I just love the fact that Henri motivates Fievel to find his family :) this movie really shows how important friendship really is. Helping others to succeed their goals.
I know! I love it too! Henri really motivated me when I was a kid. I sang that song all the time when I was a small kid growing up in a super violent family of my mom the pedophile, and all her pedophile friends who were constantly raping me and trying to kill me. The movie came out when I was 4. I sang that song all the time about finding my family. I was hoping I could run away and find a family to raise me but all my escape attempts were foiled. At least I made it out of there alive eventually as an adult and this song really helped me. And still inspires me. :) but I also sang it to my mom as a child to try to convince her we could love each other, we could be a family and she'd find a loving husband that she so desperately longed for (she did get married but to a pedophile who spent the rest of my life raping me and trying to kill me) So my thoughts of having a loving father who would stop her from torturing me never came to pass but I still really like the song anyway because it gave me a lot of hope. I wonder if it also planted the seed for me to want to study French, which I did in high school. :) Bonne chance!! Au revoir :) ;)
Right? Someone just tweeted about never and I wanted to gif this song, but everything was beiber. So here I am just pasting this yt link like a boomer.
Well I wouldn't say that if I were you because me all through I'm French and I like America yes you might find this weird but still there are Americans who like us French people and they there's French people like myself who likes the Americans not just because they give them the Statue of Liberty because me personally I think there's a lot of things that the Americans have what the French people don't have besides the story of this country is interesting.
I never get tired of watching this movie. Brings back memories. I remember those same words my father said to me "Never say never", grew up with that quote. I know that sounds korny, but it's help me follow what I'm searching for in life.
I think cartoons back then we're better than today I think they have more heart and they teach you a good lesson and the songs were amazing and the art and characters were extraordinary.
I remember watching this movie when I was 6 and today after 22 years it suddenly popped up in my head, I actually started crying reminiscing how precious and innocent my childhood was. Those were the days when life was so simple and carefree, how I wish to be a child once again..
Spielberg stopped working with Don Bluth and his movies got progressively worse. All Dogs Go to Heaven was alright, then we got Rock A Doodle, A Troll in Central Park, Thumbulina, etc.
As most of you all would probably guess, I think THIS Never Say Never song is the best one of them I ever heard! I also love this film, along with The Great Mouse Detective, The Prince of Egypt, and The Land Before Time!
Fivel is so cute and alive. He looks and acts just like my older brother. My parents used to say that, and my brother was an immigrant too, and after he became a citizen this movie came out. It was one of our favorites.
I'm 15 years old and I still love this, you wanna know why, because the message of this movie is that, with faith anything is possible ( never say never)
Henri's wing articulation is distracting xD I absolutely love how the primaries turn into digits and then back into feathers. Don Bluth, hats off to you!
When I was a kid I loved this scene, and I loved the film too, but now that I'm older I find it a little bit cheesy (haha, excuse the pun) but all the same I still love it! Brings back many happy memories :)
Someone needs to make more Don Bluth-like films... Not enough good animations, anymore. I like CGI, but it has completely flooded the market and no one does traditional stuff like this, anymore. And when they do make a classic animation, they've taken all real threat/disparity to the protagonist out of the picture, because, "it might scare the kids". I'm pretty sure I didn't "break" because Little Foot's mom died in Land Before Time.
that's a good idea so long as you don't mind more of we Mormons in Hollywood:), Don Bluth was a fellow one that spent time in El Paso as I did on a mission. This inadvertently teaches values while entertaining, pretty subtle :)
So doing the math, he was about thirteen when he returned for Fievel Goes West. I'm surprised his voice didn't even crack around that time. I guess he was able to hang on to his cute, high-pitched mousey voice for a few years longer.
cartoons back in the day with their positive vibes, now we have this spongebob crap telling us to be weirdos. :/ we'll never be properly stimulated again :P "Never Say Never Again!"
The amount of years it took me to figure out the name of this movie just to listen to this song is ridiculous but I absolutely love this!!!!!!
and all I did was search "never say never mouse" lol
Drake Waters haha I was too stupid to do that
"Never say never disney" was the trick for me.
+djenn434 but it's not disney. Bluth studios was the major competitor to Disney in the 80's before Dreamworks came on the scene.
Why did this song randomly pop into my head after roughly 15 years of never seeing or hearing of this movie.
Never say never
Same boat friend, its too repetitive not to leave your head.
Every other day
Humans taking all the credit for building the Statue of Liberty and ignoring the pigeons smh
Lol
It's true. Humans suck.
Yeah I know we don’t mind though
Honestly, that pigeon deserved more screen time.
He's probably my favourite character xD

@@lemurlover7975 yeah and it doesn't matter which country everyone from we can help each other.
@ryan jones I think she didn't know.
These movies were so precious, that they actually made me sad sometimes.
I want to quote this, but everyone will think i'm referencing Justin Beiber.
Beiber can suck it. this is better. My therapist said this to me today, and *this* is what I thought of.
@Starlight_Feather Funny I was just going to say that myself.
right?
Oh shit I completely forgot about that -_-;
Right? Someone just tweeted about never and I wanted to gif this song, but everything was beiber. So here I am just pasting this yt link like a boomer.
Loved watching this movie as a kid. I haven't seen this in ages!
I glad I grew up with cartoon movies like this , all we get now is CGI movies I miss the hand drawn movies like this .
This is what Don Bluth did best. He wasn't that good with people, but he was amazing with anthropomorphic animals... likely the best.
Oh my god. Childhood MEMORIES
+MrR3WIND Indeed.
once upon a time, the French loved the Americans. So much so they sent us the Statue of Liberty. Thats all ancient history now.
PyroRomancR Wonder what Henri's reaction would be to present day...
We're still allies, that hasn't changed a bit.
I'm French and I love Americans :')
the color of the Statue of Liberty is correct! Nice attention to detail. Only after a while it oxidized, giving us the famous bluish hue.
Never to say never..Quoth the pigeon, 'Nevermore'
oh! i just love this movie.. i have ever since i first watched it
I've sang this since I was I child. Even now when times are tough. Cherish every moment 👏🏼💜 And never say never.
This and the Great Mouse Detective are the greatest movies on Earth!!!
Whenever I feel sick, I always listen on this animated classic song. I feel contented. XD ohhh.
I never get tired of watching this movie. Brings back memories. I remember those same words my father said to me "Never say never", grew up with that quote. I know that sounds korny, but it's help me follow what I'm searching for in life.

WHERE ARE DIRECTORS THAT MAKES GOOD CARTOONS LIKE THIS AND TLBT?!
Spielberg stopped working with Don Bluth and his movies got progressively worse. All Dogs Go to Heaven was alright, then we got Rock A Doodle, A Troll in Central Park, Thumbulina, etc.
Disney fired them and hired computer geeks instead. :((
I love how his bowtie goes up and down when he says the chorus at the end.
Fievel: Henri! You said Never!
Hemri: Oh, so I did!
Gotta love this film!
Pure... Animated... Brilliance!
Wow, I still adore this movie. We had some of the BEST movies growing up.
Rip America
You will never be forgotten.
As most of you all would probably guess, I think THIS Never Say Never song is the best one of them I ever heard! I also love this film, along with The Great Mouse Detective, The Prince of Egypt, and The Land Before Time!
I absolutely loved this and Fivel goes West when I was younger. WEWEASE THE SECWET WEAPAAAN!
THIS VERSION is a trillion times better then Justin Beiber's Never say never
Never realized this was Christopher Plummer.
+rb02009 Indeed. Very unrecognizable.
Yes, it's Master Arngeir from Skyrim too.
Its Captain Von Trapp
Wouldnt be the last time he was in a Don Bluth movie. He was the head Owl in Rock a Doodle.
@@FrizFreddy1994 That's awesome.
I'm now grown man now and I still think about this song when I start to think I can't accomplish a task. I loved this movie as a child.
I loved this movie when I was little. So many childhood memories :)
I love this Pidgeon, he and Jacamo from Thumbelina. (as well as the Raven/Crow from the Secret of NIMH) are some of my favorite birds in animation.
Deltafairy those are all some of my FAAAAAVORITE movies!

An american tail is the best movie ever in my opinion, I love this movie!!!
been looking for this song for 4 years such a great song and good moral song
His voice is adorable. I never saw this movie until this clip. I didn’t think he’d sound cute like that.
I forgot this cartoon so i tyed in "mouse singing never say never" explaining the movie to my friends was such a struggle.
An American Tail "Never Say Never" >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Justin Beiber "Never Say Never"
Totally! I feel that somehow Justin Bieber stole the title of this song...
Feivel has the cutest voice ever!
I love watching this kind of thing whenever I'm in the hospital as well. I hope you're feeling better now.
man, this song brings back all sorts of memories! ^^
Aladdin: Don't worry Abu, I'll never see her again.Pinocchio: Guess I'll never see my father again.Flik: I'm never gonna make a difference.

Fivel is so cute and alive. He looks and acts just like my older brother. My parents used to say that, and my brother was an immigrant too, and after he became a citizen this movie came out. It was one of our favorites.

I wish this would be my all-time mantra!
30 years ago when this film was made

I love how in this movie some characters can't sing in perfect tune
those lady pigeons are hot, Henri be pimpin'
I'm 15 years old and I still love this, you wanna know why, because the message of this movie is that, with faith anything is possible ( never say never)
Well that should be a good things, because those songs are perfectly ideal for keeping you MOTIVATED!!

I absolutely love how the primaries turn into digits and then back into feathers. Don Bluth, hats off to you!
I love this movie.
Christopher Plummer did such a great job with this role. :-)
And I think this is one of Don Bluth and co.'s best films.
american tail is such a sad movie but this song dose make up for the strong amount of saddness in the movie..but the endding helps aswell
I have the dvd of this somewhere... CHILDHOOD :')
I wish animals talked like that and had their own little world.
Oh my goodness!! I've only seen this movie ONCE - when I was FIVE. The only thing I remember is this bird saying (or well, singing) "Never say never".
When I was a kid I loved this scene, and I loved the film too, but now that I'm older I find it a little bit cheesy (haha, excuse the pun) but all the same I still love it! Brings back many happy memories :)
OMG the coloured birds
amazing
we all need an henri sometimes... :)
i love this song!

This song is stuck in my head..

So doing the math, he was about thirteen when he returned for Fievel Goes West. I'm surprised his voice didn't even crack around that time. I guess he was able to hang on to his cute, high-pitched mousey voice for a few years longer.
this is possibley the happyest song ever
I used to watch this every day on Betamax 😭
"so young, and you have lost hope!"
haha i always think that line's so cute.
cartoons back in the day with their positive vibes,
now we have this spongebob crap telling us to be weirdos.
:/
we'll never be properly stimulated again :P
"Never Say Never Again!"
this was always a good movie to me ( also verry cute )
