I get up under the birds like that but it's speckled trout not tuna. Once I got under the birds in a feeding frenzy like that and it was Spanish Mackrel. My favorite. Almost forgot. Got in a feeding frenzy of blackfin tuna off of Venice, La. Rather have the Spanish.
You had some really cool shots, especially the outside view of you traveling in the helicopter, that was crazy! I had another curious question about tuna in general. The meat is so red, is it red because of all the blood, or is it just the normal color of tuna meat? How do you know when it's bled out completely or not?
