    Interesting tuning, I'll have to give it a shot at some point. As far as the theory side of it goes for any wondering, you could call that open chord either an Amaj6/9/E or an F#m11/E, though I'd probably be more inclined to call it the Amaj6/9/E. Would lend itself really well to either E mixolydian, E major, A lydian, or A major. All open notes fit in those scales, though with the E in the bass I'd probably gravitate more towards E mixolydian or E major

    Sounds absolutely beautiful man. Finding new tunings to write in is such a fun treat after focusing on one idea for too long.

    Listen to "Fine For Now" by Grizzly Bear. It uses this tuning too.

    That first chord is the first chord in Ohio is for lovers... lol i wonder if the tuning is the same or if its up or down from your tuning. It would def work for midwest
