Loved the video y’all had a blast always good to see you doing different challenges with friends inspired me to go to my friends and come up with fun challenges in bowling as well! Wish you the best buddy
3:33 While Packy was talking about the Greater Ozarks Ooen, I couldn't help but see the fuzzy spare attempt behind him. How does someone chop, only hitting the center pin on a 7 count?
I just saw a video from the '40s with a fellow you probably know of, but I'd never heard of before. Andy Varipapa. The guys does some really crazy trick shots. Next time Packy decides to do trick shot video, I suggest he pick a couple of Varipapa'a signature shots. I loved the Flying Eagle video. I fact I find your humor and camaraderie in general very entertaining. I liked bowling when I was younger, bowled in a junior league when I was 12 and took my kids bowling as often as I could while they were growing up. But...time takes over & I just can't do it anymore. I still get enjoyment from watching you guys do it tho so if you keep posting, I'll keep watching.
I used to bowl the greater Ozarks when it was an amateur tournament. Now it's flooded with professionals, if I was good enough to compete with professionals I'd be on tour with you.
Really enjoyed the vid. I have to ask I'm a right handed bowler who golfs left and I golf left because I batter left in baseball. What's your story on the left right thing
Golf and bowling are potentially the hardest sports to master, people aren’t shooting -18 every time or shooting 300 every game. Both have variables that change each time. Oil pattern for bowling and weather and course conditions for golf. I enjoy playing both. I have 3 300’s and 2 - 800’s and my low 18 hole round is 77. Everyday is a challenge. And just because you played well yesterday, doesn’t mean you’re going to score well today.
Fascinating that you bowl left handed but you golf right handed! Any particular reason for that? I know right-handed golf clubs are much more common and accessible than left-handed ones.
I love bowling *_and_* golf, even though I’m more of a bowler at heart.. which is why it pains me to have to say that golf is objectively the hardest and most all-around challenging sport.. solo or not.. and it isn’t even close. It has the most constantly-changing variables to overcome where literally every golf shot of your life out on a course will be different than any other. Could sorta say the same for bowling, sure.. with different lanes and conditions and how the oil and patterns change as games/tournaments go on.. but still nowhere near the same degree. Like I said, I love bowling and have bowled all my life and taken it very seriously, but the feeling you get when you hit a perfect golf shot - from a less than ideal lie, or even just hitting it in close from around 150yds or from being plugged in a bunker - is hard to beat. Just knowing how many things had to all work in unison to make it happen when you truly think about them all, it almost feels like magic. I guess only people who have played golf will know what I mean. Truthfully comparing the two sports isn’t even something that needs to happen and isn’t fair lol. Even though it seems like they are basically second cousins in the sporting world or something ..somehow.. they are far too different to compare on any real level. I just love both and that’s all that really matters to me. I promise, everything doesn’t have to be a competition these days. Everything will be alright without having some needless and arbitrary conflict between two unrelated things. And that’s not speaking to Packy or this video.. I just mean how people are these days, in general. Always gotta find two things to pit against each other; vaguely related or not. Just seems like people constantly *_have_* to be arguing about SOMEthing, if you haven’t noticed lol. Sorry for the borderline unhinged-length comment that most won’t read 😅
Without watching I’d have to disagree. I played D-1 golf and on some mini tours and I would guarantee I could bowl 300 before you break par. That being said not taking anything away from bowling and just how hard it is because it’s extremely hard but it’s much easier to carry a 220 average than it is to become a scratch golfer.
I don't think that's true. They are both about the same and have similar issues. Yes golf is harder to be a top teir guy compared to bowling. It's still about the same if you're going for the around 70 or 80 strokes or a 210avg. Where people struggle with these sports is breaking bad habits and learning improper techniques.
I'm picking up golf, and I'd agree house shots are probably easier than a more forgiving course. But I'd say averaging 200-220 on an actual sport shot is likely just as hard as becoming a scratch golfer.
@Fireavatar33 exactly. Also doing it across different places like in golf. Anyone can become scratch golfers at their local course and same can be said for bowling.
@ see I was just stating fact. I think would be much easier for a non bowler to bowl a 250 than it would a non golfer to shoot par. Doesn’t take away one bit how tough bowling is and how good these pros are they are amazing. It’s unfortunate PBA executives don’t market them and the sport better. Golf is just one of if not the hardest sport to become elite at. There’s just so many more variables.
@Lovetheducks the difference i see is that being an everyday scratch golfer isnt elite. Same with being an everyday scratch bowler isnt elite. Ther are millions of people in these categories across the world and they all will get mopped by actual elite golfers/bowlers typically. Sure you can get lucky but in tournament settings thats extremely unlikely. A local scratch golfer qualifying and being top 10 at the open after several 18 hole rounds is not going to happen. Same with a local scratch bowler competing at the masters. They are most likely not going to make it through qualifying to get invited and then make it out of the 30+ game tournament. Both are very similar. There's no real edge
Unless you guys didn't film one of his shots Packy should've gotten a 5 on the second hole. Shot 1 o.b., drop penalty 2, runner 3, chip on green 4, putt in for 5. So really you all should've tied. At 2 over.
@@TheHouseBowling when you get to 100k subscribers you can “verify” your RUclips account and it puts a little check mark next to your name, so people no you are past 100k subscribers and they know you are legit.
Neither sport is hard to play, it's doing it consistently at a high level that is the hard part! To me, golf and tennis are then the hardest sports to play!!
Packy you da man but no way in hell bowling is tougher in golf. Think about it.. you get two chances to mess up a frame in bowling. In golf.. a hole can be f***ed up many ways.. the end..
Bowling harder than golf, no way. The balls today have made the game so much easier. It's amazing what scores can be shot by those who are lacking in the basic bowling fundamentals. Easy to be a scratch bowler, try to become a scratch golfer.
Bowling harder than golf? Absolute nonsense. I would compare a golf +10 par to bowling a 300. The best Golf teacher can't teach a +10 par in golf in 3 years from novice. The best Bowling teacher can teach a perfect game in 3 years from novice. Ya'll ridiculous.
Bowing harder than golf? .. HAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣.. I don't think so. I have played competitive golf for over 30 years. The level of effort to become a top amateur golfer has been MUCH MUCH greater than would be the same for bowling. There are a whole lot of very similar concepts between the two sports, interestingly enough, but it took me thousands and thousands of training hours to get that good at golf. Yes, takes a lot of effort to become that good of an amateur bowling, but I would contend that it is quite a bit more difficult to achieve the same level in golf.
For starters Packy, neither bowling or golf is a sport. Trust me, I do/did both of them. As for bowling I was in the industry for 42 years. Bowling is a recreational game and as you well know bowling scores can be controlled with the push of a button. Golf, not so much but depending on pin placements and watering times greens can be more receptive or not.
That’s the longest I’ve ever watched any golf and been interested in it. Good stuff Packy!
Such a cool and fun experience hopefully we can be apart of another video in the future
Would be a blast!!
Next one will have to be a gaming challenge maybe you’ll stand a chance!
Fun stuff ya bastards.....
Love the plug for the Greater since I live in Springfield. I also love Packy's vids - some of the most entertaining things on RUclips.
As someone who doesn’t watch much golf content I thought this video was so entertaining great job would love to see them come back!
I am a lefty bowler and a righty golfer too, Packy! I use an ambidextrous putter and 1 lefty driver for sometimes.
Love the video always finding ways to motivate me also I saw you on TV playing for the pba I'm praying you win
Great way to wind down after coming back from vacation. Love this channel! ❤

I wanted to be hitting three!
@TheHouseBowling I mean, shot 1 out of bounds, drop 2 (penalty), hitting 3... I feel like you got screwed lol
Bowling is not harder than golf, I have made a 200 game in bowling but cant even get in the 90s for golf on a par 72
A more apt comparison would be. Shooting 200 once is like bogeying once in golf.
