  • I highly recommend listening with headphones!
    Top guitar is panned right.
    Bottom guitar is panned left.
    A throwback to my very first cover on this channel, you know I had to re-do this one!
    In this video I used a Tone Junkie profile called 'Ace Sonic Pope 2' from their Dual Amp Pack #2. Michael Pope's AC30 and ProSonic settings profiled and then blended into one profile. It's perfect for anything Bethel. You can get it here: tonejunkiestore.com
    GEAR USED
    Squier VM '72 Thinline Telecaster
    Mzo.Effects Blue
    Mzo.Effects Ohm
    Kemper Profiler
    All delays and reverb are from the Kemper.
    Recorded in Audacity.

    Can you explain what's happening at 3:16 the right guitar. Is this just a dotted eight or is another delay mixed in?

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  3 года назад

      I assume you mean the top guitar?
      That does have dotted 8th delay.
      Here's a good video explaining the parts.
      The part you're talking about starts at 11:50

    This was the first video I watched that you have done. I liked it and have watched some of your other videos. All your videos are very well done.
    By the way what guitar are you using and how much was it?

      This is a Squier Vintage Modified 72 Thinline Telecaster. I think I bought it for $450 back in 2016. Nowadays they are under the Classic Vibe line and are made in China. The one I had was made in Indonesia. Great guitar.

      Hey. Thanks for the information. I actually have that guitar now and I enjoy it. I got it on sale recently and mine says it's still made in Indonesia. It's a great guitar for sure.

      @JoeMcDaniel  5 лет назад +2

      @@victor199541 It might be the fact that you are hearing two guitars.
      Other than that, it is important to set your delay and reverb right. I used a pretty heavy delay, but a short reverb. The TS9 should be able to get close.

      @JoeMcDaniel  5 лет назад

      If I remember right, I used it the whole song for both guitars, and stacked the Blue on top for the lead line.

    Did you do any mods on the guitar after purchasing? It sounds great!

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  3 года назад

      I didn't actually. It was a great guitar all around, it took a Veritas to replace it!

    • @kckrye
      @kckrye 3 года назад

      @@JoeMcDaniel I want to know, is a Veritas guitar really worth the money they charge for them?

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  3 года назад

      The longer I've owned the guitar, the more it became worth it to me. My ordering process was not ideal. I got quoted 4 months when I ordered, but it ended up taking a year (I got a Craftsman model which were supposed to be shorter build times, Custom line takes a year).
      After receiving it, I was a little underwhelmed with the overall finish. The back of the neck needed rubbed with some steel wool, there was some visible file marks on the edge of the fretboard, and there was a spot in the paint I found that was filled in with sharpie.
      With all that being said. I really love this guitar. It's by far the best sounding guitar I've ever played, and I've enjoyed it so much that it became worth the price the more I played it, despite everything bad about it.

    what drives are in the profile? or is it just amp drive?

    • @JoeMcDaniel
      @JoeMcDaniel  6 лет назад

      I switched between the Green Scream and an Mzo.effects Blue overdrive on the top guitar. I used the Blue only on the choruses. Green Scream for the lead.
      Then for the bottom guitar I only used the Blue.

      @@JoeMcDaniel What were your lead green scream settings? Killer! I have been using the Sooze Arshall as a template, but curious what you did here as it sounds great!
