@@AllenPortman thank you sir for your service! I called 911 once. Just got home from work in the middle of winter. Sat down and blood started gushing from my nose. I panicked. The fellas from the fire station a few blocks away were here in a couple of minutes. They were the sweetest. Even showed concern for my ruined new white cotton blouse. Lol. They stayed with me until my husband got home. Firemen said it was just a bloody nose probably due to dry air, but suggested I go to the ER because I felt so odd. They said it was likely anxiety. ER doctor diagnosed me with an anxiety disorder. The fellas from the fire department were outstanding! So again, on behalf of everyone you helped during your career, thank you so much! 😊 Even those of us who only THINK we are dying really appreciate you. ♥️

First Responders don't use "walkie talkies". Most of our radios are incredibly complex and cost $6,000-$10,000 each. I depend on my radio to save my life if things go sideways.
So what’s changed? Could it be our forced policies on diversity and multiculturalism? Do we see this happening in majority white conservative towns and cities? Many of our politicians continue to promote the blending of cultures instead of demanding to preserve the American culture! If this is not a problem in our country then why is this happening to cities with a large minority presence? I’m not spewing racist rhetoric even though race has plenty to do with it. Without assimilation by EVERYONE into the American culture and its core values then we might as well rename our country the Divided States of America!
There were some old houses in a neighborhood I would go through from time to time. They were probably 1930s-ish. One was a beautiful Victorian. They were being renovated to their former glory. The Victorian was about half done and already had a buyer. We had an exceptionally cold winter that year. The homeless took refuge in the houses. They didn't care and started a fire to keep warm. It couldn't be saved 😢. The renovation on the other houses ceased and were eventually torn down and bought by a frozen food company. Some say it was the frozen food company
@user-pinckneysux generally it's already in a part of town where people don't say much. Yes, neighbors that are deeply rooted individuals of the area, they may report something out of the normal.

They are reluctant to make a hole in the garage door because they don't want to fuel a fire in the garage. There's a huge risk if there's aerosol cans & anything that can explode. It'll knock those firemen into the next block!!! 😮
No different than many other cities. Everyone's getting a taste of what Detroit, New York, Chicago, LA and Miami have been dealing with for decades now. As far as the fires that is.
Great coverage!!! I think the smoke coming from the main part of the house is just due to the PPV fan being set up which creates positive pressure pushing the smoke through and out of the structure!
I'm not aware of what is going on in Bakersfield but probably the same situations in many cities. Why are so many homes being abandoned in what looks like an upscale neighborhood? Terrible situation.
Because people do not have money to buy homes, so, many houses on the market end up abandoned, and sometimes it is houses in joint possession, and if the owners can not find a way to be all agree, it can last several years, sometimes until the house becomes unsaleable.
A large huge fire? What is a small huge?? Sorry. I ama sarcastic person. Great video. God bless all first responders. Great job Fire Department members. Thank you.
This is very sad, but this is also what happens when someone would rather let a house sit empty than rent it out, or sell it. Its a shame, and sych a nice house too.
It's sad because it's that much longer. It's taking him to get in there and the house is just burning down. Why do people do that? Stupid, leave other people stuff along.I'm at least
Better renting then just sitting but who can afford rates, us good people fighting week to week, working, honest, only law abiding is why we are going to homeless status, yes bad renters, but more is extreme rates. The only people affording rates are many criminals who get money criminally

That homeowner’s insurance premiums are going to skyrocket if they don’t drop them altogether. The insurance nightmare has just begun.
It's an absolute shame people can't try to work and fix up only to have someone take it from them great video
Now, they gotta risk their own life by going in there and clearing it, and making sure nobody's in there
They don't have a choice but to open it up to access the fire ventilate so they can do an adequate search and rescue of the structure!

I was at a party at that house back in 1982.
Thank god we left SoCa!
Some states have laws about fencing just for this kind of reason
We have a lot of burnt down buildings in our town. Caused from the homeless and drug users
Sadly putting bars on windows and doors make it deadly . Firefighters call barred up houses "fire pits" cruel I know.

When I lived in Fresno we had three houses burn down in a two week period. All them started by homeless people.

I just wondering and maybe I missed something but the firemen don’t seem to be in much hurry.

Nobody looks like there in a hurry that’s for sure .
The firemen don’t seem to be in any hurry to put this fire out!
Because oxygen feeds fire, and as soon as they opened that that caused a draft
Shouldn’t they have some sort of breathing apparatus on to protect them from the smoke?
They did. Outside the building its not needed nearly as much. Plus, they call firemen Smoke eaters for a reason.

Creosoate, shingles, rubber creates black smoke.
