    I had saved £2000 in my emergency fund and had an emergency which cost around that amount. As gutted as I was to part with the money I was so thankful it wasn't 2k on a credit card!

    I had just made a debt tracker to pay off a loan by the end of 2023. But now after watching this I realize, I should just use savings to pay it off. Thanks for the advice 😁

    It's so useful to hear about these real situations. I agree $1000 isn't enough for a savings buffer-I learned that the hard way but am brushing myself off and trying again!

    She needs to take those credit cards and do a transfer to 1 card. Credit card companies are always offering no interest transfers sometimes for up to a year. Sometimes existing cards with let you do no interest balance transfers. She should take advantage of that
    She’s paying $380 every month to several cards all with high interest.
    I did this in 08 when we had a few cards and it never felt like we made any progress. I opened up a new card and did a balance transfer on all 3, paid no interest for 1 year, paid $500 each month to pay it all in 1 year so I didn’t have to pay any interest

    Miko, this could not have come at a better time. Bless you and Britney for it! I have been following BBP for over 5 years. At the end of every calendar year I re-evaluate your 9 steps. The low rates on my investments and the high rate of interest on my debt had me consider cashing in some of my investments when they come due early February. I’m retired with both a work and government pension. Those investments are not serving me at this time, and therefore I will cash (less than half) and pay off my high interest debts. This video confirmed in my heart that it is the right thing to do!
    I redrafted my March budget, and will direct the bank to put my EF fund automatic transfer to the principle on the remaining low interest loan. My EF will be at $5K by that time.
    Again, thank you for this very timely video 🥰

    Can you do a budget for someone without debt? I do not have any debt but I don't know how to invest well and I don't know what to do when it comes to high yield savings accounts. There are so many budget videos out there for getting out of debt. But it's kind of hard to know what to do with your money when you don't have debt. Everyone tells you to invest but on one gives you practical ways or places to start

    This hit very close to home! We decided together that we need to pay off our credit card instead of having a month ahead for our bills in cash. It felt good to have that cash on hand, but after seeing how much was added to our balance after interest, it made us sick! We still have a month to save for next months bills, but now it feels better to have a lower balance on our card! Win, win!

    Thank you for all you do I purchased your paycheck workbooks this year. I am a senior now at 66 years old and I want to pay off my car loan of $33,000.00 and debt loan of 6800.00 from Affinity Credit Union. But you would be proud of me Milo because I switch to a Credit Union Bank. Which was the best thing I did for myself. True fact MY Bank America car payment went from $596.00 to $488.00. Wells Fargo Debt Loan went from $333.00 to $155.00. Just by going to a Federal Credit Union. Just by that one word you used in YOUR video

    So..... 2023 as many people will soon realized, the credit card companies have increased interest rates. I have 3 credit cards that are all now at 32% interest rates. How on earth does one get ahead of this when on a strict budget.. ???

    Hi budget mom. Please reconsider bringing back your budget by paycheck workbook in printed form. I missed out last year and was excited to hopefully get one this year only to find out you no longer have it. Please please reconsider. So many people would be happy to have it back. We are forced to purchase planners elsewhere as lots of us don't have printers easily available

    Miko you always say that you can pay off debt and save for your future and you’ve put nothing into her savings.
    I also don’t agree with increasing her emergency fund based on your comfort level. If she’s comfortable with $1000 then leave it there. I’d have put the extra from the tattoo into finishing her holiday fund, a Christmas fund and the rest to debt

    • @stop08it
      @stop08it Год назад +1

      Her cc debt interest rates are insane, it would make no sense putting more into savings when she has a good sized emergency fund. The interest she generates every month would be eating into those “savings”

    No money there to bridge the gap if it was to come. Praying my salar will com Monday or Tuesday and I can move on.

    When you mention the vacation and her reaching her goal, does that mean she already paid it off and then saving the amount she paid on the vacation or are you meaning she didn't pay for the vacation and once she saves enough she can pay for the vacation?

    • @TH0KH
      @TH0KH Год назад

      The latter. Vacation was in savings, not debt, meaning she has cash sitting in a savings account. Reaching her goal means she has saved the entire amount planned and has the cash ready for when she actually books the vacation.
