I don't want to be disrespectful to the young men at Arizona who clearly played their hearts out, but I just cannot figure this out. In terms of their resources, they have everything possibly needed to succeed. And they just don't. This is not a brand new problem. This coach, and these players are not "The problem". Whatever is wrong is so deeply imbedded that they literally have what is now a TRADITION of mediocrity, as opposed to a "Slump". They have a few brights spots with double digit wins (2014, 1998, 1993), but for the most part they are a program that can recruit well, has major facilities, and gets some great players. Why are they this unstable? I don't know the answer. I am not a Arizona fan, nor a hater, just a football fan for almost 40 years who cannot for the life of me see how they can remain in place for so long despite exhaustive efforts to improve. Truly a mystery.
In any case, good luck to them and congratulations to No AZ for clearly being the better team out there at the moment.
