This is absolutely wonderful music, performed by an incredible, breathtaking cellist and artist. Both, music and performer, are new to me and I am really thankful for this unique discovery! ❤️

I was very excited to hear of these pieces. Not that I play cello. I play modern bass trombone but in a former life I played baroque trumpet, studied with Edward H. Tarr and ornamentation with Bruce Dickey. Unfortunately, it would appear that these piece, like so many of the "late Baroque" do not fit as well as earlier pieces, such as the Ricercari by Domenico Gabrielli - those work much better on the modern bass trombone, of course always trying to capture to "cello spirit" and not get hung up in trombonisms.
