no he doesn't. He needs to eat more solid foods instead of drinking. They don't have a response when they are full that tells them when to stop drinking or eating. They will eat everything that's in front of them even if it makes them sick. Hes not not letting the bottle go because he's hungry or wants more, he does it because he just wants to suck on the bottle, weather there's anything in it or not. He's old enough where his mom I nature would have already stopped producing milk long ago and he'd be eating scraps from her and even finding his own food. If she just gave him the bottle whenever he wanted it he'd have it all day. He stopped growing because of the formula, it's not designed to be a meal replacement. It's not giving any sustenance or nutritional benefit at this point and all it's doing is satisfying his instinct to suckle. Tell me, do human babies drink formula forever? After a few months you introduce BABY FOOD and slowly wean off the bottle I can't stand people that keep saying "give him more milk give him milk". NO! He needs to EAT FOOD! Or he will develop a nasty spoiled attitude from giving him the bottle too much. That's why it's often brutal when the mothers WEAN.
