Looks just like mine I bought when I was 18 year old. I met my future wife while driving my beauty on Christmas night in 1959. I still miss my beautiful Ford Fairlane 500.
One of my favorite cars I was Born in 1955 and by the time I got interested in buying a car I couldn't find one I looked for a 56_ 57_58_59 Ford never could find one so I finally got my hands on a 67 fairlane hard top my second choice I've had it now for 35 years and I love it just wish I could have had a 57 even a wagon would have been nice just saying your car is absolutely beautiful thanks for sharing this with us really awesome
I am from New Brunswick Canada and I had a four-door two-tone dark blue and light blue 1957 Ford with a 292 engine back in 1965 when I was a young guy in my 20's. It was my first car that I paid $400 at that time. Then I had an accident with it after five years of running, so I junked it for parts. I miss that car and the cars of the 1950' and 1960s
The answer to a question that hardly any car buyer had asked, unfortunately. The Skyliners look kind of overweight in the back compared to the regular Fords since they required a bigger space to accommodate the folded-up top. And I'm interested that his car's roof works when he PUSHES the button, since the original TV ads which you can see on RUclips show people PULLING this knob to make the process happen.
The industry of the USA was so advanced at that time and today they have been reduced to being manufacturers of boring cheap and unreliable plastic cars. Toyota at that time manufactured wood weavers and today Toyota dominates the North American market and the world. Toyota today makes the best vans in every aspect and I say it because we have one. Today, the US automotive industry can not even dream of competing with Toyota. Today, any Chinese car is more reliable than a Chrysler. USA what has happened to you?

Don’t care for the fender skirts but I love the car! The air conditioning makes it extra special!
