Tosin and Jason are probably two of the best guitarists right now.
Dao Yang I know one more not a popular guitarist - Sergei Golovin, he’s on the same lvl +/- like Tosin, but Jason is a monster, it’s like a genetic unique, he’s not the best, he’s just like from another planet. Mutant...
I would also say syu from galneryus is up there, dude is a fantastic shredder.
You're wrong. Jason Becker is and always will be. N00b
Crypto Rick Great!!!!
One of the best guitarist right now - Anton Oparin
I want to thank everyone for taking some time to watch the film.
Best part of this. "Uh the les paul is still here because it doesn't have enough frets or strings." *quick cut to next scene* LMFAO
Fuck it! i will watch it again lol
Hell yeah! 🤘🏻
Joey Creel i have watched it 4 times now. why not
This was amazing Jason and friends. Thank you for everything
Thank you for watching!
One thing I envy you more than the shredding: your father got to see you make it big and be proud of you, a chance that life too it away from my dad along side with him.
Metal on man \m/
"The G string is just a stupid string." 100% agree. I hate it.
Martin Graham but the best thing about being a guitarist is knowing your way around the g string
Martin Graham I LOVE
g-strings!
bet you don't say that to your girl
dude every time I buy a pack of strings I always get a couple extra G string. if my dad asks 'do you have extra E string' nope all G.
I don’t get it, but on every guitar I’ve played it’s always the first one to go out of tune.
9:23 Old telephone, X-Box controller, and 2 handguns... Quite the mix
Hahaha. I just noticed a handgun on the table during the final words towards the end. Didn't notice both earlier in the film. Armed to the teeth for the interview! No judgement here. Just hope he locks them shits up post interview! haha…. Great documentary btw. Dude is truly talented
I never meet Jason but I talked to Luke Holland at warped for a little while (He was walking around) and I mentioned this album and he said he feels bad for the kids that try to do both guitar and drum covers for the songs lol!
He is a fucking machine, complete musician and guitarist. It's nearly impossible to reach his insane level.
Yea there are certain ppl that no matter how much u play you'll prob never be able to do some of the stuff
I've been playing guitar longer than Jason has been alive, and watching him play, seeing the songs he puts together, I can't even conceive how he does it. Truly amazing stuff.
41:32 Plays sneaky Mario theme then instantly rips a solid take, crazy
Rick Beato started his baby son listening to really complicated music and banging away on a piano in the cradle! He ended up with perfect pitch, something that cannot be leant in later life, it has to be programmed into the growing brain from the off!
That’s what’s so great about the internet, and the reason there are so many really accomplished young players around today, as they have immediate and free access to teaching resources that previous generations could only DREAM of!
Plus the instruments available to youngsters today are way in advance of anything I had to learn on back in the 70’s!
This sounds or reminds me so much of my son Corey Clark. He is in the band disareyen ...Jason he loves your music too. His name was in your credits as he showed me the video for helping in the funding of your project. I loved it too. I started Corey off from the day he was known to exist with headphones on his mom's belly. Haha. Yeah. I was a musician drummer etc and wanted him to experience the love I had for music. Well one day I sat with him on guitar and he got so good I could not see his fingers moving. He is just so amazing. They have a little tour coming in Sept. Anyway. I love my son. What can I say? Killer Doc man!
You should do a collaborative with Corey. You may be quite surprised. lol. He is well Known around these parts. I've never met a person that can name a note on any key from anywhere. 100% I'll hit a key and he names it in 5 or less seconds. So intricate ..Sorry man. I am proud of him. Lol
You're such an awesome dad, like seriously
Oh man. I know who your son is. Corey Clark is a SICK guitarist! And you are correct about your son's speed. He can play fast asf! VERY talented young man right there. You should be very proud, he must have put his all into playing too get that good! There are plenty of video's with him playing on RUclips. Just look up his bands name here on RUclips and you will see them. "Disareyen". He is def on Jason Richardson's level as far as playing goes and that says a LOT.
@@robertclarkguitar Really interested if anything is changed after five years, hope you and your son are doing well!
Dude, now that i watched the whole documentary, i can certainly say that we are waiting for the best album of 2016, this is the beginning of a legend, nicely done Mr. Richardson!
No one loves jason richardson more than jason richardson
Mike Hart that's the REAL truth
why?
Is he full of himself?
no, it was just a joke. I'm sure he's a swell dude.
He is definitely self confident but he seems like a pretty humble person at the end of the day.
Let Jason be Jason
"g string always has the most problems" FACT
For me its the high e, funny hos everybody has their own little problem lol, maybe its about the guitar
I love the fact that your dad has a "no treble" shirt!
Dan Hauser being in this is cool. One of the most underrated musicians in modern metal.
19:15 That pug is sooo chill in the studio lol
Jordan Bergeron ikr
jasons bombin on dan's style while wearing a spongebob tank from spencers hahah
Walmart* lol
"Here, you'll record this faster than I will." - Marc Okubo
Newsflash Marc: If you put the bong down for 5min, you'd be just fine. #haha
Jason reminds me a lot of my older brother, he's in the military and I miss him. They have a very similar way of speaking
I already loved your album cover to cover, but after seeing how much work you put into it only brings a deeper admiration for the album and you as an artist. Can't wait to hear the next one man!!!
Best thing ever. It's amazing how fast you got into all those bands! You're such an inspiration, dude.
Jason just wanna say what a treat it is to see the goings-ons behind this solo effort from you, which is super super good, I've listened to the album twice (and Omni/Fragments about three dozens times as singles). It was great to see a room of guys that included Luke and Matt just all being there enjoying the process. Also fun to see musicians of your caliber just shooting the shit and having fun with it. Congrats man, I hope this is just the beginning. Never think small, imagine abundance, and do as you do. And if you ever need a chiropractor, I got your back, literally.
"You know, he grew up around stuff" nice parenting skills.
really? how was your parenting?
Watched this twice. So many things to learn. Thank you for making such a video. Influenced me A LOT!!
Btw is the vocal on the very last part Spencer?
32:58 imagine doing that for an hour at least, that's what real practice looks like
Whoever put this together is amazing. Jason is amazing. Everyone who worked on this is amazing. Wishing to each of you guys nothing but the best for what's to come. Such a motivation boost for anybody with skills and dreams out there. Keep shredding!
Rest in Peace d00d the pug :'(
This Album has filled a need I have had musically for a long time, Seriously thank you for your intense desire to make this album and all the amazing talent that was lent to make this a reality. You are all truly incredible musical talents and I am proud to be a supporter. Music is a fucking wondrous thing.
what a time to be alive, like honestly. this just gets me so fucking hyped about music.
Dude you are literally, my big influence on guitar! Love your work!
His laughter is the best hahahah, beautiful job Jason :D
I am glad you are reaching success. You worked hard for it. Congratulations! I enjoyed this documentary.
Those dam sound effects are killing me xD.
Such an honour seeing your name in the credits, glad i could contribute!
Haven't started watching yet, before that I'd like to genuinely thank you Jason, for all the time you've put into this documentary (& other people involved) all the time you've put in since you picked up a guitar, in countable hours I believe, no? I've enjoyed so many of your compositions, and the input you've had in many bands songs & productions.
Now I shall watch, stoked !
Fuck this was such a cool life story. Bless this guy, metal as fuck!
Jason=GOAT. I regret i didnt practise very much back in the days. One day i want to shred like Jason.
one of the greatest. Love you and your playing jason. perfection buddy!
ive been blown away by this album. ive followed your work since ASP. You definitely found your sound man this album has been amazing! excellent work man
felt so good to see my name during the credits!! :)
12:08 - "Banjoist" XDXDXD
Its badass that your dad is right there with you a lot of the time. Great parent.
Oh reupload. Better watch it once again :D
Also thank you Jason for all the great titles/names I can call myself and my bandmates now, after watching it :D
Hit it right on the head. I wasn't expecting anything close to this type of album. TONGA is by far my #1 track and I mean #1 song of all music I have heard to date. Its revolutionary Jason. Great work.
This album and documentary are so good! Congrats Jason! Good work Joey!
Thanks for checking it out and for the kind words.
this makes me happy because of how much a like we are/were as teenagers and the fact that I'm a lot like you were makes me happy because maybe just maybe I'll be as successful as you too
29:10 YES.
oh look it's Justin 😂
I found HASKIN.
+hidden behind ghosts. r u ok?
I am absolutely in love with this!!
Hey Jason,I'm a guitar player from China,Aviator guest solo is the first solo I heard from you,and that solo blowed my mind!!After that I started to find all your music on the internet,Dude!!You’re amazing!!Everything you did is so fucking cool!!I ordered this album right after it releaseed,it sounds soooo fucking sick!!IT'S A GREAT ALBUM!!Phenomenal!!
Damn Jason, you give me inspiration. It's really good to see that you're extremely happy with the outcome of the album. I am extremely happy for you and I hope to strive to come to your level of sickness. \m/
Just bought the album. Love the work you've put in here. Stoked to listen!
Jason you're a straight up god, just inspiring af. Can't wait to hear the full album, it's sounding incredible so far :D
I love how he layered fake snippets over the guitar parts. Hilarious.
+hidden behind ghosts. If you listen closely to some of the shred parts he plays in the doc, it sounds like what he's playing, but the tone is funny sounding, and the playing is unclean. He did it as a joke I'm sure..kinda like how Skwsigaar plays that same shred riff to pass the time during conversation in Metalacolypse.
Honestly there are so many videos of him playing insane songs live that nothing anyone says holds up if they think he can't play or something. I know you aren't saying that, and it might be a joke which could be true. But he's honestly best guitarist alive right now, I'm pretty positive about it lol
there are many players of this caliber around now a days. The thing is, very very few are like 26 years old lol
Shawn Weber I thought he meant what you thought also. Miscommunication! Lol
Am I the only one who understood what Jacob Lynch was talking about ? He was mentioning the very short clips of Jason playing guitar, and he just layered those clips in the whole documentary with funny sloppy guitar playing audio. I also find it hilarious
I feel like you must have been a janitor in a past life because you can sweep like a god. I look forward to this album!
Was getting excited to ‘study’ Jason Richardson and found this. Perfect.
This is insane. I can't wait to hear it.
Dude I remember when I looked at your guitar in 10th grade English and you got PISSED, good to see you succeed bro, especially the way you have, your family better be proud
Why did he get angry???
He got mad because you looked at his guitar? What a dick.
@@bradhargis2261 You never know, maybe another kid had just picked up his guitar without his permission, or maybe some other prior experience taught him to be protective of his stuff.
I dont like jason but you dont touch peoples instruments lol
Looked or just picked up lol..I become mad too in school .. especially when some non guitarist comes up and plays my guitar lol
The cool thing about this documentary being born in 92 a year after Jason is that it kinda rewalked me through the time I grew up in and figuring out an instrument in high school and being into metal in high school. Good times.
Fantastic Jason, you really blew my mind. You're a true artist with authentic talent. God bless you brotha.
I appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge Trick and Trina in the additional music section lol. That song is the jam
I have been so stoked for this album for so long! Have it preordered on Google Play, and since I'm moving to Florida this Friday starting at 6 am, it'll be out just in time 😉 lol look forward to meeting you one day Jason, you are without a doubt someone I strive to be like musically. Keep rockin'! \m/
This makes me want to learn alot more on guitar watching him and listening to how he plays is crazy
It has been so long since I've found something that has really caught my attention and now the drought is over. This fucking album is the most skillful and impressive one I've experienced in my pathetic existence. The music of the gods is the only explanation for it. Highly anticipated from the day it was spoken, it exceeds every expectation by a longshot. The best fucking work by everyone involved. I can't stop listening to it. Congratulations on the best album of the entire human existence. Well worth the money. 👍👌
41:32 he just played a random Mario Bros riff? right before start the real riff tracking? for real? WTF?
27:24 he plays the same thing on piano. he obviously likes that song lol
Jason, you are one of my most favorite persons in the world right now, so inspiring on so many levels. Will watch this, share it and get the album as you represent the most evolved type of musicians these days. thanks for everything! Major props! \m/ :) \m/
Man this is going to be epic. It inspires to such a high level, like that feeling that you can do anything without fear of losing, that you know that you are going to accomplish. Sick dude, can't wait to hear it tomorrow!
Awesome! I like the random noises and sounds xD
Especially the background music is really spot on!
Jason seem like a good guy!
good shit man i cant wait to hear the full album
10:15 Veil of "MAYO", was that on purpose? lol
Ok, just noticed another easter egg so I'll assume that was on purpose. Lol
Jason Richardson - Banjo Player
Zaldhy Darwin that one killed me haha
it was on purpose. look at that part everytime someones name comes up. its always something funny. and it changes a lot, Jasons says shit like "guitar meister" and "banjoist"
Even tho I don't play guitar anymore, Jason is & would be a huge influence of mine if I were to start again
The first time I had ever heard of Jason Richardson was when I saw his music video here on RUclips for Omni. I was definitely impressed and immediately interested in his other work.
yessssss reupload! thanks JR!
I've been listening to you since those videos of your submissions for All Shall Perish hit the web. I went and seen you live multiple times while you were in asp including night of the living shred tour which was sick. It's awesome to see your progression and you definitely haven't disappointed yet with your amazing playing. Great job Jason.
Awesome documentary! Wayyy too stoked for this album! \mm/
Thanks dude!
1:02 that is a good guitar strum honestly!!!
Amazing cant wait !
This is amazing, dude. Congrats on the new record.
You're an inspiration man. Truly.
1:01 AW
I've been a huge fan of Chelsea Grin for 5 years now, must say I'm actually so stoked to hear this full record tomorrow!
Gratz Jason! You have come far! :D
Chicago Style LOVE for you, Jason,,,,just KILLING IT,,,time, after time!!!
Great job on the doc, Joey!
your amazing man you've taught me A lot through your guitar playing i play a right handed guitar left handed so I listen by ear but just wanna say thank you so much for what you do man your bleased. I've ordered your album can't wait to hear it :) much respect
Spencer's vocals on Left Foot Action at the end are amazing...
One of my favourite guitarist Jason Richardson
Hernan me and my dad were talking about Jason and how creative he was and how crazy he is on guitar. he's not even human on guitar toooo gooood
how creative he is****
So glad I could help make this album possible.
his music makes me go to other dimension.
Jason ever since I heard you shred in born of osiris I've been listened to your music and ever since I've been wanting to hear a solo album and this really has passed my expectations this album is fucking awesome
Stoked... Fully.
Also kinda bummed I didn't see my name in the credits. Haha
I fucking love the "wait" at the crosswalks. Can't ever just press it once.
Met you one summer at Daddy's in Boston back in the day. Awesome to see how far you have gone man good shit.
These videos are the reason why I've been sooo hyped for this album!! Great job guys!!!!
Awesome dude
this was a good watch. Stoked for the new album
I can only imagine how hard the calluses on your fingers are.
DeRos brought me here! Can't wait to see what kind of crazy stuff could come out of a collab between you two!
