It’s Doctor Who, I wouldn’t call that show obscure... unless you’re being sarcastic, to which I’d have to say: make it more obvious. It’s text, so intonation can’t be used to convey sarcasm
DnD 2e and 3e, as well as Pathfinder 1e, have a similar spell - Spel Turning. 7th lvl, gives you a barrier that basically throws back any single target non-melee spells (so can't reflect Fireball, but can throwback Power Word: Death), can deflect up to 10lvl of spells also has some funky events if both casters spellturn. You can easily copy-paste the spell and its effects into your homebrew.

If you can't handle palabro as the literal god of the world then you're not a good dm. To counter them use multiple weaker enemies instead of one strong one. Or just don't give them as many long rests, that way they can't just nova every fight. The Paladins are not the problem, you as a dm are. Also the radient immunity would be too much, as it would make half the party feel useless.

In addition, you can take the feat multiple times for different damage types each time. Sadly, it does not remove immunities. I have a feeling the actual campaign session has been this and the entire time the ending would be a boss fight with the Wizard. The D&D games they were playing were them playing their characters playing D&D. But this is not how it ends...no there are more spell slots for this plot.

I have watched this video more times than I care to admit. "The Wizard" just taps into something primordial about D&D. Even the voice that you use has existed in my group for years as the universal antagonist voice for "that guy" at the table. Every game table has had someone utter the words "You can't keep doing this man."
Oh my gosh this video was so good! The ending had me screaming! The build up with the foreshadowing and using the villain’s weapon against him was just so satisfying for me. I freaking loved this and all you at XP to Level 3 should be proud!

I will add this as a NPC for my games. Mad Wizard It can cast fireball at will. Dispel Magic Haste Time Stop And other things Jacob used in this series.
I feel like this is like seeing the descent of any powerfull wizard getting to that point where they start trying to rationalise becoming a lich. That whole "I am all powerfull, I will control everything, even my own death" kinda vibes.

I have watched this video more times than I care to admit. "The Wizard" just taps into something primordial about D&D. Even the voice that you use has existed in my group for years as the universal antagonist voice for "that guy" at the table. Every game table has had someone utter the words "You can't keep doing this man."

It was the wizards turn when he used on the wizard, meaning the wizard had his reaction still and could use reflect on the last spell.
That quick grin before saying "reflect" was great XD. Its funny cause this is literally me during my current campaign cause all of my abilities are fire ones.
I will add this as a NPC for my games.
