- My box of the new Wet n Wild Megalast Lipsticks finally showed up, so I'm giving you a MEGA SWATCH video! I'll be doing lip swatches of the Megalast High-Shine and Megalast Matte lipsticks-- 26 shades total! These are quite possibly some of the best drugstore bullet lipsticks of 2020, but you'll want to hear my review first so you know exactly what to expect. Thank you for these swatches. I love your swatch videos mainly because we have the same skin tone and dark hair! It makes your content perfect for me and my wallet, haha! With the WNW lipsticks poking out, there was more pressure to only buy the shades I would love and easily wear down the bullet into the tube 😅
Like them both. Price is incredible and color is exactly what you see . I pair them with lip liner and gloss and enjoy them.

First and foremost, your review was excellent and informative. I really love these lipsticks, which surprised the heck out of me. I ended up really liking Raining Rubies, Wine Room, and Rose and Slay (although I have most of the colors now).

I definitely feel like the mega shine reds were pinker than red, though it's also possible your undertone affected that. I usually have the same issues as well with some reds as I have a warm/yellow undertone to my skin, too.
That's true, that could haveaffected it but I definitely wanted a strong blue based red out of the high shines!!

I agree with you that none of those colors look truly red or saturated. In the shiny formula Rose and Slay it is indescribably gorgeous. I love the style of the white tubes but it is very annoying that it doesn't retract for the very reasons you explained. However at that price with this gorgeous of a color I will be buying Rose and slay over and over again. Thanks for such a great review.

Oh yeah, the wnw lipsticks are great, and sooo affordable. The mattes do dry out after a year or so & you have to declutter, but they’re only $3, so you can repurchase pretty easily!!
Apparently this is a new tweaked formula (as opposed to their older older lipsticks) so I’m curious with all the new moisturizing ingredients if they will still dry out that quickly!!

I liked both lipstick lines. Darker shades look better on me than the lighter ones - plus I prefer a bold lip. In the mattes, I liked the red one and the cinnamon spice. In the high shine, i liked jam with me and sangria. I agree, in that line there are no real reds! Thanks for this video. Love the eye look as well!

Thank you so much for your great review and swatches. ❤️I have hundrets of lipsticks and i had to stop buying staff...but then i saw this lipsticks on the internet and wanted to buy it with a bad feeling since i wanted to stop with shopping make up products while having all kind of lipsticks in my cupboard. However i wanted to buy two colours but when i saw your video i ve realized that both colour are not what i have expected and also that its not matt matt. I removed the two lipsticks from my order :) why i share my story is that i am sure that i am not the only girl in this world who keeps buying make up and you end up spending money (doenst matter if its only 2 dollars but when you have 50 of them its another price) and thats why its important that youtuber like you share their experience and honest review. I know that this lipsticks are great but if you imagined somethibg else you should not buy it otherwise you will be disappointed and think oh no this is what i already have in my collection :)

These were actually launched long back in India. The High shine 'Mad for Mauve' is really flattered shade and the 'Bare it All' in Matte (actually creamy matte) finish is my everyday nude. 💗
Loved your honest and fully explained reviews. 😊❣️I agree with you that the high shine lipsticks don't have that proper red tones, they seem more pinkish.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to think so-- I would have really loved a glossy blue based red shade!! I LOVE the shiny mad for mauve--- the matte mauve is a bit purple leaning

What lipstick and color do you have in the start of this video?
I do love these affordable lipsticks despite the packaging flaws as I don't wear lipsticks every day only on special occasions. I love the formula, they're comfortable and the pigments are great but the high shine ones can break in the tubes easily because it's such a moisturizing formula. Just be careful when applying them.

So I just thought I'd let you girls and guys know despite the name of the product (megalast matte) the website does say this is a semi-matte lipstick. That's why it's pulling that slightly glossed finish. I thought it was matte, matte too. Still so pretty tho eh?

I really wish the high shine colors had different base tones. Not a pink-berry girl. As for the matte lipsticks, I like all four of the deepest shades. I would like to see the nudes in store because I like more of a neutral nude.

These are old school lipsticks and when they first came out, some people loved their long lasting ability while others hated the dryness. I kind of think these lipsticks were the catalyst for other brands to create a long lasting matte lipstick. I don’t think wet n wild set out to make a matte lipstick because these were never called matte until a few years ago. I think they originally set out to make an inexpensive long lasting pigmented lipstick and people loved them so much that other brands took notice and rebranded the finish as matte. The old packaging sucked too. JMO LOL.
Yeah the old packaging was suuuper cheapie. I'm loving the new formula though!! Definitely less waxy than the original!
I own peach please and I find the glossy formula lipsticks tend to break very easily.

Covergirl or Megalast?
Depends-- Covergirl Exhibitionist Ultra matte are more of a flat matte finish (true matte). These mattes stay a little bit more satin!
