Just ordered mine today - found someone who had one in stock and I called and the clerk was able to put his hands on it and my order is in. For me it is all about weight, size, and outstanding image quality. I have the 90 but when I just want to go out and shoot, I will gab this one. It is a seriously good lens.
"The XCD 3,4/75P lens is available now, priced at $2,229 USD / €2529 EUR, through Hasselblad's online store and select retailers worldwide." for anyone else curious. I kinda expected more from this price range. Thanks for the video and tips, always appreciated!
@@jaredwolfe8438 it's all subjective of course, but it just doesn't look that clean and high quality. If I just saw the photos and had to guess, I would've put this lens around 1500$ no more.
Thanks for sharing a lot of useful insights. May I ask what flash you use with your X2D? I tried the Godox V1 (Nikon version), but it does not work on my X2D. I think if you did a RUclips video just on how to use an X2D with different flashes, starting from a simple hot shoe mount, that would be very useful for all X2D shooter, I think. Hope you will consider doing one. Thanks in advance.
Question I recently had a shoot (I’m new still) in a similar area like manny and Elizabeth. But in some pictures my model had a green or yellow tint on her. I imagine it’s white balanced related. But for a shoot like this, autumn, what do I need to do?
Thank you for the lens review. You mentioned, "I feel I'm getting the same kind of sharpness, overall image quality, and rendering that I get with more expensive lenses like the 90V." I respectfully disagree with that assessment. To my eye, the 75P doesn't render images quite like the 90V. While I understand that the 80mm f/1.9 and the 90V are closer in image quality, there seems to be a more noticeable gap between the 75P and the 90V.
Nice review Manny...but this is well out of my league. I'm still rocking my a7iii which I bought because of your review. I love my a7iii. It does what I need and it does it good! I can't imagine stepping away from it. I will, however, have need to up my resolution and lighting set up at some point.
Thanks Manny, nice video but I just can't see the appeal. What does it do better than a high end Canon or Sony or Nikon? I know what it doesn't have that those cameras do and the lenses are so over priced. It just doesn't make sense to buy an inferior camera and lenses for so much more.
I'm not Manny...but I have been a photographer for over 30 years and shot MF on Hasselblad, Mamiya, and Pentax with chrome back in the day. I can tell you what it does (for me) that makes it special (I have the X1Dii). There are three areas the HB is better (IMO) than say, a Sony (I have the A7Riiia as well). 1) The HB color science is unmatched. It just looks so much better (to me) than any other camera. Others tend to agree. 2) The files hold up to editing better than any other camera I have worked with. You can push them (with ease) in ways that would cause a FF file to start to unravel. and ...3) Dynamic range. There is more detail in the shadows and highlights that can be pulled than with my Sony (this also assists in the editing). I compared raw files from every camera available with around 50mp before I bought my X1dii. The difference isn't just romaticizing because it's a Hassey. I've owned digital Leicas, Nikon, Sony...and thoroughly explored Canon and Fuji MF files. I would happily sell my Sony for something else if it fit what I needed....but the HB is the first digital camera I have no desire to part with. No, it doesn't nave the AF tracking of a new Sony or Canon or Nikon...but what it specializes in (IQ) it does better than anything else of similar size / price. It's that good, and although I don't feel the need to upgrade to the X2D...I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who needs what it has to offer and can afford to invest in the ecosystem. My .02c
What's with 90% of RUclips photographers making Hasselblad reviews only?! I guess education, useful real-life information and regular viewer benefit is out the window now? We can't all get Hasselblads for free you know 😂
it is just a boring , slow, little longer normal lens, only positiv to say is that it is cheap for H. the 90 makes just more sense for portraits but the GF80mm 1.7 is even the better option.
I know this might ruffle some feathers, but it’s hard to have an opinion without being labeled a hater. That said, this lens has no 3D pop-just flat results for the price. Hasselblad cameras are stunning, but some of these lenses fall short.
Manny was one of the first youtube photo guys i watch really got me interested, but its become a commercial for things i can not afford. I will miss you Manny as i hit my unsubscribe button
What a gorgeous model, and great video editing as always
the hassleblad x2d is my dream camera

If you need an Epic model just call Elisabeth
wow, wow, and WOW. I heard you Manny, but I didn't see you until the end of the video 🔥
Love how the older lady just makes a B line to walk right through the shot. 😂
Amazing ! Again ! Love it ! 📸
This is the manny we want consistency
A modelo dando a vida pelo vídeo, excelente 👏🏼

I live in Rockford now, I will have to do some photography in Chicago ASAP
You know it's serious when Manny calls Elizabeth... She understands the assignment
She is spectacular.

Now the question is should I keep my 80 or not?
A budget hasselblad lens? Great review as always.
That made me giggle, but kudos to the big H for making more affordable gear. 😂😂😂
@@paulengle5784Me too, Hasselblad and budget in the same sentence
I hope Elizabeth got paid well by Hasselblad, she was the star of the show.
Fresh looks!
Gorgeous captures! Thanks for sharing your talent, and the model is okay
interesting focus fall off for a 3.4 but not convinced the 55 80 or 90 are not better choices
How does XCD 3,4/75P compare with XCD 2,5/90V?
Magnificent
Hmm this or the 55mm 2.5?
The girl is 🔥🔥🔥, damn!!!! Question, what backpack are you wearing???
Is that the made in China lens?
What if it is?
Manny, man…what backpack IS that? Asking for a friend..😂
Peter McKinnon Nomatic back pack. Probably the 25L
@@jwoody904 I appreciate the answer! Thank you!
Wow the Hasselblad that costs a kidney! wow Elizabeth is my fave model, she's too pretty y'all..
Your model looks like Vanessa Kirby 😊
thanks for sharing
Nice review. Am I the only one that wonders why he never uses the viewfinder?
Don’t need too I’ve never use it myself with these higher end newer cameras
Budget yeah right
Same thing is said 😂 Aint no "budget" When talking about Hasselblad.
Tired in the lack of image quality improvement in every full frame camera of recent years. Time may have come to jump to MF.
Wait for the X3D...

Funny that Hasselblad gives gear to influencers when 99.9% of their audience will never be able to afford it. Cool video though I guess.

no it is not like a 50. it is a 75mm caracteristics with a wider crop. like in a standard 35mm. it is not apple to apple....
No bokeh, like iphone photo 🫣
