songs are more powerful most of the time and dark so they express their feelings punching you in the ears till you agreed with them. And the lyrics of Korean style have most of them a beautiful or sad meaning but they transfer it to you as a gift and like a baby. I personally prefer an more aggressive use of the instruments :D
