Why?!? Why, in 2024, are our schools, filled with our children, still, STILL!!!, such easy targets for gun violence? Government buildings, airports and other places have so much more beefed up security measures since 9/11, why, WHY, have our schools not been secured to that same level since Columbine in 1999? Protect our innocent, vulnerable children NOW!

Schools here have actual law enforcement officers in them, some have two officers per school (depending on various things). My area hasn't had a single incident at our schools in the past 10 years. The major problem here is bullying. Although NJ is more difficult to get a firearm in. The violence is going to go up tho with defunding the police, lack of rehabilitation measures, mental health awareness, community engagement, proper communication, and the federal / state govt not providing support to local communities. It is a huge issue that will take a very long time to fix, if it ever does. The answer isn't banning firearms, it is helping and listening to our people.
