I should have watched this video before I bought one 😅 You're totally right! I got the red one and the color looks patchy as all heck. I love the soft blur look, if it wouldn’t settle into your lip lines and make you look crazy 😩 I did like the lack of transfer, like if i kissed my hand, it didnt get on it, but thats about the only plus 😬
I think the keyword was “sheer”. They all looked decent when it was more sheer than built up. Either way, I just don’t look good with matte lipsticks anymore. Plus, the colors are not right for me. I’ll pass on these.
Hi lovely! This is definitely been my least favorite purchase of the year so far. I literally had to push the lipstick into my lips multiple times to get a few coats on. So bad! The other huge flaw is that it barely lasts. Oh well..back to my beloved favorites
These remind me of AOA studio venetian romance lipsticks, I have that one in shade Folly and I love it’s colour BUT, it gets super patchy but feels like I have nothing on my lips similar to powder I guess
I bought Homecoming Queen and love it. Instead of swiping it I stamp it on and get a beautiful blurred flush. I do have dry lines lips. I might just have lucked out by buying one of the colors that works. Thinking of trying I’m shy.
Great review! I usually love wet n wild. But when it comes to lipsticks I steer clear of the word sheer. I like to hear the word pigmented LOL. Balms and glosses and oils can be sheer but not lipsticks IMO.
I think the problem might be the base of each color and not so much the ingredients. White-based lipsticks tend to look awful regardless, it makes sense that the darker colors look better. I probably will give these a try, I like the staining aspect, but at least now I know which colors to steer clear of.
I remember the Maybelline Blurs, and I liked those.I bought the light shade of these and had to pull on my lips just to get a little color payoff.I thought I just got a bad one,but seems like they vary in text ure.
Found this video because a friend gifted me one of these lipsticks from her PR box…. It was apricot smoothie and yes! I experienced all the same issues!! I love the concept of blurred matte lip but this one wasn’t it- now I’m curious about the shades that worked for you…. Maybe I’ll put my CVS rewards & coupons to work to try another one!😁
I wear matte lipsticks pretty much every single day because even though glossy ones feel nicer I hate how super shiny they are 😅 What I personally do to help not make it look super drying on my lips is that I apply my EOS “birthday cake” chapstick from the beginning before even applying my everyday skincare routine (it’s what I’ve been using recently, I’ve tried other brand chapsticks) and I leave it for the rest of my makeup routine because lipstick is what I apply last. It has personally worked for me and my lips do not ever look dry. 🥰

One other video the woman applied it and she didn’t comment on how drying it was at all actually, just how it had a bit of shimmer to them. I do know that overtime the formula for makeup products do change and all, so perhaps it might be different when I try it. I definitely will for sure let you know how it goes once I get my hands on it. I plan to buy “I’m shy” because it looks like the better shade for my complexion. 😊 Will get back to you soon!

It feels very moisturizing considering it’s meant to be a soft matte and I actually waited even longer where my chapstick had gone off naturally from my lips before even applying the lipstick. I really love the color though! I would say it’s actually my lips but better. Lol I do want to say that I’ve never exfoliated my lips ever 😅 I do put on a lip mask every single night though. So my conclusion is that it works perfectly fine for me. 🤷🏻♀️ I have tried other lipsticks that were matte and looked absolutely horrible and felt so bad, but I don’t think I would categorize this one as such. To be fair the first 3 lighter shades I would never ever wear because it would clash so bad with my complexion I stay far away from those shades for myself personally with any lipstick brand lol

There are matte formulas I really like that smooth over lines well but this one wasn't it lol
I just really don't like those colors. I think we can definitely do better than this. Thx for the demo so we can save our bucks!
The other thing is the colors may look different depending on your natural lip color as well, since they stay looking relatively sheer!
