  • You may be familiar with Corrie Ten Boom and her book "The Hiding Place," a Christian classic that masterfully covers the issue of suffering. Her family was caught hiding Jews during the Holocaust and sent to a concentration camp where they experienced unimaginable horrors.
By the grace of God, Corrie was eventually released from the concentration camp due to a clerical error. Although difficult to see in the moment, with time, she gradually realized that this season of pain had brought her to a place spiritually that she never would have reached otherwise.
Stay tuned until next week when we will unpack some of the lessons we can learn from her incredible testimony.

I read Corrie's book a few years ago. Her and her sister were brave, humble and beautiful women of God.
I absolutely recommend you reading this book!

I got the impression that what she told was highly embellished to put it mildly. Her arrest was connected to being part of a rationing scam. I hope not too many people had to suffer due to this.

Everyone should read the book, especially the chapter where Corrie writes about not wanting to see her dead sister but finally agreed to do so. Betsy had been devoured by disease and starvation but somehow her dead body was radiant with BEAUTY! Corrie was greatly encouraged by this obvious miracle. God is good!

Thank you so much for this wonderful program on Corrie Ten Boom. "The Hiding Place" is a Must-Read. The movie is also a Must-See. I love the fact that you've been highlighting these amazing saints of God from Eric Liddell to Amy Carmichael to Corrie Ten Boom. They all lived radical lives for Jesus Christ. May we be inspired and encouraged by their lives for such a time as this.

If you are going to talk about the ten Booms, get it right. Her sister’s name was Betsy, not Bessie.

Ummmm, I have been to the tenBoom house Corries sister name is Betsie. Also her Papa told her that her Heavenly Father would bear the heavy burdens for her, not her earthly Father. You should have done better research.
