Jhin is a total package. Unlike most ADC’s where you spam auto attacks, Jhin actually feels more of a poke mage than a regular ADC

@@youraveragegrandma568 except Chogath' R is not up all the time, Nunu's is designed to do true damage to jungle monsters and Kalista can't do shit unless she has hit the monster like x1000 times then use E. With Jhin, by the time you are about to use the 4th shot the dragon or baron are about to die so it is perdectly timed for the ocasion.
Varus can also outdamage smite, so can veigar, kalista, nunu, cho’gath, camille, kayn, qiyana, sett, xayah, zoe, riven and ziggs

I honestly think Jhin is the best champion in the game. Not only is his kit excellent, his character design is pretty much perfect. He’s very tall, asymmetrical, mysterious and a bit unnerving which matches his crazy and unhinged personality. He has a really unique silhouette and body shape which makes his skins unique and stand out (I mean, are there any bad Jhin skins?). His theme, personality and story are also excellent and they really compliment the character really well.
His stories with zed and shen were absolutely amazing
i feel the same way about kled tbh. playstyle / appearance / voicelines match his character/lore so much, but in a completely different way from jhin (jhin is more dark, kled is more lighthearted)
yeah i like how he has a different body type from most league males. sure he's still toned and relatively well built, but he's also far skinnier than most of the (human) male champions, who are generally very buff or are skinny but not scrawny like jhin
I'll be honest, I think both Jhin's esports skins are bad. I don't like esports skins in general because they don't really embody a theme and are just fanservice but it's extra clear here. All Jhin's other skins reinvent the specifics about who he is. He has the same murderous themes every time but with slightly different context (Cowboy killer for hire, powerful cosmic entity etc.)
The effects are also kinda meh and the recalls are out of character and only good if you like the specific team
Also the newer chinese myth inspired Jhin is just a tad less great than the rest IMO, blood moon feels like the better version to me (different inspiration, I know, but still similar)
i think kindreds design is cooler, but yeah hes in my top 5 with champs like kindred, pyke, azir, fiddle

12:46 Making your opponets dance... god I literally never realized until you said that. Jhin's ultimate literally puts his opponets on a STAGE. They have to dance to avoid the projectiles and the only way to avoid it is to run offstage. He really is just a walking performance, and he makes all his victims star in his plays
Its really remarkable how perfect this character is. He also has 4 teammates, in the bot lane are 4 champions. He even has 4 buttons to activate an ability. Some might not be done on purpose but if you really think about its still very funny.
In a recent game. I was playing Sona, We also had a Garen, Vi and Zed on our team. The enemy Jhin quadra killed us with the four shots of his ult..

I love how learning him turns out. You can go from "Wait, im reloading, help me!" to "Okay, I killed you adc with my skills and 3 shoots and I dont plan to waste this 4th bullet, so you can run in my mine field and try to survive" to the enemy support with 1/3 HP and having almost full charge RFC again.
Playing with the food is pretty fun.
If i was supporting a (good) Jhin player, i will help them archiving there Grand Finally ... while enjoying the show.
... i only play Sion support however ... so hopefully it worked out :-D

dude when you make a minefield and go just out of position with the 4th shot to run away and the assassin goes all in on you and runs in your traps. its perfection

The biggest moral conflict is when you did Quadra, and last enemy is running away...On the one hand, the pentakill...on the other hand you have 4!!! and don't want to ruin a perfection

Jhin is just so fair to play agaisnt! Even in late game, where he can delete you in 4th shot, you can do the same to him from his 1st and 3rd shot and when he's reloading!

Id argue he's actually unbalanced full build, but then again, he's a fully build adc. He can quite literally 1 tap anyone who's not a tank or an armor heavy bruiser. And unless that bruiser has a fucktons of dashes, join wins that fight provided he has some distance to put a trap down

@@fashionsuckman4652 sure but most adcs, hell most champions who aren't supports/tanks are able to kill people very quickly at their full build. Jhin has a lot of issues that can be capitalised on, he's basically useless while reloading for a start. He's very immobile and you may say "galeforce" but taking that leaves you vulnerable to being absolutely destroyed without the lifeline of shieldbow and you lose out on the true damage from kraken slayer. Sure jhin still does a lot of damage but against a full armor tank (and if we're going with a fully built jhin as our baseline then I think it's fine to compare him to a fully built tank), he genuinely cannot solo kill a tank if both of them are fully built. His ult doesn't deal much damage unless you're already low, it's pretty easy to move out of the way of his ult shots and his e is really thin.
Jhin late game probably does more damage than any other adc but he's also worse at avoiding damage than any other adc. Every other adc has some kind of protection, ez e, jinx e, twitch q, akshan everything, ashe passive etc while with jhin, if you catch him alone while he's reloading, is free real estate
I play him in wild rift and he was my first marksman bought
I fell in love with his playstyle
He is a methodycal killer, bounded to finish every enemy with perfection
And that is also represented in his gameplay
When he is played well all you will see is just how everything orchestrates perfectly, every ability, auto-attack and movement
A good jhin player knows how to anticipate and get the results he wants,
A good jhin player will always have a reason for his actions, they will not throw the trap at the enemy, they will place it where he is standing or where he could get ambushed from, he will wait his shots to deal most damage and catch the squishy targets first.

I really feel like champion design peaked with Jhin. A good translation of his lore into gameplay, fun mechanics that don't feel toxic, respectable still ceiling and disturbing yet interesting personality.
When playing jhin I always hold my 4th auto on early laning phase. The way my opponents squirm trying to anticipate when I would let go of the fourth shot is always so sweet to watch.
The whole design philosophy with Jhin is just perfect. Everything he does in the game from his theme playing out whenever you start a game to all his monologues and effects throughout his gameplay. It all fits together.
Vars you should make a video on one trick champion. Such as "why is {insert champion} a one trick champ?"
Answer : they have a high skill ceiling/floor or they have a unique playstyle.

@@manuelpadilla1891 Riven, Yasuo, Zed, Lee Sin and Irelia are hard to master and have unique playstyle, but they also are few of the most popular champions in the game.
I think more of champion like Singed, Rengar, Tryndamere, Rek'sai, Azir or Aurelion Sol.

As someone who pretty much only plays champions with lots of mobility and dueling potential (e.g. Yasuo, Irelia, etc.), I have to say that despite Jhin’s lack of things I usually look for in a champion, I still find him incredibly fun and satisfying. I don’t often queue up for bot lane, but when I do, I play either Jhin or Yasuo
Glad to know that my two mains, Jhin and TF are pretty much perfect in design. Makes me feel all giddy inside. I love your vids, and keep it up!
Jhin is my golden boy, the best thing my ex friend could do for me was telling me to try him on a few ARAM games. This sparked a love story like no other. I've played him in every lane and succeeded, and really, you have to plan every move and you become him while the game lasts. He's the best thing that ever happened to me in this game.
I have found, tailored, and thoroughly enjoyed a movement speed focused build and haven’t had a Jhin game I haven’t enjoyed at least a little.

Runes are: Hail, taste, eyeball, relentless or ravenous as preferred (since relentless is out of combat), nimbus, and celerity. The items are: Trinity, berserk, phantom dancer, rapid fire, runaan’s and mortal. You can also mod it with dead mans, force of nature, or wit’s if you want some defensive but still fast options

I think the best part of Jhin is he's as fun to play against as he is to play. When you see an enemy jhin you can't autopilot. You have to keep focused to understand his moves
This video sounds more like a why everyone plays which just shows how u can have a super popular AND perfectly designed / balanced champion, riot should go back to less flashy but dinner and consistent champions like jhin

That #4 point you said is right as an Adc main myself. Jhin's gameplay is his main weakness since you gotta think about your shots and your traps to back you up. Planning his entire gameplay is also his strength because if you time your core components (which is 4th things in his skill), you'll be able to maximize his kit to its fullest potential
I love the FF music to really show off Jhin’s beautiful concert.
Another thing that is so perfect about Jhin's character design is his whole obsession with the number 4. the number 4 in Chinese culture is considered unlucky because in Chinese, the number 4：四 (si), sounds a lot like the Chinese word for death: 死(si). A number associated with death... perfect for a marksman obsessed with killing his victims perfectly.

Mr Jhin here is quite literally "The Phantom of the Opera", which works so well. The "masked serial killer" is such an amazing character. Anyone who has seen Legend of Korra can see that Amon is basically another version of Jhin.

I really wanna watch this now lol. When I first saw jhin I fell in love with his character and gameplay. And when I watched a vid about his lore, it made me enjoy the character more.

I love those types of champions, that absolutely P E R F E C T L Y fit their lore while being good designs to the point they don't need abilities changes, just occasional number tweaks.
Ya know, Bard, Thresh, Draven (I know, the players are not always friendly and the champ is not always fun to play against), Jhin (of course he deserves the 4th place), Braum, and hopefully champions to come
Even the fact that all of his abilities can be narrowly escaped adds to the drama of his gameplay. The killer's victim just barely avoiding the killing blow is a common trope, whether they then fall to a different trap later or turn into the hero who brings him down.

He might be my favourite character of all time, like, ever. From every game, movie or book.
It's mainly because I agree with very much of what he says, except for the killing of course. He's just passionate about art, that art being killing people, but if you look at it that way, almost everyone can relate to him. Every single time I escape reality with one of my passions, may it be playing the guitar, piano, playing videogames, listening to music, or watching Formula 1, one of Jhin's lines always comes to my mind. "There's nothing for me, but this..."

The best way I can describe Jhin gameplay is that you need a masterplan before you engage, and that's generally ideal when playing any champion, but Jhin forces you to think, or else you're getting clapped, so in login my cogs are moving, thinking of how the weaknesses I have will be employed by the jungler so I can counter them, where to place my traps, how to set up my root, when to engage, and then FOUR! it's incredible how I've been playing this champion for six years and my fascination and love for him is exactly like it was the first day I found out about him.
Idk man i think i learned how to preform with jhin better after watching this video cuz I've never seen guides or coaches explain and simplify jhin the way you did props to u my man
the only grip i have as an adc main is that when jhin is strong hes literally the most oppressive laner as he never really all ins, like you said he sets up the board with conditioning and poke/short trades. It only feels bad because he dose all his dmg super quick and has a fast Time To Kill(ttk) so early for an adc its like playing against a draven with mechanics*
A Senna main specific gripe: He singlehandedly got all Lethality items nerf nuked for ranged characters and then just rerolled to Galeforce being just as strong, if not stronger than before resulting in Senna having no real ideal mythic options save the few weeks Guinsoo was overperforming.
Why am I not suprised.

Another Perfectly design because she's the most "fair" assassin and with a lot more of counterplay than most stealth champions. I don't know how to say it because my english is bad but it seems you like Evelynn so you might know better than me what I'm saying.
@@carnivorze1052 I agree too. She's fair in a sense where in order to land her charm, you need to wait for a bit, you need to position yourself so you won't be seen by others, and she has extremely good burst, and its balanced by making her ult as her only escape tool, and so much more.

@@carnivorze1052 Well, he hates Evelynn so i don´t think she´s getting a perfectly designed. Also, she´s far from the most fair assassin imo, all she does is come up behind you with a point and click cc from stealth because her q recasts can still charm you even if she misses Q1. And dropping pinks is basically giving her 75 free gold since if you go to protect it she´ll just outduel you with her insane damage and charm, and probably your lane opponment will go to her aid as well.
@@zandromex8985 her w need charge-up time which can be played around and it essentially give away here whereabouts when it ends and her stealth is not that bad considering we don’t usually (and are not supposed to, if the jungler is good) know where the jungers are anyway

Jhin was probably the first adc i've ever mained, because as you said Vars everything is perfect in him; designwise, characterwise, lorewise, gameplaywise. He feels rewarding to play and managing to kill with him, because you earn every kill you take, as you said aigain, you work for those kills.
And to add some love on him I just love taking my sweet time with his ult just to get inside the head of my victims.. Long breath.. first shot slowed, another breath, second shot he's getting scared.. third shot miss juste for the fun of it.. the last breathe... and the forth shot to finish him in the most glorious way in this world!

I completely agree with your point that Jhin is a respectable opponent. In my experience, when there is a good Jhin player on the enemy team, you *feel* the massive power difference. Yet when I face something like Samira, I literally cannot tell whether they are a first time ADC or a Samira OTP because regardless, they will heal to max health under one second while being under the effect of ignite.

Magna Insomnia is just a chef kissed theme. It was Ardyn's boss theme so yeah it fit when they're both good villains. Kudos to Yoko Shimamura tho for giving us this theme like a possessed woman.

Reason why we love Jhin more than Kaisa is that Jhin fits his character perfectly while Kaisa survived the Void by being beautiful than everyone else. So the spandex creature was like "Make me your clothes." Not only that, when you don't want to fight Jhin you just have to dodge his 5 skillshots, his W, and his ult, if he has it. If you try to run away from Kaisa she has a point and click ult to get her there, a movespeed/invisibility skill that lowers cd for every attack, and all she has to do is land her W, get attacked by her which is very likely or for you to get cc'd by her team. And not only that, when Jhin fires his 4th bullet, he has to reload, whil this waifu from the void just keeps attacking you and keep shredding your health. What is it like 15% missing health for every 5 auto attacks? Jhin has 25% missing health. And he has to reload. And he can't scale it unlike Kaisa who can build ap to make it scale. And not only that, Jhin, while he has many builds, only center around AD. While Kaisa scales off everything. And she even evolves into a stage 4 tumor. Like bro you nerfed Aurelion Sol for having stars that make him unable to hide, nerfed Kalista that she only builds on hit because her ad scaling sucks, nerfed Tahm Kench which honestly he is still quite good but still. And this girl can just fucking eape everyone just because she belongs in a kpop group?
I hate all the new marks man very much, like why did you give a adc the power of Riven that can dive into teams when their job is to stay save, everytime I encountered them the only fun is to focus them and kill them everytime they showed up on the map, like how is it healthy for the game Riot?

Tristana, Vayne, Ezreal, Jhin(before I had Jinx and Xayah on the forth position but now they are more like my back burner champs for when I have all my picks banned/picked)
I got hyped when Ardyn's theme played from the start.
Jhin feels balanced and well designed. Only 3 times he felt overpowered was mostly because of busted items. Deathfire touch + old duskblade add so much damage that he could one shot adc later with auto Q. The rageblade meta where he gets 1700+ ad because of the multiplier recursively stacking on him. The preseason 11 lethality + crit hybrid build was really, really strong for him, lead to his ratio nerfs. Other that that, jhin is really the star child of august. Well designed, original, and lack of dash really gives a breath of fresh life compared to recent releases.

You cannot hate a Jhin player, both on your team and enemy team.
Your team on the rare occation he falls behind he can still contribute with long range attacks, slows and roots.
And on the enemy team you know it is the player who is good at the game and not just the champion being busted, when he beats you down.

I'm never gonna get tired of saying this: jhin is perfectly designed until he deletes you with the 4th bullet and 0 counterplay.
With the rise of many abilities which destroy projectiles ( braum e, Samira w, Gwen w) and many stasis / immortality effects ( zhonyas / stopatch , kindred r, bard r ) and dashes / flash being able to dodge it I would say there is counterplay in almost all champions while also being quite powerful and having lots of macro and micro skills integrated it's one of the best designed ultimates

@@Star156zac ah yes, 'cause autoattacks had limited ranged where if the enemy throws one, it stops following you. And scape from jhin with the movement speed he gain after a crit is so easy, everyone can do that. Dude, don't get me wrong, i like jhin, the adc that i hate is vayne, but jhin has some features that doesn't make him to fair to play againts him. It's not like aatrox where he scream at you "i'm gonna hit this area" or "you better get out of my W fast" (and if he's healing too mucho just buy GW).
@@facundolucianogomezcena5801 as an Ashe main, I hate him. Harder lane bully than MF, and hard to catch with the braindead MS he gets from crits. He can basicaly zone you off really easily and get free poke, has a really smooth laning phase, and outburst everyone excepts tristana, a decent lucian, and kai'sa with passive + isolated Q

At first when I watched your Perfectly Designed series, I wished that you'd make a video on Nami, but then I realised that just because she's probably the most balanced in the game, she might not necessarily be perfectly designed. Still, I love this series, so perhaps I'm wrong and you'll make a video on her at some point!
