    That was brutal! It took me three tries to beat Venom Goblin, and then just barely. As much as I enjoy watching you navigate these scenarios with "relative ease", it is encouraging to know that I am not alone in getting pummelled. Still enjoyable to watch. Hopefully we will get a chance to see you give it another go.

      @Jonathan Weeks Maybe my 3rd time will be a charm. I played another after this one with the same decks, same end result, but I went into the second version a little better ... but still not good enough. Currently playing through with another person. I've improved my Ghost-Spider deck, and Troy has a better Miles deck built. First 3 went really smooth. We'll see how the next 2 go. :)

    Great gameplay, and yes venom goblin gave us lots of trouble too. Took us about 4 or 5 attempts to actually win, and that’s only standard! One ruling clarification I wanted to point out though. For the attachment “We Are One,” you must pay one of each “printed” resource, so you wouldn’t have been able to use web shooters to discard the attachment. That card sucked a lot for us too, and the requirement of one of each printed resources made it even worse. Love all your videos, looking forward to seeing you win this scenario some time in the future.

    GGs! I think at 14:48 when you killed the minion the last Public Outcry counter should have been removed, maybe woulda given you another turn or 2 but not 100% sure. There is so much to keep track of especially if u play solo 2 handed, my brother an I always forget to do stuff like adding threat to schemes at beginning of the villain phase >.< often we will remember while its attacking

    Great video as always!
    Unfortunately I did not much enjoy this scenario. Got major Ronan vibes from it.
    Played 2 player with my partner, he had the extra glider upgrade encounter card when we took him to level 2, so had 6 encounter cards to start snd with all the surges and extra activations he ended up activating 8 times in a single phase. It was just way too much.

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  2 года назад +1

      @Pjflan2 My second attempt didn't get much better ... I just went into the 2nd version a bit better, but like you equipment got to be too much to deal with. Seems to need a very specific deck build to deal with and/or some luck in encounter card draws. But I only have 2 plays, and I'll be the first to say both my Miles and Gwen decks could have been better constructed. Should get a 3rd attempt soon with another player in the next week or two depending on how our weekends turn out. :)

      you probably forgot his steady ability and forgot to resolve his special every times he attack and scheme during encounter treachery phases.
      sometimes you can get lucky and not draw the glider card which allows the green goblin to activate twice per turn doubling the threat generation as well. and miles attack card is only 2 cost so you will need 2 attack cards discarded to remove it. that is super costly while not affording to remove it is even more devastating.

    • @panda5996
      @panda5996 Год назад

      27:32
      imagine if he'd drawn the glider right there. he has no way to deal with it in both hands and 4 activations + a boost attachment coming up next round without stuns on the goblin can turn the game around. RNG is the name of the game :D

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  2 года назад

      @Timothy Frontino Thanks for watching! For cards getting shuffled I use Dragon Shield clear matte sleeves, and then for the character identity card, main villain card, and main schemes I use FFG sleeves (basically any premium sleeve that is clear on both sides). The Dragon Shield clear matte sleeves are "blurry" on one side, so not the best for dual sided cards but I love the way they feel. Hope that helps, and happy gaming!! :)

  • @SubotaiGaidon
    @SubotaiGaidon 2 года назад +1

    My first game against Venom Goblin was pretty similar to yours ;) I don't think you stand a chance against him with your decks, especially protection for Gwen. I used aggression for her and leadership for Miles.
    I think the worst one can do is to put threat on the schemes in the first stage of Venom Goblin, because threat is piling up very quickly and you have almost no chance to remove tons of threat.
    What I did during my second play: I never put the additional threat on the schemes, instead I took the second option. And I played it very aggressively to finish the game as fast as possible. It worked but it was hard ;)
    But it is the last scenario of a campaign, it should be challenging and it is. But it's doable, not like Ronan ;)
    Hope to see a rematch soon :)

      @SubotaiGaidon I tried once more with the same deck, went into the 2nd version better off, but Surge and equipment cards ended in the same result. I feel like rushing is probably the best option. :)

    Took us 4 attempts. We ended up switching Miles to aggression (to handle the glider which came out EVERY game for us) and Ghost to justice for threat management. I don’t think you can prevail using the justice / protection setup, but that’s my opinion

      I played this about a month ago, and had other games that needed some attention and moved towards those ... and now I'm expecting two new heroes early next week, so doubtful to have a rematch. I was able to get a win in my play with Troy, the other guy I play Champions with all the time. So I'm good. :)

    @GoGoReacts 2 года назад +1

    Three tries so far to no avail. He's not as demoralizing as Ronan but it's close. Great effort, Dale. Is this the first time you have posted a loss on your channel? 😂 Btw, at 23:30 when you killed that Thrall you should have removed the last threat on Public Outry.
    Who's been the most fun villain in this expansion? My pick is either the S6 or Mysterio. I loved the thematics.

    • @DaletheCasualGamer
      @DaletheCasualGamer  2 года назад

      @GoGo Reacts Pretty nasty for sure! I've got several losses posted, they happen. I like the Sinister Six best. For me, much like the Collector scenarios, I think these are neat mechanically and the different way you need to play to address a villain with indirect damage, or the amount of boosts, or encounter cards shuffled in your deck, but not sure they will stick in my regular rotation as much as the original set and Red Skull. Time will tell. :)

    Can you actually get rid of the We Are One attachment with a wild resource? It specifically says printed resource, i’ve always played that wild resources don’t count, as the “printed” resource isn’t correct. I’m curious as to how others played it. Regardless, it didn’t matter, he is an brutal villain. I’m scheduled to face him with my group for the first time this week.

    Them folks in Public Outcry have been at it all campaign. Settle down, heroes at work here.
    Not that it would have mattered but have Silk dump Advance over SotP because there are two of’ em and the scenario pitches a lot of scheme. Those UberStax trays earned their keep.

    I won this scenario with Miles (Justice) and Gwen (Protection) in first attempt.
    Spoilers:
    I had in her deck different defense events (Expert Defense and Never Back Down - 1/2 stun sometimes or you may add Desperate Defence for double defense and ready to protect MIles also).
    I was always defending so my defense was +6 (+5) and I had SHIELD upgrade which allowed me to discard 1 card to protect 1 damage (this darts are rubbish ;)).
    I removed other defense cards because they depend I got dmg or not. So I took almost no damage on her. DAD is important for her to keep defense / attack events on steady.
    I think Moxie was not good chooise, I add Skilled Strike to have interrupt when she was attacking for 0. In my games she is using her ability in each turn thanks to this 0 event. In my opinion she must use her ability all the time. For her very good ally is this Voodoo guy which allow her to search for event. So She is atacking for 4 -> ready atacking for 2 -> sometimes one of her event i.e. +5 thw. when I had economy for that but I find them to expensive to have only them. I find enchansed reflexes is very good card for her especially with grey doublers and other resource cards: her gauntlets and Unflappable. She was my attacking character and I almost never flip to other side with her (only to shuffle ticket). And Spider-Man PP - this is op card and you may have event to bring him back from trash for 2. Peter give you +2 thw / attack and ready her!
    For Miles (justice) you need +1 thw card on him and he must thw as crazy. Especially with his card to flip + ready him -> unflip -> thw again. And 1/2 stun with his ability to keep Goblin stunned or thw from his event. I was focusing on thw to keep low level of threat on schemes and dmg almost only from Gwen.
    Main card which helped me a lot was One Way or Another - it gave Miles cards for ally and events. And you may always bring Cat on a tree ;)
    Removing this upgrade which is giving Goblin overkill is most important.
