And you can still buy them today. I just bought one about two years ago because I got mad with the fancy ones I had in the kitchen. Stopped in at the Dollar Store and pick up a cheap one with a long history. Worked better than all the new ones I had in the drawer put together. 😂😏
As a new homeowner let alone a new farm owner I would recommend and suggest that you keep any and all tools worth saving or restoring that way you can keep different sets all over the property so if you need a tool you don't have to run back to the barn to get one for the house or you don't have to go to the house to get one for the shed you keep a set all over.
Not so old, well maybe kinda old. I have one like that in my kitchen drawer. I think it came from my dad (may he rest in piece) from back in the 70's when I was a child.
Think about how many people fished off that dock over the years. I'm surprised you didn't find more pliers, knives and fishing lures. The flashlight is indeed kinda old. That bottle opener was probably what was used to open those old beer cans and they got a buzz on and dropped it! LOL 21:40 it looks like a hand crank can opener with the crank missing. Thanks for sharing with us!!🐢✌
This video was pretty interesting. You should do more “under the dock” videos. You got some great stuff. Love the enthusiasm and commentary while you film.
One little 2 little 3 little pliers, 4 little 5 little 6 little pliers, 7 little pliers and so many more all at the bottom of the dock lol. That thing u couldn't figure out somewhere around the 20-22 min mark was a broken can opener just missing the blade and the butterfly crank. Glad to see all that fishing line come out of the water. Love seeing those old logging tools come up!! Another great trip on the water!!
Ya know Tyler, I was thinking, too bad you don’t somehow work with local environmental agencies in reporting or recording the quagga and zebra mussel densities in regions you magnet fish. It might help them to focus management efforts in some cases.
I think they would jump at the chance to get the Info you could give them. Also the E.P.A. would be interested in info you could give them on dump sites you find spots with so much junk that there must of been illegal dumping at some time weather by a industry, or land owner they might like to know that they exist. Just take a G. P. S. reading with your phone and mark what type of scrap your getting.
Another great day, Tyler! Btw, that last thing you found, it actually looks like either the inner workings of an electric motor or the whole enchilada. That shaft is the motor's drive shaft. That river is looking like one Cool Tool Pool, huh?
I have been watching your videos for the past 3 days because I’m home sick with nasty flu. You’ve made me smile and laugh so I haven’t dealt quite so miserable. Thank you so much!! Keep those videos coming 😊😊
A bit over 36 minute video, which you probably spent a whole day of fishing to get that amount of video, then editing it all together. You do some wonderful work on these. OH WOW, metal Schlitz can that is intact. That's some money for collectors. On those tools that have rust, you can use a drill with a 'rotary wire wheels' to clean them up easily, rather than using just a wire brush and elbow grease to clean them. A little WD-40 also helps on the Pivot Point will help with making them move better. On the heavily rusted pliers if you want to restore it, put it in some vinegar for less than 12 hours (starts pitting after a while, so check on it regularly) then use 'rotary wire wheel' on it. I've used that on many 'Farm Finds' to clean rusted tools right up. That one "Pliers' looking thing is a Can Opener, I have one like that in a kitchen drawer. Those Logging Tools are worth some money for sure. OH, you found a Bow Saw, but didn't show you fishing it up.
Great video Fisher as always. That thing you thought for dog nails is an old hand held can opener, great find. They should call you Fisher the tool man 😂
At 21:50 it is a manual can opener. It is broken, but, I have one just like it, I have used for years. Always so much fun to see the things you pull out of the water. I am anxious for the video of the property update, what you have done with it, so excited for you!
Awesome finds fisher. You will never be out of a pair of pliers. Lol. And pocket knives. Poor Frankie he lost his home. Love your videos and your humor
Awesome video. You found some really cool things 😀. That was a lot of pliers. The metal thing you found that you thought was pliers is a can opener. It's missing the piece that opens the can. Thank you for sharing. Please stay safe and always remember to have fun 🤠
The Payne Lumber company was right where Fox River Brewing is. I’m thinking the chains were to keep the logging rafts together. Have you gone down further towards Butte Des Morts there’s those old pilings near the cemetery that might have some stuff there. Great videos!
Hey Fisher! We live in southwest Arkansas. We love watching your videos. You are soo funny with your personal sound effects. The Hartco knife you found under the dock my husband and I think it was an old advertisement gift from Hartco Flooring. Because of you, we bought a magnet. This spring we are getting 360 magnet. So much fun treasure hunting! Keep up the great work!! God bless you and your son.
So cool to watch your video! I am sure it will be getting cold there soon so stay warm and it could be a good time to make a bunch of The Fisher Restoration video with all you new finds!!😊
I think it would be cool if you took a wall inside or outside that you put oddities you find from mag fishing. Then periodically take a pic to show us how it is looking. Thanks for this video.
Fantastic finds today Tyler. Your the tool man now, with all those pliers. Depending on how old they are, they can be worth alot to a collector. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
They weren't used for ice , the Peavey is used for turning or moving really large logs. I used to peel logs for log homes and these antiques are what they still use today.
10:08 I am and I am thinking that. That's a date on the bottom! 1960. That sucker is 3 years older than me! Only 2 holes in that can made by the old guy who threw it in there. SUPER nice find
Hi Tyler…😊❤ at 21:37…..old school hand held can opener. I have several. Good to see you. Hope you and yours had a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁And thank you for all you do cleaning our waterways!😊❤👍🏻
Awesome video Bud. You could clean up those tools, put new handles in the hammers, rehook the lures, grab a truckload of anchors among other things, rent a booth at a flea market and make some cash money baby.
29:41 That's called a "Dormor." It's very similar to an anchor, but it doesn't dig in on the ground. It's used for Bouys. They're designed to hold them in place but still able to move around if needed. It was likely used for marking bouys when they built the dock.
Great video, I have been waiting for you to revisit the fishing piers in your boat. The number of pliers surprised me. I also thought you would find more hooks and swivels. Also around minute 22 I believe you found a very broken can opener
Awesome video! We call going under the dock "sneak attack" ! Next time when you pull the magnet try pulling alongside the pilings, lots of stuff gets hung up at the bottom of them. At 30 minutes into the video that would be a sand anchor.
I am 60 some years old and as far back as I can remember there was always pop top cans. I do recall that V8 juice required one of those openers that punched a hole in the lids. So those cans must be older than heck. It is amazing how good that can was for how old it must be.
That knife you found under the dock at 6:16 is old. My guess is it was about 125 years old. I could tell that it had a antler handel and was probably carried by someone who worked on a barge or river boat and was used cutting ropes and anything else. I hope you still have it. I think I know why your getting so much stuff under the dock. It is because the old dock was closer to the shore. You can see the old posts in the there you can tell by looking that the old dock was lined up there under the new dock. Those old post at the end of the new dock sticking out of the water would be a good spot to drop the magnet in I bet
Sometimes I wonder just how different it would be if these murky waters were as clean as the mountain rivers and lakes around me. It really makes me wonder just how much is hidden under all that murk.
Tyler, it's too bad the zebra mussels aren't sold by the dozen. With the amount you have pulled out you would be right up there with Elon Musk. But then you are on your way with pliers 😂
Hey tyler, That big butter knife that u drug out from the depths by that blue bridge... and a stone wall. That black butter knife is silver. Silver turns black.. I know its hard to pinpoint particular things but I thought I would tell you. It was put online 6-8 days ago maybe. Thanks for the entertainment! Watching the 6plier one by the docks.✌️
I really enjoy watching you pull up those pliers and the hand turning can opener I hope you let us know if found the person of bracelet. I think maybe a family member would enjoy seeing it !?😅
Your nut cracker is a can opener. Still have the small metal can opener on a magnet, stuck to the side of our fridge. One man can never have enough tools😁. Thanks for sharing
At 22:00 minutes: The item you asked if it is a toe nail clipper, it is not. That is an older can opener. It is missing the turn handle and the cutting blade.
Thank you so much for watching! ❤️
😂😂 The 1st silver thingy you pulled out....not dog toenail clippers, it's a can opener. And the long hook remover are actually called hemostats!
The unidentified piece of moveable parts, is missing a small piece and it's a can opener! 🤓✌️
👍👍 Always amazed at the variety!
When are you tape the copro to the magnet and get underwater shorts
Is a real old can opener
Would love to see an update about a possible return of that bracelet. That would be so cool!
The dog clipper thing is actually a can opener.
Bet me to it.
Most likely way the sardine can wasn't rolled up eith a key style opener.
The other end is a bottle opener
And you can still buy them today. I just bought one about two years ago because I got mad with the fancy ones I had in the kitchen. Stopped in at the Dollar Store and pick up a cheap one with a long history. Worked better than all the new ones I had in the drawer put together. 😂😏
Can opener for sure! It's just missing the gear part that would open the can.
yup ,, we still have one those and also a bottle opener too !
Schlitz Beer stopped using steel cans in 1963, so your intact beer can is at least 60 years old! Love your videos!
Old school can opener, love your shows. Be safe happy and healthy.❤😊
Yes, the shiny thing at minute 22 was a manual can opener missing the thing you had to turn to open the can
Just missing the turning key and the gripper wheel 😊
Beer cans from early 60’s. Super cool Tyler, holy crap on the pliers man! Thanks for another awesome video my friend!
21:50 that's an old can opener.
Not so old, well maybe kinda old. I have one like that in my kitchen drawer. I think it came from my dad (may he rest in piece) from back in the 70's when I was a child.
@@roseblite6449 Yeah, we have one in our camper that's been handed down a few times, 70s is probably the right guess.
Wonder if anyone has watched one of your videos and seen something they have lost or throw in. Excellent finds

This video was pretty interesting. You should do more “under the dock” videos. You got some great stuff. Love the enthusiasm and commentary while you film.
@15:45, "500V" means 500 volts. Those are good electrical needle nose pliers.
Loved what you thought was a toe nail clipper is actually an old can opener 😅
The first can opener 10:45 that was usually used to open beer cans, We often called them " A Church key" enjoyed your video.
@mdunn9699
A church key usually was an opener with a hole and a handle that the handle sometimes was flat at the end.
@@TinaBrewer-fe8gj I know what you are talking about. However we used those to open soda bottles. This one was used primarily for cans of beer.
I wonder if those old logging tools are worth anything. I love when you find old antique things. Another great video!
You are literally the sweetest youtuber.
Agreed!!! Been watching him since he started! He's come a loooongg way!!
Ya know Tyler, I was thinking, too bad you don’t somehow work with local environmental agencies in reporting or recording the quagga and zebra mussel densities in regions you magnet fish. It might help them to focus management efforts in some cases.

I love it when you magnet fish by a dock, amazing the things people drop.
Under the dock from the boat is definitely a great way to find cool things. Those cans are so interesting. You will have pliers for any job now.
Awesome finds fisher. You will never be out of a pair of pliers. Lol. And pocket knives. Poor Frankie he lost his home. Love your videos and your humor
@ 21:43 what you found is a briken can opener . The crank piece is missing . For opening your "can of beans" !!!
Speaking about our cutest magnet Fisher, Owen. We all love U guys🥰

Wow!!!!!!! Amazing finds, that log hook is so cool; do they use those pliers to remove fish hooks?🤯 Thank you for the perma-smile, Tyler 💖👍😂
Great logging finds for sure.
At 21:38 the item is an old style can opener.
At 22:02, it is definitely a can opener, but it is missing the turn handle and the opener blade. I use the same opener at home.

That can is awesome. Amazing condition. I love finding old cans

24:47 This is a hand can opener that has fallen apart without the hand crank handle and the rod for the other hand,
21:45 that is the broken remnants of a can opener - it’s missing the turn handle
Looks like the fisher-people
were sitting on the dock drinking beer and cleaning their fish.
Needed the pliers to help debone the fish😆

Schlitz can is in awesome condition. Never heard of the orange drink. That was a broken can opener. Tool heaven by the dock.
Pretty cool, you found the beer can, and the opener they used to drink it. Dont drink and fish.😅
Oh boy here we go!!! Watching now... 💖
It was all from that one guy gettin blitzed on Schlitz and losing all his tools.
🤣
