For everyone that wants to have him react to something: Its not often Lano picks up stuff from the comments, since he loses track of it in the middle of all the stuff he does So it is reccomended that you all leave your reaction requests on Discord or link them to me, so I can properly remind him. Its important to note also, that unless directly linked to me under this comment, I wont go out of my way to catch the links to remind Lano.
Ehy lano, since you have finished with the 3d touhou stuff, here, this is the link of the first animation of touhou and undertale that you wanted to check out ruclips.net/video/HTKCtyD8kBY/видео.html
I'd like you to pass along that as a new player, I don't think Touhou 7 is the right game for Lano to start with. It's relatively difficult on the lower settings, and the lategame bosses use quite complicated and un-intuitive patterns. I think he should give Touhou 8 - Imperishable Night a shot. Plus, you can play as Yukari in that game~
Tip: the red boxes are the ones that power you up, while the blue ones give you more score. If you collect enough of the pink boxes, you get a temporary shield
There are some settings you might want to check out and see if you want to change them. First, the BGM setting, there are two choices: Wav and Midi, you're currently in Midi node. I've heard that the Midi version is created to help the game run smoother on older PCs since it demands lesser computing power and the Wav option is the default choice (since newer games no longer has the Midi option). The second thing is the slow mode, it's currently on. When it's on, it will slightly reduce the fps of the game when there are a lot of bullets on screen to make the game become easier. But it can make the game's speed feels inconsistent at times. You may want to try turning it off and see how you like it. Anyway, I think you did pretty well for your first time. I'll be looking forward to your next Touhou video.
Ah, tested it out and my god it sounds so much better xDD Thanks for telling me about that c: Then I understand, gonna try out to turn it off. Honestly surprised the game of that age have so many things to improve the performance like that! ovo And thank you! Used all my experience to survive for so long! xD
Congrats on getting as far as you did. Honestly you’ve done really well for a beginner. You’re not afraid to use bombs when you need to and you have been using focus as well (the thing were your shot and bomb changes and you slow down). And yeah, the weird magic circle that appears around you every now and then functions as a bomb that activates when you’re hit, however if you survive for the whole duration of the circle you’ll get bonus points to your score. A quick little rundown of the items on the game: The blue ones are for increasing your score The red P increases your power, meaning your attack spread gets wider (at least as Sakuya) and you fire more. The pink ones fill a gauge at the bottom left of the screen that when full gives you the magic circle shield.
Ah, survive on experience and reflexes from past games xD And felt that if Im gonna die anways then its better to use the bombs and get it well used! c: Ohh, so gets extra points? That sounds pretty nice indeed! : O And thank you for the rundown on the items! c:
I'm just into the first 3 minutes and loving the reactions already. Sorry Lano I don't mean that to make fun, it's just that yeah when you start out on Touhou this is the start experience, don't worry you'll get to know the shot types and get adjusted to which character is the one for you Edit 1: Congrats on Capturing your first spell card
Hi again! This was A VERY GOOD first try! There some tips: When you in focused Mode you can see your hitbox(Red dot on your character). Supernatural barrier prevents one hit(if it still active) or if you will try to use your bomb it'll just clear the screen. If you want to beat the game pretty soon you can change your lives from 3 to 5 in settings. Also music in your game is midi version. If you want to hear True Touhou music, then you can change it from midi to wav. About characters: Letty Whiterock: She is winter Youkai, and because of that everyone thinks that she is mastermind behind this incident(in the begining). Chen: Yes, she is with Yukari, but she is her family(kinda). Yukari has her shikagami Ran, and Ran has her own shikagami - Chen. So for Yukari she is shikigami's shikigami. But she more thinking about her as a pet. Alice Margatroid- in Touhou 5 MS she was witch of death(well she was very young and Touhous 1-5 not very canonical anymore), but in Touhou 7 she is Seven-Coloured Puppeteper. She can manipulate dozens of dolls at once(in her fight it wasn't fairies, but dolls). Prismriver sisters(Lunasa, Merlin and Lyrica). They are three poltergeist sisters, which formed popular band in Gensokyo. Older Sister Lunasa have a violin. When she is playing everyone, who listens her will become very sad or even have a depression. She is leader of the band(because she oldest). Middle Sister Merlin have a trumpet. When she is playing everyone, who listens her will become very happy, but better to not listen her for too long or you will start to loose your mind. And third Sister Lyrica have a piano. She can Play ghost notes. Only she can Play this notes, because this notes, just doesn't exist. She can't affect people, like sisters, but if she playing with her sisters all effects from their music balanced(so their music doesn't cause any effects). Youmu Konpaku - half-phantom. She have two swords: with Rounkanken she can kill even ghosts. With Hakurouken she can slice through people's confusion. Also she can move VERY fast. In the time slows, because she is moving too fast(even in slow mode she is very and very fast). Well I guess that all I got. I hope it'll help!
Thank you Frezzing! : D Oh thanks for the input, lots of things for me to learn indeed ovo Amazed how much there is! xDD And gosh thanks for explaining about the characters! Very interesting to read. ovo All seems pretty crazy on their own for sure! But fun to learn more of them. Thanks for it Frezzing : D
Well, you sure got farther then I did on my few first tries. Also, you got a pre-compiled game, so it technically was already beat, hence the replays. Usually Extra stages are locked till first completion. A bit more practice and you should be able to make it to Prismrivers without using bombs.
Ohhh, I see! That explains the high scores in it! ovo Had no idea it was already played so OTL Ah, gonna try to see if I can get that far, cause haly damn, it was bonkers! xD
In the fandom, and in fanmade creations, Alice Margatroid is often depicted as a crazy stalker of Marisa Kirsame, she is often depicted as being murderously possessive. Just thought I'd let y'know. At the same time, she is also depicted as a 'straight man', one of the reasons for her constant pairing with Marisa in the fandom, who is depicted as a kleptomaniac and a goof. The fandom really enjoys exaggerating character traits. Also, these voices... Amazing. Definitely on point to the voices used in the anime adaptations.
Eh, I like my Touhou level-headed and serious, rather than fandom-crazy. I mean, Aya and Momiji don't even like each other much, to put it lightly, and fandom put their dynamic upside down and then some. >-->"
Glad you are using Shift ! most new players forget that exists and it's super useful to dodge. The music in the game for some reason is switched to MIDI instead of WAV, so it sounds simplistic, you can change that in the game menu.
Ah, was a bit weird to use in the beginning, but in the end it became rather natural to use shift! ovo Oh, had no idea! Gosh, thank you for telling me, made it sound so much better xDD
May I introduce you to our lord and savior, the Shift button? Yeah, trying Lunatic and Extra/Phantasm when you're not aware of what that does is not gonna go well for you. Extra and Phantasm aren't even supposed to be unlocked until you beat the game without continuing. Coming from someone who actually beat those stages, you need a LOT of memorization and practice to tackle any Extra mode since they're difficult. A screen full of bullets can look intimidating at first, but concentrating on just the area around you will make it a lot easier. Of course, occasionally glancing at the full screen is good to check for incoming attacks. Your hitbox is visible with Shift so use that for precise dodging in tight spaces. Bullets also have their own hitboxes. The bigger they are, the more leeway they tend to give you around the edges. For example, the bubbles at 27:50 have visible white edges that you can pass through. I went into the character backgrounds, but forgot to talk about their playstyles. The selections for each character are shot types. Reimu is balanced and best for beginners because of her small hitbox and homing bullets. Marisa is faster and does more damage, but has less range so she's best for people with a little more experience. Other playable characters vary from game to game.
Praise thy shift! xD Haha I never expected to get far on the Lunatic and Extra thing, I just wanted to see how mad it was and mad it was indeed : D And from what I understand reading comments, the version I got is one with already beaten game. Had no idea about that : o Ah, learned now that I do have a white dot as an hitbox rofl, never thought on it when using shift, I was panic through most of this all xDD And I see, that is pretty neat though, like the options of different styles like that. : D Thanks for explaining it Chimera!
Hey Lano, I have a little info dump about Alice for you: Alice Margatroid is a youkai (formerly human) magician known primarily for her skillful use of dolls as well as being a loner. Her origin is mostly unknown but you first met her in the game Mystic Square when the player travel to Makai (A.K.A Hell or a similiar place) and later on found out that she had the title of "Girl of Death" and is the adopted daughter of Shinki the ruler and creator of Makai. Dominating the enemy with overwhelming power is not fun at all for Alice, so she always sees her opponent's reaction and tries to fight with power that exceeds the opponent by a hair (basically her power level is alway slightly above her opponent most of the time). Even if she loses, she doesn't show her full power. That's because she thinks it would be the end of the rope for her if she lost with full power. In this point, she is somewhat similar to Reimu but unlike Reimu she generally avoids those stronger than her, as shown in Immaterial and Missing Power. Her personality is anti-social and indifferent towards others but she has been known to help people out. Fun fact: In this game, she did not have any special reason to fight the heroine (you, the player), and it was only because she was there by chance that she became an opponent. Here is the Touhou Wiki link if you want to read more about her: touhou.fandom.com/wiki/Alice_Margatroid.
Hey Shiori! And thank you for the info dump : D Really interesting to read, Alice seems really strong and yet respectful! Sure she doesnt go full out but at least gives her opponents a chance and then dont go full bonkers when about to lose, so respect to that! c: So thank you for sharing this, gonna read on the wiki too : D
Tch. You took the advice of most of the fandom and started with Perfect Cherry Blossom. That’s a bad choice. I’d suggest Ten Desires or Imperishable Night. Their the more easier games. The Cherry Border is abusable which is why most people choose that as a beginner game. And I’ll give you my opinion on each character. Reimu Hakurei- Pretty Slow, her hitbox is the smallest which makes her easier. Her attacks tend to home in so you can focus more on dodging than attacking directly. Marisa Kirisame- very fast. And very Powerful. But her Hitbox is THICC AF. Her attacks are very powerful but it’s very concentrated so you have to focus more on attacking. Sakuya Izayoi- She’s somewhere in between Reimu and Marisa in terms of speed and power. Her hitbox isn’t that big but isn’t that small either. Her attacks are widespread so you can hit your enemies from wherever. I’m not sure why you tried this first. I’m pretty sure people suggested this.
IN (Touhou 8) or LLS (Touhou 4) on easy is probably the easiest of any modes in the series, but PCB is a good starter because it gets you used to lots of different dodging situations and gives you strong bombs and the border mechanic when you get in trouble.
Well got so many comments to play Touhou 7, and since I have NO idea on what to start with I listen to the majority. c: Same when I started with FGO, I listen to people since I dont have any idea what to do. : D And thanks for explaining about the characters! ovo
@@LanokirX well there are harder games but just comparing your dodging skills from the start of the video to the end you improved quite abit, panic bombing and bomb spam is something that is done alot when starting out (touhou 6 was where I started, but the thing is when you go into focus mode you don't see your hitbox which means for a first time player I was always thinking that I was going to get hit then bomb and other times have no idea how I dodged an attack) and building confidence is the key to getting better which is what you've started to gain, you can look at some bullet patterns and know that you can dodge it which is good; also for dense bullet patterns and just parts you have to concentrate at just focus on the area around your character it helps alot, the occasional look up is fine as well. Other than that some games you might wanna avoid for awhile, 15 - hardest game in the series, 10,11,12,13 are quite difficult. Also the fighting games 7.5, 10.5, 12.3, 13.5, 14.5 and 15.5 they vary in difficultly, avoid 7.5 it's quite hard, 15.5 is the easiest to pick up and play tbh.
@@dileblade7659 , I find them relatively same. Shinkirou establishes some characters and events that play roles further down. It's generally better to go through story in proper order to see events unfold and fill in gaps through wiki. Unless story is not important and it's only about gameplay.
You actually worked out a lot of things surprisingly quickly for a first timer. Just a few things for clarification: Your hitbox is normally invisible, but if you hold Shift to slow down your movement speed, it will appear as a small white dot in the middle of your character's sprite. BTW, this shift button is incredibly important. It's generally much easier to dodge bullets when moving slower, so when faced with a bunch of bullets, you should always keep that button jammed down so you can get through them. Your shot type also changes from a spread shot to a focus shot, meaning that you can have higher DPS while holding shift as well. The red power items will increase the power of your shot if you can get enough. The small ones are worth one power, and the big ones are worth eight power. The maximum power is 128. Upon reaching maximum power, all bullets on the screen will be cleared. Also, when you're at full power, you can move to the top of the screen and all items on the screen will be automatically collected, no matter where they are. This is important because the blue point items are vital for getting extra lives. On the right side of the screen, you'll see a point counter. Every blue point item you get adds one to that counter. Reach the number shown on it and you'll get an extra life. Also, the midbosses in Stage 3 and Stage 5 will drop extra lives when you beat them. Bombing is useful, but don't rely on it too much. Try to only bomb when the situation actually looks like you would get hit if you didn't bomb. Bombing simply when there are a lot of bullets on screen isn't a very good use of bombs. To actually "beat" the game and get the good ending, you need to 1cc it, which stands for One Credit Clear. In other words, beat the game without using any continues. Right now you can just aim to clear it while using continues, which is decent enough, but it's something to keep in mind. And now onto the other crap. In Touhou games, they typically begin with an "incident". The actual nature of the incident can vary, but it's always unnatural in some way. In this game's case, the winter has lasted far too long, going into what should normally be Spring. The first couple stages usually just involve the player character pottering around and getting into random fights, until they finally find out who's behind the incident. The incident's perpetrator is almost always fought as the final boss. So, in regards to this game: Letty Whiterock is just some random person going around the place, and has absolutely nothing to do with the plot. This is almost always the case with stage 1 bosses. Chen is the Shikigami of Ran Yakumo, who is in turn the Shikigami of Yukari Yakumo. You saw both Ran and Chen briefly in the Humans vs Yukari animation. While she has no relevance to the main game's plot, she'll be back in the extra stage. Alice Margatroid is a hard character to describe. At a basic level, she's a Youkai Magician who lives in the Forest of Magic and has the ability to control dolls, but there might be more to her than meets the eye. She's actually a returning character in this game, first being introduced in Touhou 5: Mystic Square, where she was a resident of Makai. However, 1-5 are questionably canon, so nobody really knows if we can infer any real connections between that Alice and this Alice. Other than that, she has no relation to this game's plot. The Prisimriver Sisters, Lunasa, Merlin, and Lyrica, are poltergeist musicians who presumably live in the Netherworld. They're also unrelated to this game's plot. BTW, the one you fight at the beginning of the battle is actually determined by the character you're playing as. Reimu fights Lunasa, Marisa fights Lyrica, and Sakuya fights Merlin. Merlin is widely considered to be the hardest of the three to defeat. The stage 5 boss is Youmu Konpaku, who is a Half-Phantom, and the Netherworld's Gardener. You saw her at the beginning of the Reimu vs Yuyuko video. She's closely linked to Yuyuko, who is the perpetrator of this game's Incident. Also, it looked like you were struggling a fair bit during her fight. That's understandable. Her attacks are designed so that you need to use the dramatic slow-mo to your advantage so you can get through tight squeezes of bullets. If you just wait at the bottom and do nothing during the slow-mo, you're more than likely going to get hit or waste a bomb. It kind of forces aggressive dodging. Oof, this is a long comment. And I've still got stuff I'd like to say. I guess it can wait. No point bombarding you with information. However, I do still have one very important piece of advice. You may notice that many of the bullets in this game are aimed right at you. When this happens, the LAST thing you want to do is make large sudden movements and cover the entire screen in these aimed bullets. No. Instead, just move very slowly. Moving just slightly to the left or right will make an aimed bullet fly right past you. This is a tactic known as Streaming, and it's vital to master if you want to get anywhere in this series. In many cases, you'll be trying to stream and dodge other bullets at the same time. You definitely need to know how to do it when that comes up. Just a heads up. Sometimes you'll hit the edge of the screen and be unable to stream anymore. This is when you apply a more advanced technique called Restreaming, but I'll tell you about that one later. What's important now is you learn to stream for as long as possible WITHOUT hitting the edge.
Thank you for the comment Lasatar! And that is some good points, had no idea about the hitbox appearing like that xD And good to know what the items are doing that drops! Also had no idea there was different endings in this, taht is pretty neat : O Thanks for explaining about the opponents too, Im amazed how much there is about all of them like this! ovo Really great to read and learn, thank you : D And gonna see if I can learn the Streaming, when you explain it sounds actually very reasonable to do that xD
just a quick correction that while many characters ARE somewhat broken, they themselves have habit of exaggerating their abilities, Yukari included. She's no God. 2:10 that went lewd fast 3:05 hold Shift HOLD SHIFT HOLD SHIFT YOU FUCKER "I'M HOLDING CAPS LOCK" 8:57 ok, at this point it is clear that this video will contain more fucking than any hentai doujinshi.
Ah, understand that, still Yukari is so bonkers strong ovo And things go lewd fast in this channel rofl Didnt know how about shift button D: *Cries into hentai doujinshi*
You are doing pretty well, man! But before you do anything else, this soundtrack you are listening to isn't the correct one. You say you like it, but this is actually a really inferior versions lacking most of the instruments, you should switch it up in the options! Before playing more or going to the next reactions, I REALLY SUGGEST giving the real soundtrack a listen, it's wonderful!!! You were also almost at the end, there are 6 stages max Also you can put the game fullscreen in the options, and increase your max lives there, that way you can definitely reach the final boss in easy! Btw, i see you keep making sexual jokes. I don't care, you can do whatever, but just keep in mind the actual canon series has absolutely zero sexual innuendos, so whatever weird thing makes you giggle because it looks dirty, it's just a coincidence🤣
Ah thank you! c: And yea, I've seen comments mention it was on midi files instead of wav that reduced the music. Sounds so much better now : O Gosh really!? So close! xD Oh, sweet, need to try that out next time ovo Hahaha I know, it's just me being silly ass and make anything sexual innuendos, sorry for that xD
here we go ! and you started making the same mistakes any touhou noob does : not learning how to use the focus mode, going too far up, not startin with easy, and moving far too much. But hey, you corrected it as soon as your second try, and i was bad too when i started (not that i am much better now...) keep going !
Lets go! : D Hahaha, yea, lots of mistakes and some I did just on silly whim. xD Its dang hard so Im curious to see how far I will get in the end! : D And thank you Pablo! c:
So, in these games, all of the characters we see are participating in something called a “danmaku battle”, where there are certain rules, like the people can’t make their spells go on longer than a certain time, they cannot summon bullets inside another person, they cannot repeat spells, if they run out of spells and have been hit a certain number of times, they HAVE to admit defeat even if they can still fight, and the winner cannot kill the loser. Because of these predetermined rules, anyone can beat anyone, even if it’s Chirno vs. Reimu (AKA, the weakest vs. the strongest). However, if they do fight outside of the rules, there is a definite strongest-to-weakest scale. People like Sakura, Yukari and Marisa are some of the stronger characters, while Reimu is in a COMPLETELY different level than anyone else in the world. The creator of the game himself, Zun, has said that in a battle where they don’t follow the rules of Danmaku, Reimu is literally unbeatable by ANYONE. She can make herself not exist (It’s not just making herself intangible, for going between realms, or going to a different universe, she simply does not exist in any plane of reality), she can make her bullets not exist until the instant they hit you, she has infinite stamina, so she can use her extremely high-level spells over and over again, or just start a spell and never stop it, and other things that I can’t think of off the top of my head. Even when I tried thinking of other fictional characters that could stand a chance against her, nobody can even come close; even the reality warpers from Marvel and DC really don’t stand a chance, because of the simple fact that Reimu can make herself just not exist; you can’t change or alter something that doesn’t exist. Even guys like Dr. Manhattan or Infinity gauntlets, or Superman, or Franklin Richards, or just about any fictional character ever. You can’t beat an opponent that doesn’t exist, but can still attack you. As far as I can imagine, the closest anybody in any work of fiction can get to beating Reimu is an eternal stalemate where her bullets don’t hurt them, even if she summons the bullets inside their body, and they can never interact with her in general, and nobody would win. Whelp, if you somehow were able to read all that, I thank you for your time, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
Ah, thank you for the comment! c: And I like the idea of Danmaku battles, make it interesting and different compare to many other things! And give everyone an chance to win : D Though reading about Reimu, holy crap she seem to be bonkers. o_o I thought Yukari was broken as hell, but sounds like Reimu is something completely different rofl. As who that can beat her, I dont know, I dont have enought knowledge about fictional characters to come up with someone that can beat Reimu that is able to do things like that ovo And thank you for the comment Jak! : D
@@LanokirX Reimu is incredibly bullshit, yes. She has all sorts of powers, and can use them without training, including what is pretty much a budget Ultra Instinct. But the specific ability, named "Fantasy Nature", that Jak Turner describes is way overhyped. It's not the be-all end-all he makes it to be. It's actually part of a greater power that Reimu has which is called simply "floating." This is a conceptual ability, and since you're a Fate fan, you know what that means. Anything that can be described as "floating" is something Reimu is capable of, and Fantasy Nature is, in ZUN's words, her "floating away from reality" with shots firing automatically. And yes, she still exists, she's just not there to be hit anymore. Now, the problem with floating, and thus Fantasy Nature, is that it's not actually something Reimu has control over. Marisa, in one of the official books, says it's more like something that just happens at times, and many times Reimu herself may not be aware of it. Such as when she walked over the surface of a running river in one of the manga without realizing. It's still an incredible power, but she can't just pull it out on demand and John Cena everyone in Gensokyo. And as for someone that can beat an unrestricted Fantasy Nature? Well, that'd be Yukari. She's able to manipulate many boundaries, but the one she's most known for would be the Boundary of *Fantasy and Reality,* and, well, that sure seems like a hard counter to Fantasy Nature to me. Reimu has plenty of other ways to make it tough for her though. :D
I thought you were going to notice it as you have learned the game quite fast... Your hitbox is that small... big? anyway, a dot that appears above your character when you are moving slowly. Also, you can use bomb at the last second when you get hit. It will cost 2 bombs instead by doing so. The latter part might be wrong as I haven't played touhou for quite some time now and my memories are quite vague at this point. Try to move in focus mode(Slow moving + more powerful & focused shots) for most of the time. You will know your hitbox and have more control on your evasive manoeuvres. And there is a bonus score for evading enemy shots in close range. It's called 'Graze' and you will know that you are doing it by ticking sound and Graze counter. I believe you also have white particle occurring around your character.
Haha felt like I had so much more to learn xD Well in this bullet hell it felt enormous o_o Really? That sounds pretty nice, could be a big saver to use bombs instead : O That is true, felt easier to avoid when using Focus mode c: So that is Graze! Was wondering that it was for ovo
Great start, i think if you follow this advice you will be a maste rin no time: Slow down your thoughts and look at where you should go. If you iron out your panic, you will be great at this game
For everyone that wants to have him react to something:
Its not often Lano picks up stuff from the comments, since he loses track of it in the middle of all the stuff he does
So it is reccomended that you all leave your reaction requests on Discord or link them to me, so I can properly remind him.
Its important to note also, that unless directly linked to me under this comment, I wont go out of my way to catch the links to remind Lano.
Best thing to do, since Im a scatterbrained bird. ovo
monogatari series pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Ehy lano, since you have finished with the 3d touhou stuff, here, this is the link of the first animation of touhou and undertale that you wanted to check out
ruclips.net/video/HTKCtyD8kBY/видео.html
I'd like you to pass along that as a new player, I don't think Touhou 7 is the right game for Lano to start with. It's relatively difficult on the lower settings, and the lategame bosses use quite complicated and un-intuitive patterns.
I think he should give Touhou 8 - Imperishable Night a shot. Plus, you can play as Yukari in that game~
Tip: the red boxes are the ones that power you up, while the blue ones give you more score. If you collect enough of the pink boxes, you get a temporary shield
Ohh, sweet, thanks for explaining! : D
41:57 yes. and not only that, but even the phantasm stage. (the second one you tried - the one that killed you in a few seconds XD)

But it can make the game's speed feels inconsistent at times. You may want to try turning it off and see how you like it.
Anyway, I think you did pretty well for your first time. I'll be looking forward to your next Touhou video.
Ah, tested it out and my god it sounds so much better xDD Thanks for telling me about that c:
Then I understand, gonna try out to turn it off. Honestly surprised the game of that age have so many things to improve the performance like that! ovo
And thank you! Used all my experience to survive for so long! xD
You were so close to the normal ending. a very respectable performance.
Ah it was tough as heck for sure xD
Congrats on getting as far as you did. Honestly you’ve done really well for a beginner. You’re not afraid to use bombs when you need to and you have been using focus as well (the thing were your shot and bomb changes and you slow down).

A quick little rundown of the items on the game:
The blue ones are for increasing your score
The red P increases your power, meaning your attack spread gets wider (at least as Sakuya) and you fire more.
The pink ones fill a gauge at the bottom left of the screen that when full gives you the magic circle shield.
Ah, survive on experience and reflexes from past games xD And felt that if Im gonna die anways then its better to use the bombs and get it well used! c:
Ohh, so gets extra points? That sounds pretty nice indeed! : O
And thank you for the rundown on the items! c:
I'm just into the first 3 minutes and loving the reactions already. Sorry Lano I don't mean that to make fun, it's just that yeah when you start out on Touhou this is the start experience, don't worry you'll get to know the shot types and get adjusted to which character is the one for you
Edit 1: Congrats on Capturing your first spell card
Ah, this is bullet madness for sure xD And yea, lots of info to take in while hells breaking loose rofl!
Hi again! This was A VERY GOOD first try! There some tips:
When you in focused Mode you can see your hitbox(Red dot on your character).
About characters:

Oh thanks for the input, lots of things for me to learn indeed ovo Amazed how much there is! xDD
And gosh thanks for explaining about the characters!
Oh dear, sounds they are pretty crazy at times in the fandom. xD Still pretty amazing to see how much the fandom love the characters : D
Advice to a new player: pick Reimu.
She's an overpowered Shrine Maiden with a tiny hitbox who shoots panda's to death
Advice to a new player: pick Reimu.
Me: I pick the hardest one cause me dumb 8D
@@LanokirX To be completely honest, I did the same thing because I liked Reimu the least as a character :P
Glad you are using Shift ! most new players forget that exists and it's super useful to dodge.
The music in the game for some reason is switched to MIDI instead of WAV, so it sounds simplistic, you can change that in the game menu.
Ah, was a bit weird to use in the beginning, but in the end it became rather natural to use shift! ovo
Oh, had no idea!
Had no idea about that : o
Ah, learned now that I do have a white dot as an hitbox rofl, never thought on it when using shift, I was panic through most of this all xDD
And I see, that is pretty neat though, like the options of different styles like that. : D Thanks for explaining it Chimera!
You should switch to .wav versions of the songs you can do that in options menu.
Ah, didn't know it was a thing actually. Done it now though! c:

Hey Lano, I have a little info dump about Alice for you:
Alice Margatroid is a youkai (formerly human) magician known primarily for her skillful use of dolls as well as being a loner.
Hey Shiori! And thank you for the info dump : D
Really interesting to read, Alice seems really strong and yet respectful! Sure she doesnt go full out but at least gives her opponents a chance and then dont go full bonkers when about to lose, so respect to that! c:
So thank you for sharing this, gonna read on the wiki too : D
@@LanokirX That wiki is abandoned by almost a decade, the one that's actually being updated is here: en.touhouwiki.net
Hieda no Ajuu that’s one thing. But the fact that you can change the amount of bombs you start with is one thing that most people favor.
Well got so many comments to play Touhou 7, and since I have NO idea on what to start with I listen to the majority. c: Same when I started with FGO, I listen to people since I dont have any idea what to do. : D
And thanks for explaining about the characters! ovo
For you're first time you actually did quite well.
Ah thank you! : D Still felt like I haven't seen nothing yet xDD
Don't forget their are fighting games too. 14.5 is a good start, as is 10.5.
10.5 for first-gen fighting games and 13.5 for second-gen fighting games.
@@StarlightFromAbyss 14.5 is easier to play, in my opinion
@@dileblade7659 , I find them relatively same. Shinkirou establishes some characters and events that play roles further down. It's generally better to go through story in proper order to see events unfold and fill in gaps through wiki. Unless story is not important and it's only about gameplay.
Yea, know some mentioned it and Im gonna try em too! Sounds pretty fun c:
I'm new to the channel and I think I might have to say this: "Welcome to the fandom"
Ah, thank you! : D Looks like I entered hell.
A BULLET Hell! :'DDD
I should have say "Welcome to hell" but I thought it might trigger you but I think it's not...
Well at least it's warm : D
You actually worked out a lot of things surprisingly quickly for a first timer. Just a few things for clarification:
Your hitbox is normally invisible, but if you hold Shift to slow down your movement speed, it will appear as a small white dot in the middle of your character's sprite.
So, in regards to this game:
Letty Whiterock is just some random person going around the place, and has absolutely nothing to do with the plot.
Also had no idea there was different endings in this, taht is pretty neat : O
Thanks for explaining about the opponents too, Im amazed how much there is about all of them like this! ovo Really great to read and learn, thank you : D
And gonna see if I can learn the Streaming, when you explain it sounds actually very reasonable to do that xD
just a quick correction that while many characters ARE somewhat broken, they themselves have habit of exaggerating their abilities, Yukari included. She's no God.

it was really a good start for you first time
Thank you, guess all my years playing games came to use! xD
You were also almost at the end, there are 6 stages max
Also you can put the game fullscreen in the options, and increase your max lives there, that way you can definitely reach the final boss in easy!
Sounds so much better now : O

But hey, you corrected it as soon as your second try, and i was bad too when i started (not that i am much better now...) keep going !
Lets go! : D

First time!? So good!
With such great DANMAKU talent.Lano-senpai is a future DANMAKU-Ace or YOUKAI-Reacter.
Ah thank you! c: Hahaha dont think I will be that good ever, but thank you : D
Ah, thank you for the comment! c:
And I like the idea of Danmaku battles, make it interesting and different compare to many other things! And give everyone an chance to win : D
Though reading about Reimu, holy crap she seem to be bonkers. o_o I thought Yukari was broken as hell, but sounds like Reimu is something completely different rofl. As who that can beat her, I dont know, I dont have enought knowledge about fictional characters to come up with someone that can beat Reimu that is able to do things like that ovo
And thank you for the comment Jak! : D
@@LanokirX
Reimu is incredibly bullshit, yes.
Ohh I see ovo Thanks for explaning it further Hieda!
Now I wanna see Reimu do a John Cena for some reason xDDD
You can select the difficulty and you were on lunatic the hardest..i saw that on the bottem
Ah I got to try it and well, I got focked : D
Haha felt like I had so much more to learn xD
Well in this bullet hell it felt enormous o_o
Really? That sounds pretty nice, could be a big saver to use bombs instead : O
That is true, felt easier to avoid when using Focus mode c: So that is Graze! Was wondering that it was for ovo

Great start, i think if you follow this advice you will be a maste rin no time: Slow down your thoughts and look at where you should go. If you iron out your panic, you will be great at this game
also be slower on the bomb key, i think if you focused enough you could do well
